I´ve just received my GPW-1000V (vintage edition) In November and the watch is amazing!!! Best G-shock i ever had and currently the #1 of my collection. Great video!!
*_Great review My man!!! One function that you didn’t cover is a function available in most pure analog Tough Solar Wave Ceptors. It’s the short cut back to Home Time Mode. In any mode, including Home Time Mode, depress C or the the bottom southwest button 😏, for about a sec. or so & you’re back to Home Time Mode. This ‘hack’ is esp. expedient in knowing your battery level, without having to cycle through all of the modes. It saves you a few pushes of the Mode button. I hope that helps._*
These watches will never grow outdated...... I just bought a 2014 GPW-1000-1BJF and looks like new......The guy told me it's been in the box for years since new......Give me $350.00 .....So I bought it !
Having trouble finding the information, is there a battery level indicator on the GPW-1000 models? Or am I just supposed to wait until it goes into some sort of low energy level mode? Not seeing anything about it without completely rereading the instructions. If you can help, Thanks in advance!
Chuck switch between modes... when you return to home time you’ll see the seconds hand point to either 12 - 2 - 4 or 6... full battery if it point to 12 or 2. Needs charge if it points to 4 or 6. Let me know if that makes sense
@@GiShockGo I was able to check on two watches to see what you indicated, after going through the four modes, they went back to regular time mode, one read 12 (full) and the other read 4. So would that be that read like a scale from 12 - 6 like high, med. & low, or charged and somewhere middle, needing a charge? I had been thinking about this for a while now, and I know most of the solar ones have some sort of battery indicator, so this was 100% helpful. Thank you for taking the time to respond and explain it for me!
Pressing and holding B for 1 second requests time synchronization shown by the second hand pointing to T. Pressing and holding 3 seconds requests time and position, i.e. GPS synchronization as shown by T+P. You didn't seem to be aware of this when you were explaining it.
Pal, when i press my c button, its always circling within the left side functions of the week day dial..its not showing day of the week when the last click is over with c but just goes and ends at the ✈️ symbol..pls help
*_Your watch is stuck in Airplane Mode. To remedy this issue, depress C (or the Mode button) for about 4 to 6 secs. The Latitude/Mode indicator should now read a day of the week._*
I have a problem with my GPW1000-1B.. everytime i will do manual time calibration thru "TIME" or "T+P". The second hand will just directly point to "NO" and back to timekeeping mode, without doing any searching. Any tips on how to solve this problem? thank you.
@@GiShockGo Battery charge is ok at 2pm pointing. It was not really used last month by the 1st owner. Does power saving mode have anything to do with this? i already charge it for 2 days under direct sunlight in our house window.
I think the GARMIN D2 CHARLIE WATCH much bettet and more aviation or pilot needs,,,in this CASIO GPW1000 WATCH is hard to operate and read his GPS and to much expensive watch than GARMIN D2 CHARLIE WATCH..and the GARMIN D2 CHARLIE WATCH are official issue watch to every pilot of U2 AIRCRAFT of US AIR FORCE for back up of high altitude and oxygen blood reading..

Chuck ... that’s about right. If it pointed to 4 it’s like a medium charge.

Hi my gpw1000 modehand stuck on N and it wont move no matter what i press, can anyone help?
how GPS work in this watch?
The GPS antenna is the ring around the watch. It will receive signals from the satellites. ( i think three are needed for triangulation)
I find the alarm is too quiet.
