I really enjoy your PCB repair videos, I hope you do more on this or the other channel 🙂
Very informative and fascinating to see what's wrong with them.
A lot more things to go wrong for PCB's & so much more to learn for us, enjoy learning new things from your videos about the arcade scene.
Regardless great content, keep up the great work. Whatever you cover I will watch 🤝
I see you're getting better at editing video also, nice time/speed ramp effect at the end.

So Mike how much did it cost to replace that speaker after the repair volume blew it? lol. Nice work as always sir, looking forward to the upcoming videos too! Thanks as always for sharing with us my friend! :)

I remember getting killed years ago for posting pictures of me using radial caps instead of surface mount caps. hooray vindication.

I love your channel. I literally jumped when you fixed the sound. I wasn't expecting it to be so loud lol.

There's a replacement kit for these, fairly easy to do, just have to desolder the proprietary chip on the bottom of the original and install it onto the new replacement. No worries about the caps.
The owner of this board I know heard from a friend, that had basic repair knowledge, that installing the replacement was super difficult since he had failed previously trying to take that chip off. So instead of letting me do it, they sent it off to a "trustworthy" repair man online. That was almost a year and a half ago and we haven't seen the board yet lol.

Xexex also uses this same Konami 054544 sound module and a fix for a faulty module is the same as X-Men.

Um pouco de fluxo e uma ponta de ferro adequada facilitaria muito.

Mike, do me a favor cause its absolutely killing me! Please clean your soldering iron tip! Get you one of those brass sponges to dip into and shine it up. That thing is so dirty its probably what was contributing to your solder not flowing well.
