    I did my nails today using acrylic, it's the second time. After watching several videos like this on I felt confident a little nervous about using my non dominate hand. Aside from the fact that I have a cheap brush and cheap acrylic it took me 4 hours and I was surprised that I did a better job on my dominate hand. After filing they look as good as I've had done in a salon. I get nervous trying to remember every tip you have mentioned but I think after I get some of your products and practice, I'll be a pro in no time. 😜 LOL

    • @youngnailsinc

    @youngnailsinc I just did an overlay on my active length natural nails using ELO Acrylic. Within a day or two the acrylic was separating and chipping from the free edge corners. Any advice on what I may have done wrong or advice on how to avoid this issue? (Nail was prepped and Protein Bond was applied first.) Thanks for your help!!

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  7 місяців тому +1

      Make sure you use a medium sanding band or 150 grit file to prep and cleanse with Swipe to properly cleanse and prep the nail surface. Also, we recommend 2 coats of Protein Bond for the best adhesion.

    Your concealer bases, can I use them as a overlay strengthener, Right after taken a set off?!
    Like 1 or 2 layers just for strength after any set.

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  2 роки тому

      If you are just working over a natural nail, we would recommend using a soft gel (ManiQ or Fiber Gel) rather than a hard gel. Soft gels tend to be more flexible so when the natural nail moves, the soft gel will move with it. You can use the Concealer Base if the natural nail is stronger, but if there is not much other strength to the nail, the hard gel may crack when the natural nail bends.

    • @youngnailsinc

      To extend the length, you need to use either a nail tip or a form. We have videos on both here.

    Can I mix acrylic and gel? What I mean by that is can I build the extension with sculptur gel and then continue doing the rest of the nail with acrylic or will it come apart? A few weeks ago I did my first acrylic set. I used tips but clients nails were naturally very c curved and I'm not ready to use forms and acrylic yet.

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  2 роки тому +1

      In the way you are think yes and no. Yes, you can put one on top of the other. No, because acrylic doesn't work as good on top of gel as gel does on top of acrylic.
