It comes from breeders not selective breeding its skiddish dogs in every line people will breed just because of paper but not what in front of them not trying to be negative but you can tell she doesn't come down from quality parents it can be world class redboy and it can be junk coming down from the same family through different dogs
I'll actually give you a quality apbt pup I'm not just on here trying to be negative I was blessed in the dogs and I try to do the same for other people
That is a fact. I thought I was doing enough with her but I see I have to do more. She was on an old collar and got off this morning, I had a hard time catching her. That’s a trait that I wanna get away from. When she have her second heat, I’m looking to breed her once and may sell her.
I don’t mean to be harsh but I’ve gotta say the truth… I hope you aren’t planning on breeding her my dude.. because, as a breeder, you should only be using the very best. The reason she is skiddish is because of her genetics. The breeder either gave you pup from the litter that doesn’t represent the bloodline well or the pups have been poorly bred throughout their line and now those traits are showing up with more consistency. This is why not everyone should breed. People don’t understand the actual importance of selective breeding. A real, legit dogman would only select the very best. He would only select the dogs that absolutely represent the bloodline from the foundation. Exceptions to things like a weak nerved, skiddish dogs will eventually ruin an entire bloodline. You really have to know what you’re doing in selection and you really have to be able to get your hands on the best, most proven and consistent bloodlines and then you have to select for those traits coming from the foundation dogs and you have to be able to maintain that level of excellence. That’s why the game is dead now days. There are very very few who actually know what they’re doing and to get the best dogs isn’t easy unless you know. No offense. She may be a nice dog but she is definitely lacking and to pass that on or add that to the bloodline would ruin it. That’s why dogs are so trash now days. People make exceptions - not knowing or caring that they are ruining the breed. Getting a dog for breeding should be a very, very, serious and well thought out plan. You have to have knowledge of the dogs in the pedigree as far as temperament, genetics, abilities etc. go. And you have to have the best representations of that blood. If you want the best, you’ve got to have the best and if you want to produce the best you have to be the best.
