Chen was too into his character in that scene, which made him exhausted and suffocated. He collapsed without knowing that he did, not until one of the other actors at the scene found it strange that Chen was out of the frame. The staff then went to check out the situation and woke him up. That's really hard work right there. Hope he'll get some rest during busy filming days.
