Jellyfish Update: It's a newly identified species of Jellyfish in the Irukandji family called a 'Keesingia Gigas' and seems to have a Commensalism Relationship with the little file fish, which means the small fish benefit by using the Jellyfish as protection and the Jellyfish is not affected :) Oh and they would cause a horrible sting to Humans, so don't touch! Thanks for watching, Strick
It was very interesting to watch .. I also thought the little fish were friends with the jelly fish… very cool thanks for filming it… I love your videos Stay safe 🤙🏼
Awesome trivia, love learning while watching! I don't know much about your back stories, very cool information also about the Crown of thorns Starfish. It's pretty cool learning about your history and how you moved into youtubing full time. something you should do sometime!
Marine biology with Fran should be a regular thing, I love hearing interesting things about the ocean/different species from you guys because you are witnessing it first hand
I've got to say, I really think the new boat is a great addition to the adventure's, like you said a lot less strain on y'all, as far as sleeping, keeping things dry, and every other aspect. You might rig up a rain water collection system, for fresh water. thanks for letting us tag along on your adventure's guys. Needless to say we love your videos.👍👍💕🐾
There is no reason for a person to starve in seafood rich location environment like this. The scenery is beautiful above and below the water. I know this is a year old but I love you guys and thanks for taking us along on your journey.
I think this could be my favourite episode of all. It was great to hear both of you sharing a bit of your passion for reef conservation and the time with the sea lions was amazing. Thank you so much for making these videos.
What an amazing episode! I love the marine biology facts and think they would be a nice regular addition. The sea lions, though!!!! Watching them play was so fun and the pure joy in Fran was priceless. For me, the more animals I see, the happier, I am. Last but not least, dusk with salt air and ocean breeze. That scene was so nostalgic that I could almost feel it. Thank you again for sharing your adventures. --Jessica from Florida 🌞
I absolutely love your videos. I swear that I replayed the connection with the seal like 18 times. absolutely beautiful.....I recently lost my mom, but your expeditions brings me joy. I Played one of your videos while she was in the hospital and she freaking loved it. That was the only video she watched, but know she is most likely your guardian angel.YOU both bring joy into my life.
Well, what so spatial about this channel? No uniqueness... pretty girl in bikini? so? if you like it doesn't mean everyone suppose to like it. UA-cam tough market.
Unbelievably fantastic content guys, Fran,s interaction with the seal lions was just beautiful. The passion you both have for the ocean is truly inspirational. Love it.👍👍
Captain Jack, I hope you never get used to your first mate. I hope you always see that special person who cooks like a pro, surfs like a fish on top of the water, can fish better than most men, has such a great knowledge of marine life and good lord, she is a siren. Beauty alone is empty until filled with personality and Fran has a ton of that. Love ya Fran!!
Incredible underwater scenery, stunning. Great adventure on the new boat. Thanks Genesis. The playful sea lions were fantastic. Awesome Fran makes Strick look good.
One of your most enjoyable episodes. Im appreciating the diversity of your adventures! Also its so good hearing Fran telling the story a lot more now as well! You’re a great team. Thanks!!
Crazy awesome. Love the marine biology facts and tidbits. I’ll probably never ever come close to this kind of life as a land locked Canadian so it’s awesome to see what the raw side of it looks like!
I love how you both are able to share your knowledge of marine biology. Thankyou for the brief lesson on the crown of thorns starfish, mollusc door and the unique jelly fish etc. Love the playful interaction between Fran and the sea lion swimming on the reef. How cute was it watching the colony of sea lions playing in that island pool.
Strick and Fran, You two are quite possibly the most fortunate people on the planet. Living with another person in close proximity for months at time can be quite challenging. Always love and be kind to another. You can keep the adventure going into old age in one form or the other. Blessings
gotta love you Aussies! So many good Aussie outdoor adventure channels out there and this one no exception. And I always wanted to visit the west coast. Someday....as you say "good on ya". Bravo.
I'm so happy y'all have the new boat...I'm sure she gives you a sense of security...she's beautiful :) This was an amazing vlog with those amazing sea lions...
What a treat playing with the sea lions. Stick you're not being very gentlemanly asking Fran lots of questions when she's trying to get her scram eaten! Loving the new boat, really seems to be a great fit for you.
I do look forward to your videos guys. Love learning a bit about marine science too. Would love to hear more from Fran in episodes with her marine science background. Also Strick did you say your sister is studying a PhD? Would be a great to find out about the jellyfish friending or digesting the little ones? One another note would love a video to hear more about your backgrounds education / study / life before YT. You both have such amazing knowledge and life experience. All the best and thanks for producing some epic content!
Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. I love how you all work so well together and Fran is really coming into her own with great commentary as well. Thanks again.
Crazy good episode guys, and it’s common to see juvenile species of some fish using jellyfish for protection, very common amongst juvenile golden trevally not only using jellyfish but many species of shark and rays and it’s a classic symbiotic relationship generally more beneficial to the smaller of the two species, a bit more marine biology for viewers!
Guys. Wonderful as per usual. I admit, I’m in love with Fran, the brains and bod…she’s a natural for this! ( #luckybastardstrick )And your lifestyles….perfect. Strick , you have a gift for this. So easy to watch and listen. Each episode, I walk away a little more educated….and focused on getting out there myself. So damn much to see. Cannot wait for every new vid. Take care, keep it up. Your Southernmost fan. Rob J, Tasman Peninsula, Tasmania.
That sea lion experience was just gorgeous 💜 Does anyone know what type of jellyfish that was(the one with the small fish inside it)? It was so interesting! xx
I have seen them all. You guys a terrific. I love your raw natural honesty with each other and approach to life. Thank you. Great stuff. Oh and so cute together.
Well one good reason is protection! The ocean has many hazards, and the dive suit can stop you being stung by jelly fish, sea urchins, or stingrays. Not to member if you get bit by a fish or small shark. Coral reefs are also exceptionally sharp, much more dangerous than they look!
Wow, what an adventure! Thanks so much for taking us along. I think you got the good out of the "Salty Dingo". This new boat opens up much more for you two.
Love going back over all these episodes and seeing species of fish . It’s insane we have no where near that many in the Gulf of Mexico with colors like that .i would never wanna leave your paradise ever.

That sea lion experience was just gorgeous 💜 Does anyone know what type of jellyfish that was(the one with the small fish inside it)? It was so interesting! xx
Hello 👋how are you doing?
I have seen them all. You guys a terrific. I love your raw natural honesty with each other and approach to life. Thank you. Great stuff. Oh and so cute together.
I have to ask; why do you always wear a dive suit, even though the water appears to be nice and warm?
Well one good reason is protection! The ocean has many hazards, and the dive suit can stop you being stung by jelly fish, sea urchins, or stingrays. Not to member if you get bit by a fish or small shark. Coral reefs are also exceptionally sharp, much more dangerous than they look!
Basically the same reason humans wear most most clothing since forever hahh 🥰
Jellyfish. Coral. Sea lice. Stuff like that.
Adds protection against shark attack for one reason
Less attraction attacking a guy in a neoprene suit , than some coral bleeding guy in just speedos
Just when you think your episodes can't get any better, there ya go and top it. What an amazing episode!

This has been my favorite video yet. I like the educational parts and really enjoyed the playfulness of the sea lion
Magic encounter with Sea Lions. Sunset and spaghetti dinner to cap off a beautiful day. 😍
I suspect those tiny fish eat what is left after the jelly is done with consuming,
aka...cleaning house, sanitizing.
The two of you do such a wonderful job together. amazing video and educational at the same

You should definitely include more marine biology with Fran sessions in your videos! The ocean is so fascinating and you two are in a perfect position to teach us the stuff we've always wanted to know about ocean ecosystems!
I think those little fish inside that jellyfish have some sort of natural immunity to the jelly's digestive juices making them the perfect house guests!
Hey Strick and Frank, was so happy to here you say you had a tourniquet on board. Maybe even 3 or 4. If it hits the fan one day they will save you. Now that your in different waters can tell that it's on your mind. The reefies in more northern waters have been no factor for you it seems.
Stay safe. 😀
I'm not sure if I would want to live if they needed to apply 4 tourniquets on me.
Amazing episode Fran & Strick, beautiful camera work, since you asked the question " That is definitely a symbiotic relationship between the Jellyfish and the file fish" I think if either species was predatory of each other it would be immediately clear. Let's hope Jess ways in on this one, either way it was great and thanks for the understanding of how you two met.
