Could you please zoom into your face when testing out products? You said the foundation wasn't blending and the powder was dry and I would've loved to seen that! Just a bit of feedback. I do love you so much and I appreciate your videos so much (before I get any hate) xx
Ilmeet Khaneja - I thought either Tati or me were going crazy cause all her makeup looked so good! 😂 I’m never going to understand why beauty influencers don’t zoom in for their reviews. That should be outlawed for any makeup review, lol.
I’ve seen a bunch of commercials about a Korean makeup and skincare line called Medicube, it’s supposed to be for people with acne, oily skin and stuff like that. I personally haven’t tried it because my skin is decent and I don’t really do online shopping but maybe you could try?
Yeah I think Tati was comparing everything to her favorite high end makeup where as this makeup is more for natural, soft looks and not ones she usually wears with synthetics and other chemicals so yeah it’s not gonna be as sturdy
Aw girl don't be so frustrated this makeup is just not made for you to go full glam... But I think for makeup that is supposed to be *natural* you did great!
The thing here is that Burt’s bees makeup goes for a natural no makeup look, and since Tati is so ✨glam✨ it’s just not her thing.... but don’t hate people
Daniela Mozzarellaaa I mean, I've actually bought the product(Burts Bees Foundation) and it's honestly quite bad. It's like it never settles and it leaves almost like edges even when blending in.
angela jakob I mean personally I like just a tint for my skin and I really like the burts bees bb cream. That is pretty noticible for me but that's just my preference
angela jakob Personally, I like the natural makeup look on me. I don't really wear makeup, but when I do wear it, the feeling of those full coverage foundation and concealer feels too heavy for me and the dark lipsticks make me worry that it'll smudge everywhere. Eventually I just wanna wash it off immediately. But neutral makeup, like tinted BB cream and tinted chapstick and a light neutral brown eyeshadow is what I usually go for because it feels lighter and easier to wear. Like Tati said, it's all about preference. :)
Yes!!!! Meaning an oil based primer and concealer may have worked better with blending/layering etc. I mean it's worth a shot to have all natural makeup.
I know this comment was a long time ago, but Burt’s Bees 🐝 made a concealer! I use it and I love it! But I don’t wear foundation cause I’m afraid it will worsen my acne. Their concealer isn’t full coverage but it’s good for a very no makeup makeup look which is what I like for skin makeup. Have a nice day!
Tati this has nothing to do with the video but I just want to give you major respect for the fact that your a BEAUTIFUL , HARD WORKING WOMAN , who puts out content 5 DAYS A WEEK and still has the time to pamper and treat yourself and still look AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL! With your hair done and ALWAYS GLOWING, just everything !!💕 Then after working hard all day, you come read all of the negative comments people have to say and still STAY THE SAME POSITIVE , CLASSY , AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL TATI THAT I KNOW AND RESPECT !!! Always taking everything into consideration and always trying to better yourself at the same time❤ your just so amazing and I just wanted to take the time to say that to you after reading all of these negative comments that you honestly dont deserve. Alot of us appreciate everything you do😊💕 but I'm sure you already know that !! I love you Tati !!
"Somehow the concealer moved the foundation underneath." You were using an oil based concealer with a water based foundation so... that's why. Perhaps you forgot? This is something I always have to remind myself when wanting to mix new face products... :)
Tara how do you tell if a concealer is oil or water based? Legit asking, I did not know this was a thing. When I think about it it seems super obvious tho 🤦🏼♀️😊
Hey Tati! I thought this was an okay review, but I really think you should invest in a lens that lets you reaaally zoom in extra close. I don't mean to be repetitive of everyone else in the comments, but this is something that happens often. We really cannot understand the problems of blotchiness and bad blendability, etc. because we simply cannot see how it sits on your skin up close, as you see it in person. I think it would be much more helpful for your viewers in terms of reviews like this. :)
I don't think Burt's Bees is really meant for someone who wants a "fully-done" or "glam" look. If you're new to makeup, you don't wear much, or you like a very natural look, I think these products would be great. ETA: Tati says this same thing like 20 seconds after I typed this comment :D :D
Right - so please see the other 2/3 of my comment which were "don't wear much or like a natural look". The point is, and Tati said this herself - she's NOT into a natural low-key look which this line provides - but someone else might be.
I think this dewy skin "natural" look suits her really well. I can imagine this line would sell pretty well in Asia were the dewy skin natural look and simple lip is really popular
animeducky9 i.agree but im already.crying at the price. A burtsbees lipbalm is like 4 times more expensive, so i can only imagine how much the foundatoon would be
I love your reviews and all but could you please considering start zooming in so we can really see what you're talking about? Can't 100% trust a review where I can't see how the product really works and if it maybe would work for me or naht.
I’ve been watching Tati for almost a year now and I never thought I would trust a UA-camr so much. She tries her hardest every.single.time. She works soooo hard to bring us informative and professional content that is also entertaining. Tati you can’t make everyone happy, but please keep on doing you girl because so many of us only have love to give. That being said, all the people in the comments who didn’t like something but gave constructive criticism you rock. Everyone else who has nothing but hate to share please consider finding a positive way to share concerns. Negativity brings everyone down. LOVE YOU TATI ❤️❤️❤️
Tarte B.B. tinted moisturizer! I LIVE for minimal “your skin but better” makeup after having my son. I want to try Burt’s Bees lip color (I love the balms) so idk, but that’s my two cents! Keep rocking your style!
I think it would have been more beneficial to not have mixed brands for this specific video. I think the concept behind BB's makeup is light, natural, and they dont manufacture their makeup with glamour in mind-- its more of a focus on more wholesome, skin- healthy makeup
That issue exacerbated the problems, but the burts bees makeup is not very good to begin with it. There are brands that are natural, that have way better quality.
Yeah I don't understand why she doesn't look at the ingredients and pick the appropriate primer. This has been pointed out to her before so I don't know why she refuses to check this one little important factor. Its a huge duh moment.
the reason Burt's bees is so expensive is BECAUSE it's so natural; organic, vegetarian, and all-natural products are, 85% of the time, WAY more expensive than products that aren't. those kinds of things are very high value off the bat, but when they start treating it, adding any kinds of things to it, it depreciates the value. they're better for you, but more expensive.
Rebecca Villasenor I'll stick to my normal tarte I like better for price sale ulta had 12$ gel hybrid is awesome but that was a 1 day sale! ordered 2 lol
Yeah. There’s a brand that is called 100% pure , that has $48 foundation. It’s completely clean but you have to pay for clean products. It’s the only foundation that doesn’t break me out 😬
OMG YOU LOOKED AMAZING AT THE END OF THE DAY. Idk if it's just me that likes a dewy radiant look but woman! You were just glowing and it looked so natural and beautiful and not blotchy or messy at all!!!
I work in a Beauty dept at a grocery store here in Texas (HEB GROCERY) and as Beauty mgrs we get sent to training on all the lines and what products are coming out. The Burt’s Bees Reps told us there makeup is geared for those moms on the go who want to wear makeup but don’t have a lot of time, no makeup makeup looks. Maybe try using it again and do a no makeup makeup look and see if it works out better that way. LOVE YOUR VIDEOS BYW TATI- GLAMLIFEGURU 💜 showing ya love all the from 🇨🇱
Yeah most gurus that have been doing videos for awhile do there tutorials really up close and personal(most have invested in lens that are specially for extreme close ups), especially the ones that do more subtle makeup. It’s one thing that actually frustrates me about tati’a videos.
Please start zooming in on your videos to actually see what's going on your face please I love your videos so much but I can never see what your talking about because I don't get to see close ups 💖💕
Lethe Babe I love her videos too but it would be nice to see the “dry patches” or where it’s “not blended” because she always critiques but I can’t even make out what’s she’s critiquing!!
Will you zoom in a little at the end. When the camera is far away (or at its normal zoom) I can't see when you say something is bad (or good). I would like to see, so I understand what you're talking about.
It is hard to judge your brows and foundation bcuz your camera is never close enuff to see anything. Im not sure why you rarely zoom in bcuz your skin is absolutely flawless. Good review though. I think their products r smelly like hemp and menthol.
i think the makeup looks really pretty honestly like way more natural than your usual look and it's really cute like it actually makes you look much younger :) xx
Layla Mae I agree with you 100%! I understand she is makeup blogger but going “Full glam” once your over thirty does the opposite of what it’s supposed to do. ( I am a licensed makeup artist) She looked phenomenal with these products! They did exactly what they were supposed to do. She didn’t do this line justice in this video.
Just a suggestion, why don't you review the product based on what its intentions are.. for example, this line is designed for people who like a "no make-up, make-up look" or a "natural" make up look, so I wouldn't try to achieve a full coverage full glam look using these types of products, then judge it on that when that's not the lines intentions in the first place. idk if that made sense but I hope my suggestion is helpful regardless! Xx
Right? Every time she does a foundation review and starts saying how "blotchy" it is am just here like I wished I could see, isn't that the whole point of a review in order for us to see if we want to purchase it ?
Yeah great lighting tends to hide a lot when you're trying to see details.... Thataylaa does a good job at showing off the close-ups in foundation reviews that a lot of people aren't comfortable with doing.
What you will see in comments below. "I dont like that you didn't zoom in" "Stop being dramtic" "Not everything is full coverage" "Its natural make up tati, jeez" "you used silcone on top of an oil/water based foundation of course it wont work" "As high of a beauty guru as you are you shouldn't just review things for only you and what you like" You're welcome.
I love you Tati but I think you had expectations that simply don’t match what the product is meant to do. Also you should zoom us in because I couldn’t see anything you were saying 😐
Puka literally is the sweetest little boy, that darn face kills me!! Precious... I respect your honesty, mission, and dedication so fiercely. Thanks for what you do, you're a class act. Stunning!!
Kathleen Lights loves the Burt’s Bees blush that’s more bronze/cinnamon color. It might be called toasted cinnamon actually lol. But Kat swears by that blush, wears it often in videos & it comes across warm yet soft & beautiful. I’m going to get myself this blush after the holidays & I never wear blush. EVER.
It is very clear: this is not for Tati. However, after watching this video, i'm definitely going to pick up some of those products because I love light makeup for my every day! I think these products would be excellent for 1) someone who likes minimal makeup regularly, 2) someone who prefers makeup as skincare, or 3) someone who is just starting out with makeup. I'm not upset with Tati for her review; she's not the demographic of customer who would like these products, that's all :)
Yes i know but that goes for almost anything, I always understand what she means when she says it doesn't blend, it moves around and so on but frankly you can't see any difference between the look xD but it's difficult to catch it with a camera... so I guess we have to trust tati 😂😂
Maike K That’s because she uses the beauty-filter that fills in your pores and makes your skin look overly smooth. I think she should stop using it so we could actually see the result :/
You look so much younger and more beautiful with that light type of makeup, at least for every day *.* like I could paint portraits from you in this video as a goddess or something
I love the idea of Burt’s bees makeup because it’s so natural and I’ve always wanted really good natural makeup but can never find any. In my mind this makeup is really good, it’s just going for a “natural” look and the only reason Tati didn’t like it was because she uses a more “glam” makeup. I feel like people who like just a simple natural makeup (like me) would really like it. Also I feel like there’s a good price because this foundation is $17 and the foundation I use daily (MAC) is $29 so that’s a good price.
Kinzey No last name In my comment I stated that there were other companies who make good makeup without harmful ingredients and they perform well. You don't have to spend on makeup like this which isn't the best quality when there other options that will satisfy your needs.
Though it is true that Tati uses a lot of high end makeup she also loves drugstore and has a lot of experience with many different brands. The reason this line might not work for her is because other brands aren't as natural with their ingredients, whether high end or drugstore. The ingredients in these simply aren't what she is used to, but for people who maybe don't wear as much makeup or want very natural looks, this line may work better for them since they won't be used to other harsher makeup ingredients.
It’s actually a really great brand! It’s all I’ve been wearing lately because I saw Mia Maples do a full face of Burt’s bees. Random strangers have actually complimented me since I’ve started wearing it. It feels nice and looks so natural 🙌🏼
This product definitely seems like its for women that are are into not wearing makeup and just want a little boost. And definitely something for high school girls. Theyre not trying to hide much and simply want a clearer complexion and hints of color. However would have to say the eyeshadow palette is a little expensive for the lack of pigment without technique. Thankfully you said it does last all day tho!
Honestly Tati you are not dramatic. You have high standard and if something doesn't work you tell it like it is cuz we can easily go to the drugstore and pick up 10 other products that are far better and cheaper. If you don't like her being "dramatic" then don't watch ffs it's not that hard. She ain't gonna change for you.
She looks so youthful and pretty here. This makeup line is beautiful, there are girls like myself that prefer to generally wear a natural make up look for everyday use.
The Burt's Bee satin lips are fully pigmented lipsticks and a wonderful formula they came out over a year ago, the glossy lips are meant to be sheer and are new to the line. So they do have fully pigmented lipsticks.
I´m sorry but this time I don´t agree with her. Burts Bees is not made for profesional make up or the style of make up that she is use to. It´s a natural line, and it´s logical that it doesn´t look like other lines full with chemicals that make your face look so perfect like in a magazine. I think she should have consider that at the moment of the review.
Dinka Piromalli Girado I would agree. Burts is more for people who like a very natural look. Tati is full glam 24/7, uses a ton of products on a daily basis.
Dinka Piromalli Girado but just because you don’t want scarier chemicals and want more naturals, doesn’t mean you don’t want to be glam/full makeup. 🤷🏻♀️
I think she mentioned that those products would be suited more for people who would like a more effortless and natural look. She said that some will love it but it's just not her kind of style.
Emi_lou -_- When a foundation claims full coverage... it should be full coverage. I bought this too and it’s garbage, made my skin look dry and gross and it just melted off after a couple hours.
I know it’s something my mom would have put me in. My first colored lip balm wasn’t lip smackers it was some all natural strawberry lip balm I think call All Naturals or something..lol she was so nervous for all the cray things they put in lipgloss lol. A year later I was wearing anything from the dollar store to Walmart lol
Isis well not really?... what we're saying is she's not testing the products the way they're intended. It's kind of like taking a lipstick to her eyelid and complaining that it didn't work?..
Hi ladies, actually it’s been proven that using anti aging skin care TOO early has a negative effect long term. Preventive skin care is better suited for younger skin care. Do some research on this to get a better understanding of this as I have been recently learning about this. 💕💕
Alexandria Buzzard and you should just because it is preventative, it will definitely help you in the future just stay away from chemical peels and try to opt for more physical exfoliants to buff away dead skin. Save chemical and expensive treatments like peels or acids for Waaaaay later in life 👍
Burt's bees makeup is supposed to be natural. They do have a concealer, a bronzer, and a highlighter. Also its expensive because its natural which is better for your skin.
I respect that this makeup doesn't match your personal makeup style but you were being a little dramatic. It felt like you were almost uninformed about the products and had let down expectations about the finished look- when in reality everything from the line is supposed to be subtle.
Wait why is Tati so surprised that more natural products are more expensive? Natural is usually always more expensive than synthetic or less natural products.
GabbyGaming natural products have synthetic ingredients in them. the world natural is used the same way as “pretty” for makeup companies. it’s not like organic and doesn’t have guidelines so it literally means anything they want.
What company uses pretty in their makeup descriptions? For Burt's Bees, they state that they are almost 98-99% natural, and on their website, they explain what kinds of non-natural ingredients they use if needed. If this is true, it is likely to be more expensive because of some of their ingredients. Ingredients of higher quality are usually more costly. I'm not saying that all products marketed as natural are 100% natural, but they are more likely to have more natural ingredients than synthetic or chemical ones. Consumers just need to check the labels to see for themselves.
Hey Tati❤️ Why don't you ask James if he can do like a "last minute gift guide for men" or something similar? I know he didn't like to film that video alone but I really enjoyed it and I think everyboby did! Hope you read this, love from Italy 😘😘😘🇮🇹
Candace Taylor all powders are matifying, that is the point. I have very dry skin and like everyone else with dry patches they use powder on the t zone to SET the make up, if other powders don’t accentuate dry patches (which they don’t) then why should this one.
Livvy Hall fr same sometimes i just skip out on powder. I usually just put the TINNIEST bit under my eyes. If i put powder on my skin it looks dry and feels nasty.
I liked this review not sure why so many people are angry with it. You have your opinion on how you liked it. Are people really expecting you to give an opinion that’s not your own?
I am not saying this to be a jerk, but the whole purpose of this line is "natural" so that is prob. why things are not working the way you expect, everything they make is supposed to have a natural look, and is made with natural products...
The foundation is absolutely terrible. It would be worth the $17 if it was a good foundation, but it isn't. The only good thing about it is the smell. Also, just because something is "natural" doesn't automatically mean it's good.
I thought the same thing before I even started watching the video. It seems like here lately if it's not a high end product she doesn't like it. Burts Bees makeup is for people who want a natural look and she's always saying how high maintenance she is so I knew she wouldn't like it.
She’s doing it because people requested it, just like when she reviewed LUSH makeup (didn’t work well then either) she’s always going to be judging and reviewing products by her standard, which may be high, but they are just her opinion, she has said many time to take everything with a grain of salt because what didn’t work for her might work for other people (either due to skin type or taste/preference)
I thought the same but only cause there isn’t a lot of stuff that I have bought from them that actually works for me. I once bought a rose colored chapstick that was supposed to mimic a light lipstick...and it was awful. It had glitter in it and it felt super gritty on my lips.
Actually Tati has reviewed TONS of Drugstore makeup this year. If it works for her she gives it a thumbs up. The burts bees is very light and might be good if you are hiking or playing sports. Tati absolutely LOVES the J. Cat $5.99 eye shadows which are available at Ulta which she did a video of a few months ago.
The price point makes sense to me. Natural products are generally more expensive and Burt's Bees stays true to that. They are not overly expensive. I buy their tinted lip balm and LOVE IT. Gives a little bit of color and a lot of hydration. With that being said, the other products don't interest me but I find that their price point is accurate to their previous products as well as them being natural.
Alyssa MacDonald have you happened to try the lipsticks? I liked Dahlia (I believe that’s the tinted balm you mentioned, but a specific shade). I’m the same way with Burt’s Bees. Their balms are my absolute go to, so I’m tempted by the lipstick enough to give it a passing thought but nothing more...
Actually that's just a middle man mark up. The actual cost of creating natural makeup is super low because factories don't have to outsource the ingredients in those products which reduces transportation costs
SLS is Sodium Lauryl Sulphate and it's literally in everything: Toothpaste, skin care, soaps, shampoos, make-up etc. EVERYTHING. and it's a real contributor and agitator for acne.
It's an industrial grade cleaner. The issue with it is that it strips all natural oils, dries skin and hair and strips dye from hair. It's super annoying because all LUSH shampoo has sodium lauryl sulphate so it's actually really drying... Sodium LaurETH sulphate is okay though, as it's much gentler.
Gwyneth Campbell - yes! The only problem is we don’t know yet the long term effects of any sulfates, and even most ingredients used in cosmetics, which is pretty scary.
xfrancescanicolex I was literally waiting for this comment. I commented this when she asked for this review and everyone was like yes please I want natural makeup. I commented above the same thing. I know my super crunchy mamas DO NOT use Burt’s Bees
Faith Shiro cosmetics is an indie brand but their lip balms, tinted or clear, are hands down my favorite. I used to like the burts bees ones but when I switched to vegan makeup spend months trying to find something as good. Shiro did it for me, and if you’re into loose pigment eyeshadows, they have really awesome shades!
Hi Tati! I would love it you’d do a hot or not on No. 7 products from target! I feel like not a lot of people are talking about that brand, but I’ve liked the few products I’ve tried from them!
Actually the perfect natural no makeup makeup look I only wear Burt’s bees products to school because of the finish and how effortless it makes me look
I watched a documentary on Netflix how Burt was a real bee keeper and he fell in love with this lady and she pretty much took over the whole company and broke his heart and his check book. That's why I'm a little iffy trying anything out from them because I know that almost none of it goes back to Burt. Now, who knows if that's the real story or not, but it's nice to see if the products are actually good or not. I just hope that the brand is legit.
Chestnut Witch the documentary is true :/ the cofounder was money hungry and used Burt as a means to grow the business that she started used him to start. His bees, his wax, literally his name. I will and never will support the company because is a big-time sellout
LoveyRoxx Isn't it also true that he's still under a contract so he has to go around the world and promote the product even though he doesn't get much out of it? He can't even start a different brand because it would breach terms, or something?
Chestnut Witch well I know he was obligated to do promotions from the company that bought them out before he passed away, but I did hear that he had no desire to go as big as his partner wanted or to do those promotions. It’s quite sad 😕 Oh and when she sold the company, if I’m not wrong, it got bought for $300 million and she only gave him $4 million out of that
Yeah, that's the whole point of the line, you cant go in expecting products that are going to give you a glam look, with pigmented lip shades, its all supposed to be natural looking, so you have to keep that in mind
This is probably going to sound funny but that “speech” really helped me. I was told today that I wear too much makeup. I shouldn’t wear makeup and be natural. But I really love wearing it and playing with colors. I’ve felt down about it all day. Thanks for the reminder that I do what I do for me and no one else
Yea, I live in a very small town where no one really wears makeup and I leave the house almost everyday with a full face, bright eyeshadow and lips. I don't care though. I think it looks good and I like it so that's all that matters.
I like how she high key forgets what natural make up is as the video progresses, like it’s clearly light and sheer for a reason, it’s Burt’s bees she even said that in the beginning. I think it looks great for people like me who like the light “no makeup” look.
I'm 47 and just started using make up. I've tried three 3 foundations. This Burts Bees is my favorite so far. I like the dewy look I get from it. Covers redness so well. I find it better than the Nars foundation I bought for 60 bucks at Sephora.
gREAT COMMENT! I would too! I've been wanting to try her makeup products. I think you can get a plan where you pay $50 a month and they send you random makeup.
I requested this video got over 700 thumbs up, I know u did your best &u still look beautiful but I'm not impressed with this product the Brows are natural& nice, but the rest I'll pass! Thanks for your honest review Tati!💞💋👑
Yall complaining need to just watch to the end of the video, she actually did like some of the products. And remember this is HER opinion she's not the same as of you!! What works for her might not work for you and vice-versa!!!!!!!!!!
Tati I love you but I hate when people play into this whole chemophobia trend going on nowadays. Natural does NOT mean it's good (arsenic is natural and it's definitely not good for you) and synthetic doesn't mean BAD. It's just really sad that these companies are fostering this idea that science and chemistry are out to kill them when that's not the case at all.
I actually really like the blush and the lip products! Especially for an everyday look where you want to keep your lips hydrated with a splash of color!
This is not hate, just a statement. I am a makeup artist a an all natural makeup studio. 98% of the women who come in don't want instagram/ glam makeup. They want to look and feel like themselves. I think that just because it isn't full coverage heavy makeup, doesn't mean it isn't good. It's not meant for a beat face. It's meant for people who want light and natural.
miranda mcmickle it may be label for coverage, but you have understand that who it is marketed to, anything would be full coverage for them. People who wear a natural level of makeup, a drop of makeup feels like full coverage. Besides she used a silicone based primer so it's not going to be compatible with the formula of this foundation. This is something you learn in cosmetology school.
she states multiple times that it's natural, lists all the benefits and then complains that it is too natural?? where do you think all the "wow" colours in other eyeshadows come from? chemicals!!
Natural is marketing bullshit that companies pull. There's no definition for "natural" set by the FDA and no regulations around it so any company can run around and say that they're products are natural...don't listen to marketing b/s and do your own research.
Also, micas are 100% considered "natural" and are what give the sparkly/shimmer effect. These aren't that in your face simply because micas can be pricey and burt's bees wanted a higher profit margin. less micas = less pigment = less expensive to make.
Shyanne Thompson EXACTLY. Our entire bodies are made of “chemicals”. I’m tired of people throwing that word around like they even know what a chemical really is.
I don’t know why PR companies send you anything that’s not showgirl glitter. The lips are meant to be sheer. This is not for people who want to look contoured. It’s my face but better makeup.
Burt’s bees shouldn’t lie on the packaging that it’s full coverage. If I’m spending $17 on foundation that says it’s full coverage, I’m going to upset when it’s sheer!
Francesca Beaupre literally that's not even that much for a foundation if you compare it to things that Tati usually uses. Plus it's natural and for a lot of people it helps them not break out because of that
Tati, You are such a sweetie for listening to your subscribers about what to try. I was curious about this brand. This is your very first video that I have watched that I just don't like the entire look. I trust your reviews. I'm no longer curious about Burt's Bees makeup. I also wanted to tell you that I learned it prolongs the life of your makeup brushes if you don't tap them on hard surfaces. I have been trying not to tap mine on such hard surfaces. Love you. God bless. Poooooka! 💗😘
Darude Sandstorm...They might not have taken chemistry or understand that everything is composed of chemicals, I think they mean HARSH or toxic chemicals. I’m sure you know that and you just feel the need to be snide and act superior.
Could you please zoom into your face when testing out products? You said the foundation wasn't blending and the powder was dry and I would've loved to seen that! Just a bit of feedback. I do love you so much and I appreciate your videos so much (before I get any hate) xx
Ilmeet Khaneja I agree because to us viewers the foundation and powder all look nice from the distance and can’t see the patches
Yeah I can see why people are calling her over dramatic cuz we can’t see it, it looks perfect from the view we see
I agree! The beauty lights make it sooo much harder to see especially from this far away. But I love this channel too! 💜💜
Yes, please Tati!!
Ilmeet Khaneja - I thought either Tati or me were going crazy cause all her makeup looked so good! 😂
I’m never going to understand why beauty influencers don’t zoom in for their reviews. That should be outlawed for any makeup review, lol.
The Burt's bees foundation is the only one I can wear so far that doesn't make my acne worse, and for that reason, I really appreciate it
I’ve seen a bunch of commercials about a Korean makeup and skincare line called Medicube, it’s supposed to be for people with acne, oily skin and stuff like that. I personally haven’t tried it because my skin is decent and I don’t really do online shopping but maybe you could try?
you can try Perricone
Yeah I think Tati was comparing everything to her favorite high end makeup where as this makeup is more for natural, soft looks and not ones she usually wears with synthetics and other chemicals so yeah it’s not gonna be as sturdy
@@justalittlecatnui also the etude house ac clean up cushion but the shade range isnt very good
jollyroger girl I might try it because my acne is pretty bad and sometimes I want to cover up
Aw girl don't be so frustrated this makeup is just not made for you to go full glam...
But I think for makeup that is supposed to be *natural* you did great!
The thing here is that Burt’s bees makeup goes for a natural no makeup look, and since Tati is so ✨glam✨ it’s just not her thing.... but don’t hate people
It's an interesting thought to pay for something that is not noticeable
Daniela Mozzarellaaa I mean, I've actually bought the product(Burts Bees Foundation) and it's honestly quite bad. It's like it never settles and it leaves almost like edges even when blending in.
angela jakob I mean personally I like just a tint for my skin and I really like the burts bees bb cream. That is pretty noticible for me but that's just my preference
Daniela Mozzarellaaa I agree
angela jakob Personally, I like the natural makeup look on me. :)
The foundation was oil based where as the concealer (correct me if I'm wrong) is water based. That's why it separated
loxoren Come through science !!
Yes!!!! Meaning an oil based primer and concealer may have worked better with blending/layering etc. I mean it's worth a shot to have all natural makeup.
loxoren science !!! Yup
Elizabeth Mermaid yes!!
SAY THIS LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK.!!
Alicia Garcia I’m a new sub, but I just don’t understand why some ppl are so mean & nasty to Tati. She’s so pretty & very informative.
I Second this!! Love you Tati ♥️
YES YES YES
"Somehow the concealer moved the foundation underneath." You were using an oil based concealer with a water based foundation so... that's why. Perhaps you forgot? This is something I always have to remind myself when wanting to mix new face products... :)
Tara how do you tell if a concealer is oil or water based? Legit asking, I did not know this was a thing. When I think about it it seems super obvious tho 🤦🏼♀️😊
the concealer was catrice, not matching with the brand x
vmm100 burt’s bees didn’t come out with a concealer. tati used a concealer from a different brand
But people do that all the time and it doesn't move product around... I don't think I've ever used the same brand for foundtion nd concealer haha
Hannah Randolph it's not about the same brand, but the chemical makeup. Like attracts like.
huh i always thought burt bees only made chapstick
mariel ivana they never made chapstick cuz chapstick is a brand
Only recently did they come out with actual makeup. Before it was just tinted lip balms and the occasional lipstick.
They just started the line
I saw an ad on the tv and I was shook
mariel ivana same lmao
Kitty Rodriguez Very true and very well said.
The foundation did claim to be full coverage tho
I think this dewy skin "natural" look suits her really well.
I can imagine this line would sell pretty well in Asia were the dewy skin natural look and simple lip is really popular
animeducky9 i.agree but im already.crying at the price. A burtsbees lipbalm is like 4 times more expensive, so i can only imagine how much the foundatoon would be
animeducky9 agree also shimmery eyeshadows suit Asian eyes really well so I guess the shadows weren't that bad
I agree, I actually really like how she looks. However the price on these is double the original price here 😶
animeducky9 yea and Burt’s bees is SUPER popular in asia
I remember seeing some of the lip products and balms when I was living in Japan and being shocked at how pricey they were
is it just me or does like all the makeup actually look really good?
Ikr lol
I know lol
Yeah right except the eyebrows
The light she uses makes everything look 100% nicer, but natural light is a bit more cruel and she knows
just you
I love your reviews and all but could you please considering start zooming in so we can really see what you're talking about? Can't 100% trust a review where I can't see how the product really works and if it maybe would work for me or naht.
Marina yes!!! And take off the filter too, because how are we supposed to know what it actually looks like when it looks perfect on camera :/
Agreed.
Chelsea Orion How do you know if she has a filter on?
Anika Evanson a lot of nude cameras have them on automatically a lot and most beauty gurus uses them.
The G&G Girls I have been watching her since 2015,she is the best 😍😍
Well said!
420th like ;))
Mieke G it’s lit
I love when it looks like I have no makeup on, I might have to try some of these products out😍😍
Yea I've kind of been look for a lip product like those, pink pool looks so pretty!
Tarte B.B. tinted moisturizer! I LIVE for minimal “your skin but better” makeup after having my son. I want to try Burt’s Bees lip color (I love the balms) so idk, but that’s my two cents! Keep rocking your style!
Lauren Johnson me too most of these products look so effortless beautiful 😍😍😍
on some days i like to look natural but like other days i go all out
Lauren Johnson I use the tinted chap stick. It comes off on everything but the color is subtle and lasts
I think it would have been more beneficial to not have mixed brands for this specific video. I think the concept behind BB's makeup is light, natural, and they dont manufacture their makeup with glamour in mind-- its more of a focus on more wholesome, skin- healthy makeup
The problem is the foundation claimed to be full coverage not light coverage
The foundation is water/oil based. The concealer you used is silicone based. Of course they're not going to blend well together.
Natalie Killian I used a water based primer. Still doesn't work. It's Just a terrible foundation
She mentioned the concealer being silicone based, not the primer^
Natalie Killian have you ever noticed that common sense is not that common? Lol
Rebecca Villasenor exactly!! i was kinda annoyed she kept going on about the price. here in aus i pay like $36 for a burts bees moisturiser lol
It’s the only foundation that doesn’t break me out 😬
acerchloe I use dermablend and it’s $40 and Clinique is $27 this foundation is not expensive lol
PrincessLaLa011 true. Most people are shocked when I say I spend $48 on foundation 🙃
OMG YOU LOOKED AMAZING AT THE END OF THE DAY. Idk if it's just me that likes a dewy radiant look but woman! You were just glowing and it looked so natural and beautiful and not blotchy or messy at all!!!
GIRLonMW2 totally agree
I think it's really ethereal. I dig it.
GIRLonMW2 I totally agree
Yes since this makeup suppose be quick and simple for women on the go just want something make them look alive rather than dead like me.
LOVE YOUR VIDEOS BYW TATI- GLAMLIFEGURU 💜 showing ya love all the from 🇨🇱
HEB for the win
Chile!!
I'm a Beauty Manager for HEB as well, and I have definitely not received training like that!! Which store are you at?
Michelle Munoz it was at one of the road shows.
That’s what I thought too.
“Can you guys even see that?” No Tati!! Move us closer 🤦🏻♀️
Exactly 😐
fr
*I was **_just_** thinking that! It would be way more convenient…*
really!!!!
Yeah most gurus that have been doing videos for awhile do there tutorials really up close and personal(most have invested in lens that are specially for extreme close ups), especially the ones that do more subtle makeup. It’s one thing that actually frustrates me about tati’a videos.
I actually like this more natural look on Tati. I think 3 shadows for for an eye look is nice and not too fussy, this is a perfect work look x
Amy-Victoria i agree!
Please start zooming in on your videos to actually see what's going on your face please I love your videos so much but I can never see what your talking about because I don't get to see close ups 💖💕
Lethe Babe I love her videos too but it would be nice to see the “dry patches” or where it’s “not blended” because she always critiques but I can’t even make out what’s she’s critiquing!!
be HUMBLE that's exactly what I'm saying! I totally agree with you!
I agree here, from this angle it looks like all the other videos.
It’s kind of stupid to compare natural makeup to mainstream and high end makeup.. two totally different ball parks
It’s pretty expensive for drugstore makeup
Will you zoom in a little at the end. When the camera is far away (or at its normal zoom) I can't see when you say something is bad (or good). I would like to see, so I understand what you're talking about.
It is hard to judge your brows and foundation bcuz your camera is never close enuff to see anything. Im not sure why you rarely zoom in bcuz your skin is absolutely flawless. Good review though. I think their products r smelly like hemp and menthol.
Rebecca Haines she films by herself making it a little difficult to add in zoom ins unless she’s taking her vlogging camera with her
But she can just leave it zoomed it like loads of people do? Nikki is an example of that and you can actually see the product and what she's doing.
Marina then the focus isn’t guaranteed to be on her face the whole time
her camera doesnt have a zoom feature so she has to move the actual camera, which she cant do alone and has shown needing james for
Maybe it is the lighting or whatever but I think she looks beautiful. I like the natural makeup look on her.
TC agree.
TC same. Especially the brows?
absolutely! also WHO ELSE IS LIVIVING FOR THAT SNOW WHITE GOLD MIRROR?!?! I mean really it's amazing. Going on my wish list.
The brows were beautiful in this video !
i think the makeup looks really pretty honestly like way more natural than your usual look and it's really cute like it actually makes you look much younger :) xx
Xx
The foundation said it was full coverage - hardly a "no make-up" foundation.
Thats fine, but the line is all natural. You would typically create an all natural look with it
Alanna Hembrow and you can still have something cover up imperfections but look skin like and barely there at the same time...
Completely agree.
Some foundations can be natural but can also be built up for a fuller coverage. It's nice to see which foundations can layer nicely.
I wish she'd zoom in coz we can't really see how the foundation looks and looks like there's a smoothing filter on
It may depend on the camera she used because some cameras automatically do that
I agree she doesn't zoom in how can we tell. ?? 📹🔎
She doesn’t even use a smoothing filter and she’s said that 1,000 times.
What you will see in comments below.
"I dont like that you didn't zoom in"
"Stop being dramtic"
"Not everything is full coverage"
"Its natural make up tati, jeez"
"you used silcone on top of an oil/water based foundation of course it wont work"
"As high of a beauty guru as you are you shouldn't just review things for only you and what you like"
You're welcome.
Ha! So true.
This is spot on 😂
😂😂 right!
lol so true
Hahaha!!!
I love you Tati but I think you had expectations that simply don’t match what the product is meant to do. Also you should zoom us in because I couldn’t see anything you were saying 😐
Camila Cruz yessssss
she never zooms in
I’m sorry to say, but, she really got under my skin in this video. She looks great!
Camila Cruz i
Camila Cruz 100% agree on the zoom request!!
Tati I love you but I wish you would zoom in more because I can’t really see powdered products being applied and it makes me sad ☹️
Puka literally is the sweetest little boy, that darn face kills me!! Precious...
I respect your honesty, mission, and dedication so fiercely. Thanks for what you do, you're a class act. Stunning!!
" DO YOU GUYS SEE THAT?" Girl I can't see anything if you don't ZOOM IN!
Tbh no matter what you use for ur brows they always look the same to me 😂
Britney Pellouchoud same ahahaha
Yeah her eyebrows always look so nicely done :)
Britney Pellouchoud her brows are overly plucked lol
But if it’s $17 and it doesn’t sit well on the skin, it moves around, and there are other natural drugstore options, why purchase it?
Carlo Mendoza because it doesn’t have harmful ingredients like its superior counterparts
Tati, I've never seen your skin look better. I really like a more natural base on you!
Why do I relate to 98.9% natural
I couldn't see the flaws in the product cause your lighting is really bright. Like giving you a beauty filter effect.
Thanks Tati I’ve been wondering about these products. You look beautiful as always 💕
Waiting patiently for Tati to create a makeup brand like 🤔🤔 please😍❤️
Dinka Piromalli Girado I was just thinking that. Hurts bees is all about more natural makeup instead of Instagram 'model' makeup
I actually love this natural look on you. You could make trash look amazing! Another great video!💙
I find it funny that she said she would go for a natural look then complained about the subtle look of the makeup
ELC 123 She expected to paint a new face with these products. None of these products are fake as the ones she uses. She likes fake looking makeup.
She does clown makeup with 10 different layers
Emi_lou -_- When a foundation claims full coverage... it should be full coverage. I bought this too and it’s garbage, made my skin look dry and gross and it just melted off after a couple hours.
Emi_lou -_- it claimed to be full coverage so
+Emi_lou -_-
Lmao true.
Might be a good line for a young girl getting into makeup since it’s very natural looking.
That's a great idea
risalyn0904 100 percent agree and was thinking the same thing throughtout all of her comments bahaha
You’re trying to get a glam look out of products that are meant to appear natural.
Taylor Lyric I completely agree. Plus if you mix an oil base and water base it isn’t going to set right. I love the line personally
Tatis just testing the products how she tests all products, It would be unfair of her to test it any differently.
Isis well not really?... what we're saying is she's not testing the products the way they're intended. It's kind of like taking a lipstick to her eyelid and complaining that it didn't work?..
Well not èveryone likes the natural look so it's good to know if you are one of those people it won't work for you personally and that's fine
Taylor Lyric I
You’re the reason why I take skin care so serious at age 18.
I started eye cream at the age of 11😂 that’s why my eyes doesn’t have lines and concealer doesn’t crease😁
Kelly Leung what is your favorite eye cream
you won't regret it when you're in your 40's and still looking 21 💁
The foundation claimed to be full coverage
Kenzie Later and it was
Catherine Guillot nah
Your face makeup looks really good at the end of the video! How cute is Puka!!!! Great video Tati :D:D
I actually loved the eyeshadow look
Mina F same
Mina F me too!
Mina F Fr tho she makes everything look good
Mina F same!
Me too. The whole eye look was really pretty like girl next door look.
I’ve been waiting for this ahhhh I’m so excited 😆 love you Tati
So was i
I respect that this makeup doesn't match your personal makeup style but you were being a little dramatic. It felt like you were almost uninformed about the products and had let down expectations about the finished look- when in reality everything from the line is supposed to be subtle.
The foundation claimed to be full coverage
Puka is soooo freaking cuuuuute omg ♥️♥️♥️💖
Hey Tati❤️ Why don't you ask James if he can do like a "last minute gift guide for men" or something similar? I know he didn't like to film that video alone but I really enjoyed it and I think everyboby did! Hope you read this, love from Italy 😘😘😘🇮🇹
Elena Togliatti hey I’m moving to Italy in three weeks!!
Tati.. the powder says matifying. If you have dry patches of course it’s going to show up.
Candace Taylor all powders are matifying, that is the point. I have very dry skin and like everyone else with dry patches they use powder on the t zone to SET the make up, if other powders don’t accentuate dry patches (which they don’t) then why should this one.
well if a powder is causing dry patches to break through it probably isn't the best powder
Hey Tati, can you please do a video about your favorite face masks??? 💕💕💕
I am not saying this to be a jerk, but the whole purpose of this line is "natural" so that is prob. why things are not working the way you expect, everything they make is supposed to have a natural look, and is made with natural products...
Just Me ty ty ty ty ty
OMG you are so right
The foundation is absolutely terrible. It would be worth the $17 if it was a good foundation, but it isn't. The only good thing about it is the smell.
Also, just because something is "natural" doesn't automatically mean it's good.
NicoleLina 13 definitely agree with you on that one
I completely agree with you, I am not a fan of anything but their lip balm, :)
I hate my makeup...- Tati
SHE LOOKS SO GORGEOUS. Babe, you look amazing. Even if you didn't love it, you look beautiful.
We all knew Tati wasn’t going to like Burt’s Bees make up.
Nothing against Tati, nothing against the brand, just knew it wouldn’t be a fav for her.
I didn't think about that part of it.
Actually that's just a middle man mark up. The actual cost of creating natural makeup is super low because factories don't have to outsource the ingredients in those products which reduces transportation costs
Brooke Poeschl I have not tried them! I've only used their balms and face wipes but I've been interested in their lipsticks
For me it causes a rash that looks like acne, but as my dermatologist said... It's not acne. It's itchy and extremely painful.
Yup, my godfather gets a reaction from it. If it's in a product, his tongue BURNS (smelling, ingesting..) It sucks.
It's known to be an irritant (make you itchy and dry)
Gwyneth Campbell - yes! The only problem is we don’t know yet the long term effects of any sulfates, and even most ingredients used in cosmetics, which is pretty scary.
It may be located at the drugstore, but honey that foundation is $17. My version of drugstore is $3-$10
Yay for natural makeup!
Chiara FYI, the term "natural" is not regulated at all. Literally any brand can use it. It doesn't need to teach any guidelines at all.
That said,
As an observer, I knew they would price like that/ high before even hearing it
not shocked at all
Oh I had no idea
Burt's Bees is owned by Clorox, in case you care about makeup that is marketed as natural but also benefits a company that pollutes like crazy.
xfrancescanicolex I was literally waiting for this comment. I commented this when she asked for this review and everyone was like yes please I want natural makeup. I commented above the same thing. I know my super crunchy mamas DO NOT use Burt’s Bees
Good to know. Thank you.
Loving this comment.
Damn that sucks. I won't being buying any of their makeup in but I can't part with their line of Chapsticks until I can upgrade
Actually the perfect natural no makeup makeup look
I only wear Burt’s bees products to school because of the finish and how effortless it makes me look
PSA the term all natural has no guidelines or restrictions, any product can be dubbed all natural even if it isn’t. Buyer beware.
Same thing with organic!
Chestnut Witch I thought he passed away in 2015/16
Chestnut Witch well I know he was obligated to do promotions from the company that bought them out before he passed away, but I did hear that he had no desire to go as big as his partner wanted or to do those promotions. It’s quite sad 😕
Oh and when she sold the company, if I’m not wrong, it got bought for $300 million and she only gave him $4 million out of that
Oh no! I didn't know that he passed away! That's so sad. I hope he found peace.
I am IN LOVE with the liquid camouflage concealer and it's only €3.50 here in Ireland and I can't stop using it thank you so much! ❤️
Rebecca Frangipane I’m going in search of it tomorrow, lol 😂
Rebecca Frangipane where did you get it, is it in penneys?
Oh nevermind thats actually the one I use hahahahahhahahaha
Can we just talk about your profile pic? I’m in love 😍😂😂
2,95€ in Germany ☺️
Chloe Mead then go buy it lol
I already have a lot of the Burt's Bees make up, that's why I said I think it looks great for people like me who like the light look...
The foundation is supposed to be full coverage, though.
i love it
Tati: ugh I hate this make up it looks so gross
Also Tati: still looks like a goddess in the flesh
I'm 47 and just started using make up. I've tried three 3 foundations. This Burts Bees is my favorite so far. I like the dewy look I get from it. Covers redness so well. I find it better than the Nars foundation I bought for 60 bucks at Sephora.
You look so pretty Tati! I would love to see a full face of Honest beauty. Sending love your way💕
Cecilia Galindo Garza I think she’s already made an honest beauty video!
Thank you, I just watched it ❤️
gREAT COMMENT!
Bella Marcella 👏👏
It's because she tried to get a full glam look and it's supposed to be a natural finish.
I actually thought you looked great 😅 but I am a more natural makeup kind of person usually. To the point that I rarely wear actual foundation at all
Yea same here, I thought she looked super cute but I lean more towards natural as well.
Yall complaining need to just watch to the end of the video, she actually did like some of the products. And remember this is HER opinion she's not the same as of you!! What works for her might not work for you and vice-versa!!!!!!!!!!
I just want to know why she never gives close ups of her face. When she explains that it doesn't look good, only she can see that, we can't.
Crash bandicoot...didn’t know you were a fan of Tati..........
exactly
Tati I love you but I hate when people play into this whole chemophobia trend going on nowadays. Natural does NOT mean it's good (arsenic is natural and it's definitely not good for you) and synthetic doesn't mean BAD. It's just really sad that these companies are fostering this idea that science and chemistry are out to kill them when that's not the case at all.
TheConfusedFerret 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Exactly... If a company mentioned a name of the chemical compound in a plant that they're using as an ingredient, it would scare people. 😂
Yes. BUT have you tried Arsenic perfume from Tokyo Milk because that is amazing! 😁
Yeah and the term natural also doesn’t mean anything, people are adding their own meaning to it, but it has no legal value.
kay0lindsey huh?
I actually really like the blush and the lip products! Especially for an everyday look where you want to keep your lips hydrated with a splash of color!
The eyeshadow/liner look actually looks good!!!
Oooo Tati the middle school boys are drooling(the shoulder).
My husband is actually like that 😂
It is "distracting"
This is not hate, just a statement. I am a makeup artist a an all natural makeup studio. 98% of the women who come in don't want instagram/ glam makeup. They want to look and feel like themselves. I think that just because it isn't full coverage heavy makeup, doesn't mean it isn't good. It's not meant for a beat face. It's meant for people who want light and natural.
Larrissa Spears the foundation was full coverage
The eyeshadow can be natural and give off more color pay off! Rachloves did a review this week and she had no color from the eyeshadow
miranda mcmickle it may be label for coverage, but you have understand that who it is marketed to, anything would be full coverage for them. People who wear a natural level of makeup, a drop of makeup feels like full coverage. Besides she used a silicone based primer so it's not going to be compatible with the formula of this foundation. This is something you learn in cosmetology school.
Jamey Fisher I have the shadows and they work just fine for me. I am also much more darker complexion than she is.
she states multiple times that it's natural, lists all the benefits and then complains that it is too natural?? where do you think all the "wow" colours in other eyeshadows come from? chemicals!!
Natural is marketing bullshit that companies pull. There's no definition for "natural" set by the FDA and no regulations around it so any company can run around and say that they're products are natural...don't listen to marketing b/s and do your own research.
Shyanne Thompson are you serious 😂
Also, micas are 100% considered "natural" and are what give the sparkly/shimmer effect. These aren't that in your face simply because micas can be pricey and burt's bees wanted a higher profit margin. less micas = less pigment = less expensive to make.
1stepcl0ser, what are you confused about? She's right.
So many people talk about "chemicals" and don't even know the definition...
It’s my face but better makeup.
eatedi Was the foundation is full coverage lol
like don’t market something full coverage and make it sheer
Burt’s bees shouldn’t lie on the packaging that it’s full coverage. If I’m spending $17 on foundation that says it’s full coverage, I’m going to upset when it’s sheer!
She literally says that
Francesca Beaupre literally that's not even that much for a foundation if you compare it to things that Tati usually uses. Plus it's natural and for a lot of people it helps them not break out because of that
Tati!! I think it looks gorgeous on you!! Love the natural look on you as well...I love Burt’s bee!! I love natural products...♥️♥️
Tati I love you but you are NOT Burt’s Bee’s target consumer 😂😂😂
Brenna McGill 😂😂😂
Why'd they send this to her then. God.
Fareeha Syeda bc she’s a beauty blogger?
1stepcl0ser no because she prefers a full glam look rather than a natural look
Kayla if you look at Fareeha Syedas comment you will see that they were responding to that comment not brennas
Oh my god!!! Puka takes my heart❤️❤️❤️
Love you. God bless.
Poooooka! 💗😘
for me the products are good because they are 99% chemical free.
Albita75 everything is made up of chemicals...
Darude Sandstorm lol uh no it isn't.
bobi ll Yes, you are made up of chemicals too. Everything is.
Darude Sandstorm...They might not have taken chemistry or understand that everything is composed of chemicals, I think they mean HARSH or toxic chemicals. I’m sure you know that and you just feel the need to be snide and act superior.
Albita75 Yeah and also it's really natural and pretty. Or at least for me
