I was raised an atheist. Saw various things which made me think about life. Tried to become Christian, as Islam looked too hard with my family. Yet, I cried every time when in church and I just couldn’t accept Jesus as a God.. so I had a loting conversations with muslims and one of them used to be a priest. He told me in Luca 18, verse 19, Jesus said “how can they call me good, whilst there’s only one good, namely God”. Then I pursued Islam, it’s been 15 years now AlhamdulilLaah. And I have to say Jesus is so much more to us then “just a good teacher”. Christianity rewrote a lot of old rules and cancelled a lot of traditions, it was updated and renewed in the time of Christ and later. Christianity isn't fixed and always evolving. Hello, these are great questions! I'd advise sitting down and reading at least one of the Gospels sometime, it doesn't take long and can't hurt. You'll find your answer in the Gospel of John, the famous verse in chapter 3 verse 16: "For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." The answer to why God would die for us is because He loves us. You may ask why did He care enough to do that or why does He love us. The answer to that is found in Isaiah 43:7 which states, "Everyone who is called by My name, I have created for My Glory..." The reason for the death and resurrection of Jesus and the salvation of sinners is for the glory of God, who ALONE deserves glory and honor. These are the books included in the Ethiopian Bible.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) did actually meet Jesus and John (peace be upon them) during his night journey to Heaven. There he also met Joseph, Ibrahim, and Moses (peace be upon them).

As a Muslim, I appreciate how civil and respectful this man was on debating against the religious of Islam ☪️. But part of what he said was incorrect, we don’t believe he was just a good teacher. We believe that he was one of the most important prophets that we know and we believe in all the miracles he performed. We would say that he was just a good teacher, if he was able to perform miracles that no normal human could do.

Before Mohammed. We believe in the miracles of Jesus and the virgin birth. (by Mary) But what we don’t believe this the fact that Jesus is god or the son of god, we see him as a prophet (who was very important). We also believe that he will come back a second time and that he never even died the first time he was on Earth. We just ascended to heaven. 2. Muhammad PBUH was the last prophet. Muhammad PBUH never even knew how to read or write, but when Angel Gabriel commanded him to read, it was like he magically could. Muhammad PBUH taught his friends the world of Allah that Angel Gabriel told him, and his friends spread it like wild fire. It was eventually written down to become the Quran, and it was been preserved ever since. Millions of people have memorised the Quran, word for word. As you are not allowed to change it in any way. 3. So I’m assuming that you are asking me personally, so I will answer in that perspective. I was born a Muslim, when I was little I didn’t know much about religion at the time. But as I got older I understood more about my faith. The older I became, the more I started seeing Islamic content on social media. And some for the things I saw, made me proud. Because I heard people talking about some of the teachings of Islam, and comparing it to other religions, Islam was so pure and beautiful. And some things were more logical that made me truly believe in Allah. For example, some things that the Quran banned, 1400 years ago, was discovered by scientists to be unhealthy for you, over 1000 years later. That it just one of the examples. 😊

The Quran says much about Jesus in high honor, but does not refer to him as a deity to be worshipped; that honour belongs solely to The One Who Created Jesus.

No one shares the love that Muslims and Christians have for Jesus. We must unite upon that love and realize how similar we are compared to everyone else.

And there's this one key difference between how Muslims and Christians see Jesus. For a Muslim, Jesus dying on the cross would've been a humiliation and a defeat. For a Christian, his death was his greatest victory. The most incredible miracle he's ever done.

Muslims see his death rather tragic and believe what those that mocked Jesus on the cross believed: that if Jesus was the son of God, he should've escaped death. For Christians, his death was necessary bc without him dying, our sins wouldn't have been forgiven. His death was a triumph over the sin itself. Also, the fact that he did endure it and the fact that God did let him die for humanity is proof how much God loves his creation. Also, in Christian belief, Jesus is also not dead. He rose from the dead, defeating death itself and taking its power away, which - for a Christian - is an even bigger and greater victory. To defeat death, rather than evading it. That's why easter is our most important holiday - because it marks the biggest victory of Jesus, who defeated death, rose from the grave and now sits on his throne to his fathers right until the day he comes back in glory.

There were no “eye witnesses” to Jesus… The earliest parts of the bible are Paul's letters (the 7 that are not fake)… He clearly states that he only knew of Jesus from visions and the scriptures. Everything else about Jesus was made up decades later to appeal to as many people as possible and discredit different visions from any competing sects (to consolidate power). There is nothing unique about Jesus… he fits the same pattern as about a dozen Mystery Cults popping up in the Middle East during the Hellenistic influence period. Same stories as Osiris, the Eleusinian Mysteries, and Mithraism… just with a Jewish flavour this time. The Mystery for the “initiated” being that the stories are all made up and Jesus was a celestial being crucified by demons not on this earth… just like all the other Mystery Cults. All religions are bullshit. Love everyone and have a positive impact on the world. Make this life count as there is no afterlife.
We can see that Muhammad is not a prophet by the way he behaved, he blasphemed God, he murdered and stole from people, he took peoples wives away from them, he cheated on his wives with "secret wives"/ slaves, he used his prophet status to get what he wanted all the time all while never prophesying a single thing. Good try but the references you have given are not contradictory at all. Jesus is truly God and truly man. As God in human form, He limited His power, but that doesn't mean He wasn't God. There are times when Jesus displays divine power and times where Jesus displays humanity. The kingdom of God has drawn near and Jesus is our perfect saviour who makes a way for flawed humans to have a relationship with God.

But they could of lived a lot longer and in paradise and could of been made immortal if they stayed in the garden so they do “die” a lot earlier than they could have and they are burdened with knowledge of good and evil making their own choices since they clearly won’t be following God’s. It’s part of “free will” but free will to allow us to destroy our own selves or choose to follow God’s commands. They died as they were and became something different when they ate the fruit and would not be allowed to have blissful ignorance again of such things as their nakedness. The serpent wanted them to have knowledge “like god” but the knowledge isn’t really meant for us so it hurts us in the long run. Just think about the intent behind why who said what and realize it was a shit test for Adam and Eve and they didn’t want to live under their Father’s rules so they got kicked out! End of story basically… the original disobedient child story and why you should respect your parents wishes and not be a know it all child that thinks they know better.

After Adam and Eve ate the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, God was looking for them. Adam and Eve were hiding because they gained something that's hindering them to face God. Their knowledge of what is being good and evil prevents them from seeing God and staying in His presence. So why was God looking for them, isn't He God? Why didn't they die after eating it? Well, in God's eyes, their spirit was "deadened" (1 Thessalonians 5:23 speaks of our three parts) They weren't literally dead! It's the function of our spirit that was dead. That's why we gained knowledge in our soul and our spirit no longer functioning. Only in the spirit that God wants to find us and us to worship Him (John 4:24) Satan is a rebel in the Bible, wanting to be like God to gain authority over God. So when satan rebelled against God he also deceived some of God's angels and led them to rebellion. Like Eve who leads mankind to rebellion. God did not lie and so did the serpent that time. The first fall of man starts with questions "❓" Questioning God's speaking and His being "God" is a type of questions that will be leading us to rebellion. We will never learn from this if we keep on disobeying our Father.

However, I think that God's words should be understood in their original meaning, avoiding interpretation as much as possible. What I mean to say is that when God says, "If you eat this, you will die," he does not mean the death of the purity and beauty in the souls of Adam and Eve, as you interpret. In the first sense that comes to mind, it means death. If you drink detergent you die, if you eat an apple you die. But we see that this does not turn out to be true, because they do not die and are exiled to the world. At this point, I see that the Quran, the book of Islam, which I believe in, tells the story of Adam and Eve with a clear consistency that leaves no room for doubt. God only forbids eating the fruit, and the devil deceives Adam and Eve by telling some lies. Likewise, I find the narrative style of the Quran more beautiful. When I read Genesis, it puts the blame for being kicked out of heaven on the woman. He mentions that the woman will suffer while giving birth as punishment. Moreover, after this crime, neither Adam nor Eve pray to God and ask for forgiveness. In the Quran, it is written that Satan caused both of them to make mistakes. He does not place the blame on Adam or Eve. In the Quran, Adam and Eve pray to God and ask for forgiveness after making a mistake. Praying and asking for forgiveness after a mistake is in line with the teachings of religion and the integrity of the story. I think that they tell the same story in two different ways and that the narrative of the Quran is more consistent.

NOTE: The Bible never mentions the fruit "apple" being eaten by Adam and Eve. It's the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil.
If he's saying that Muhammad (PBUH) cannot be trusted because he came later, then how can the gospels which were written a generation after Jesus and the writers whom never met him be trusted? Especially since there's no original copies of the gospels, only copies of copies that have been edited throughout thousands of years. Edit: Also wanted to mention the 500 eyewitnesses he talks about isn't based on any scientific research but rather just a quote from a letter from Paul, who also never met Jesus.
The gospels have not been edited, there have been transliterations to adapt to language barriers, but that’s all. Secondly, the gospels were written by people who saw Jesus, Muslims always use that as an argument but can never provide proof as to where the perverted writings are, and provide proof that the unperverted ones different. But, if you still choose to believe that the gospels are corrupted, you can look at the 25000 ancient manuscripts that support Christian theology, and hint hint, these manuscripts back up the gospels, which is further proof they aren’t perverted.

Now when it comes to the author’s authenticity, we can’t fully prove if what they are saying is true, but you can’t do that with anything. What we are dealing with is not facts, but rather probabilities, which again, is with anything and everything. The fact that there are thousands of written pieces, made by different people, in different places at different times that spoke about Christian theology (in particular what Jesus said) with 99% accuracy shared between one another, it begins to seem highly improbable that anything other then Christianity could represent Jesus in the correct way.

Athiest here, I'm gonna drop an opinion I had bottled up but kinda give insight on what or why I am the way I am. Religion in general is like free therapy in my eyes. You can pray, put all of your troubles, forgive, etc. All into one god/lord that you believe in and to be frank, that's really nice. Personally, I never really cared about any sort of religion due to tension, arguing, etc. Many people don't know what's right or wrong when in reality, that answer has and will never be truthfully discovered. What I like about how this guy explains Christianity is the fact that he backs up his claims with facts and logic rather and feelings which as someone who is Athiest can kinda agree on. As an Athiest, I don't believe in any god. I do know that historically, Jesus Christ did exist and definitely had one hell of a life, but there's so much talk about the truth of it that I just personally don't care about. What I'm getting at is that I don't care if there's a god or not I just wanna know the earliest time I get off of work so I can get home and play video games. Instead of wrapping my head in what to believe in. Not saying that is dumb, but I also left a lot out. Religion isn't just what you believe in or whos god to believe in, it's also a lifestyle and an awakening.
We are not our bodies, the body is simply a vessel for our soul. He simply created a body for himself, just because the body died doesn't mean his soul did.

This sounds pretty evil to me. This means that Allah tricked Jesus’ own apostles, the Jews and countless Christians to come into unknowingly committing shirk for 600 years until the arrival of Muhammed.
I also find it ironic that the Quran claims we are in doubt of the crucifixion…the crucifixion is the one event we are most certain of, while Muslims aren’t even exactly sure what took place, e.g, was it Judas on the cross, was it another apostle or did the crucifixion actually happen, but Jesus survived (something Deedat believed in himself)?

There’s only one way to sort this out: just establish if Muhammad peace be upon him was a prophet or not. If he is, then by extension isa(jesus) peace be upon him is a prophet too. I was raised an atheist. Saw various things which made me think about life. Tried to become Christian, as Islam looked too hard with my family. Christianity rewrote a lot of old rules and cancelled a lot of traditions, it was updated and renewed in the time of Christ and later. Christianity isn't fixed and always evolving. There're plenty of Greek and Roman mythology plotted in the religion also. Timothy is a letter of Paul to a friend (brother in faith) Timothy. It's directed to one person and should be used with context.

You'll find your answer in the Gospel of John, the famous verse in chapter 3 verse 16: "For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." The answer to why God would die for us is because He loves us. You may ask why did He care enough to do that or why does He love us. The answer to that is found in Isaiah 43:7 which states, "Everyone who is called by My name, I have created for My Glory..." The reason for the death and resurrection of Jesus and the salvation of sinners is for the glory of God, who ALONE deserves glory and honor.

That is if you believe that these sources, once written on parchment, did not change or conflict with other sources from the same time that had a different view. And that the religion of Christianity first started to be set in stone with the Council of Nicea, with a Democratic vote, 325 AD
You can verify whether these early parchments say the same thing by studying the language they were written in and comparing them to each other.
When you do that, you’ll discover what the translators of those texts discovered. Which is that they match up within 99% accuracy of one another.
The only 1% difference being some of the words have a different spelling and therefore pronunciation when spoken. However, these words have the same meaning, so the ideas/meaning expressed is the same.

The Ethiopian bible, considered one of the oldest canonized Bibles has all 15 books of the Apocrypha: 1 Esdras, 2 Esdras, The Book of Tobit, The Book of Susanna, Additions to Esther, The Book of Judith, Wisdom of Solomon, Ecclesiasticus, Baruch, The Epistle of Jeremiah, The Prayer of Azariah, Bel and the Dragon, Prayer of Manasses, 1 Maccabees, 2 Maccabees, The Book of Enoch, The Book of Jubilees
And these are not some esoteric, fanfiction books. These are the books included in the Ethiopian Bible.

1. We believe that Jesus (or Isa in Arabic) was the second to last prophet. Before Mohammed. We believe in the miracles of Jesus and the virgin birth. (by Mary) But what we don’t believe this the fact that Jesus is god or the son of god, we see him as a prophet (who was very important). We also believe that he will come back a second time and that he never even died the first time he was on Earth. We just ascended to heaven.
2. Muhammad PBUH was the last prophet. I believe it was Angel Gabriel who showed Muhammad PBUH the world of Allah. Muhammad PBUH never even knew how to read or write, but when Angel Gabriel commanded him to read, it was like he magically could. Muhammad PBUH taught his friends the world of Allah that Angel Gabriel told him, and his friends spread it like wild fire. It was eventually written down to become the Quran, and it was been preserved ever since. Millions of people have memorised the Quran, word for word. As you are not allowed to change it in any way.
3. So I’m assuming that you are asking me personally, so I will answer in that perspective. I was born a Muslim, when I was little I didn’t know much about religion at the time. But as I got older I understood more about my faith. The older I became, the more I started seeing Islamic content on social media. And some for the things I saw, made me proud. Because I heard people talking about some of the teachings of Islam, and comparing it to other religions, Islam was so pure and beautiful. And some things were more logical that made me truly believe in Allah. For example, some things that the Quran banned, 1400 years ago, was discovered by scientists to be unhealthy for you, over 1000 years later. That it just one of the examples. 😊

He clearly states that he only knew of Jesus from visions and the scriptures.
Everything else about Jesus was made up decades later to appeal to as many people as possible and discredit different visions from any competing sects (to consolidate power).
There is nothing unique about Jesus… he fits the same pattern as about a dozen Mystery Cults popping up in the Middle East during the Hellenistic influence period. Same stories as Osiris, the Eleusinian Mysteries, and Mithraism… just with a Jewish flavour this time.

Jesus is truly God and truly man. As God in human form, He limited His power, but that doesn't mean He wasn't God. There are times when Jesus displays divine power and times where Jesus displays humanity.

Can you see the difference in the narrative? In Genesis, God, the symbol of goodness, says that if you eat the fruit, you will die, but the snake, the symbol of evil, says no, you will not die, you will start to be able to distinguish between right and wrong and become like God.
In the Quran, Allah only prohibits eating fruit. Satan says that if they eat the fruit, they will be like angels and immortal.
In the narrative of Genesis, after eating the fruit, they do not die contrary to what God said, but as the snake said, they begin to distinguish between right and wrong and become like gods.

In both religions, God is the symbol of goodness and honesty, while the devil/snake is the symbol of evil and lies. The Quran complies with these symbols, but the Genesis does not. In Genesis it is clear that what God says does not turn out to be true, but what the serpent says turns out to be true. In other words, contrary to the teaching, God lied and the snake/devil told the truth.
For those who are intelligent and have the ability to question, the difference is clearly evident.
But they could of lived a lot longer and in paradise and could of been made immortal if they stayed in the garden so they do “die” a lot earlier than they could have and they are burdened with knowledge of good and evil making their own choices since they clearly won’t be following God’s. It’s part of “free will” but free will to allow us to destroy our own selves or choose to follow God’s commands. They died as they were and became something different when they ate the fruit and would not be allowed to have blissful ignorance again of such things as their nakedness. The serpent wanted them to have knowledge “like god” but the knowledge isn’t really meant for us so it hurts us in the long run. Just think about the intent behind why who said what and realize it was a shit test for Adam and Eve and they didn’t want to live under their Father’s rules so they got kicked out! End of story basically… the original disobedient child story and why you should respect your parents wishes and not be a know it all child that thinks they know better.

Of course, you can interpret what you said as your own interpretation that this is a "disobedient child story". However, when you interpret the verses clearly and with the first meaning that comes to mind, you will see that God is lying and the serpent is telling the truth.
After Adam and Eve ate the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, God was looking for them. Adam and Eve were hiding because they gained something that's hindering them to face God. Their knowledge of what is being good and evil prevents them from seeing God and staying in His presence. So why was God looking for them, isn't He God? Why didn't they die after eating it? Well, in God's eyes, their spirit was "deadened" (1 Thessalonians 5:23 speaks of our three parts) They weren't literally dead! It's the function of our spirit that was dead. That's why we gained knowledge in our soul and our spirit no longer functioning. Only in the spirit that God wants to find us and us to worship Him (John 4:24)
Satan is a rebel in the Bible, wanting to be like God to gain authority over God. So when satan rebelled against God he also deceived some of God's angels and led them to rebellion. Like Eve who leads mankind to rebellion.
God did not lie and so did the serpent that time. The first fall of man starts with questions "❓" Questioning God's speaking and His being "God" is a type of questions that will be leading us to rebellion. We will never learn from this if we keep on disobeying our Father.

Of course, you can interpret the verses in the holy book in your own way, as did the friend who wrote before you, and I respect that. However, I think that God's words should be understood in their original meaning, avoiding interpretation as much as possible. What I mean to say is that when God says, "If you eat this, you will die," he does not mean the death of the purity and beauty in the souls of Adam and Eve, as you interpret. In the first sense that comes to mind, it means death. If you drink detergent you die, if you eat an apple you die. But we see that this does not turn out to be true, because they do not die and are exiled to the world.
At this point, I see that the Quran, the book of Islam, which I believe in, tells the story of Adam and Eve with a clear consistency that leaves no room for doubt. God only forbids eating the fruit, and the devil deceives Adam and Eve by telling some lies.
Likewise, I find the narrative style of the Quran more beautiful. When I read Genesis, it puts the blame for being kicked out of heaven on the woman. He mentions that the woman will suffer while giving birth as punishment. Moreover, after this crime, neither Adam nor Eve pray to God and ask for forgiveness.
In the Quran, it is written that Satan caused both of them to make mistakes. He does not place the blame on Adam or Eve. In the Quran, Adam and Eve pray to God and ask for forgiveness after making a mistake. Praying and asking for forgiveness after a mistake is in line with the teachings of religion and the integrity of the story.
I think that they tell the same story in two different ways and that the narrative of the Quran is more consistent.

You clearly need more reading in the Bible than just reading Genesis. There are a lot more significations you will encounter that are directly from THE BIBLE.
NOTE: The Bible never mentions the fruit "apple" being eaten by Adam and Eve. It's the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil.
If he's saying that Muhammad (PBUH) cannot be trusted because he came later, then how can the gospels which were written a generation after Jesus and the writers whom never met him be trusted? Especially since there's no original copies of the gospels, only copies of copies that have been edited throughout thousands of years.
Edit: Also wanted to mention the 500 eyewitnesses he talks about isn't based on any scientific research but rather just a quote from a letter from Paul, who also never met Jesus.
The gospels have not been edited, there have been transliterations to adapt to language barriers, but that’s all. Secondly, the gospels were written by people who saw Jesus, Muslims always use that as an argument but can never provide proof as to where the perverted writings are, and provide proof that the unperverted ones different. But, if you still choose to believe that the gospels are corrupted, you can look at the 25000 ancient manuscripts that support Christian theology, and hint hint, these manuscripts back up the gospels, which is further proof they aren’t perverted.

Now when it comes to the author’s authenticity, we can’t fully prove if what they are saying is true, but you can’t do that with anything. Athiest here, I'm gonna drop an opinion I had bottled up but kinda give insight on what or why I am the way I am.
Religion in general is like free therapy in my eyes. You can pray, put all of your troubles, forgive, etc. All into one god/lord that you believe in and to be frank, that's really nice.
Personally, I never really cared about any sort of religion due to tension, arguing, etc. Many people don't know what's right or wrong when in reality, that answer has and will never be truthfully discovered. What I like about how this guy explains Christianity is the fact that he backs up his claims with facts and logic rather and feelings which as someone who is Athiest can kinda agree on.
As an Athiest, I don't believe in any god. I do know that historically, Jesus Christ did exist and definitely had one hell of a life, but there's so much talk about the truth of it that I just personally don't care about.
What I'm getting at is that I don't care if there's a god or not I just wanna know the earliest time I get off of work so I can get home and play video games. Instead of wrapping my head in what to believe in.

Because they don’t believe in the abrahamic God. Nothing about Allah resembles the Christian God in the New Testament. And fundamentally/theologically speaking, they don’t believe in the same God either. As Christian’s who believe the Bible know that denying the trinity or any part of his divinity as Jesus is heresy. Anyone who believes otherwise doesn’t believe in the Christian God as he himself makes it that a believer can only be one that believes that Christ is God.
I can also go to other examples like how Allan’s highest position he has for his followers is comparing his best followers as slaves. Christianity sees their God refer to his followers from their sons or daughters and most encouraging, he referred to his believers as even his friends. Would you rather have a society filled of people who view their relationship with God as slaves to allah or people who believe their relationship to God is that of a family and friendship? How did you think people who view themselves like that will treat other people who aren’t believers of Islam?
