I agree. Kanae is lovely. Her personality is just lovely too. A good match for you.
I can't stop watching your videos. It's Saturday in New Zealand. Kanae is beautiful!
I think she’s beautiful too 👩🏻💕 Thank you Lyn!
Kanae has such a beautiful smile!
Kanae is a wonderful companion to your live streams! Love your videos!!!!!!!!!!!
She’s getting really good at it and having fun!

Great video! Fantastic adventure
Hey John and Kanae,. Nice Couple in Japan. God bless you always. Love from Bangladesh
I just returned from Tokyo to visit my new grandson!!! I am nisei and my son married a beautiful Japanese girl. We visited Izu and Shabuton Zoo where she would go as a child. Not many tourist go there.
Just returned from a 2.5 week trip to Japan - this was the first time we booked a day tour (by bus) it was operated by Yokoso Tours but Klook is another good site - both offered seasonal fruit picking and an ‘all you can eat meal’ for us it was Yakiniku which was fun for my son - I don’t eat meat and there were some vegetarian options - it was nice to ave that experience with people on the bus.
Excellent! Fruit picking is something g unique, get away from the city - the the fruit is amazing! Glad you had a great time! 🍎
Now that is an interesting idea mmmm not going to tourist traps I think I'll try that when I come to Japan someday thank you for showing this to us John and Kani
Yay I'm from Guam. I'm happy your in law liked Guam.
Oh my goodness! The bubbles!!!! They have them here in Florida! Usually at water parks. I'd definitely be in for watching John and Kanae in the bubble!!!!!!
Iseshi - Ise Jingu area in November is beautiful and mostly Japanese visitors. I highly recommend it.
We were there in April this year, it was beautiful.
Woo, this was an interesting video from the locals' point of view!
The stream quality was top-notch btw~
We're back may Tokyo 1 week and 1 week in Hokkaido!!
Hey when u guys coming to Sydney stay guys!!! 😟
Got a notification to watch this about 2:00 am guess what? I watched it. So cool to watch these live streams and learn something new.🇯🇵🌸🇯🇵🌸☕️
Thank you Moe! So glad you could catch us midday here in Tokyo ☀️
ONLY in JAPAN * GO Ya!! Enjoy that coffee you and Kanae 😊
I plan on coming to Japan for vacation and job hunting. Your vids have helped with that. I think the fact I can speak 6 languages and will help with my industry.
Definitely! That’s a huge asset of course! Any degree of Japanese and cultural understanding would seal the deal 🤝
I’m going to Niigata in October:)
Two spots near Osaka are Minoh in the North for Autumn colour and Uji near Kyoto.
Sorry I missed the livestream! I highly recommend the Kani Matsuri in Nemuro, on the easternmost point of Hokkaido. The area's amazing crab, Hanasaki Kani, is featured everywhere. It's held the first weekend of September, which can be hot. We've attended and it was great. The other time to visit Nemuro is overnight on New Year's eve, when thousands of people go to Nosappu on the peninsula at Nemuro -- it's the first place in Japan to see the dawn of the new year.
Gil Asakawa memory is really high on my list! I may not make it this year but next year is super possible 🦀
@@onlyinjapanGO Nemuro is also where the kaiten sushi chain Hana Maru was started. Amazing sushi in Nemuro, where the ikura was caught (? gathered?) that morning, and the salmon is super fresh. Warning, though: Not a lot of great hotels available -- East Harbour Hotel has always been our go-to, nice modern, western style.
Gil Asakawa thank you! I have a contact at Hokkaido tourism office in Tokyo and will ping her and see if they can help me. I want to do it right and get a great story!!
@@onlyinjapanGO Cool! I've been to Nemuro a few times because it's my mom's hometown and we always went there when we traveled to Japan. It's a small city, not often featured. Gojira destroyed it in "Godzilla 2000," which we thought was funny. A definite restaurant recommendation: Dorian, a family-owned cafe that serves a terrific Escalope, a Frenchified variant of Tonkatsu (different sauce).
osaka is nice
I recommend the Nagano side of Yatsugatake (Tateshina). Hardly any overseas tourists yet and tons of places to stay. Hiking, local cuisine galore.
Kanae looks good in baseball cap, a new look!
I hope you do more evening/night live streams
A midnight snack run is imminent!!
Have been seeing Japanese tour groups at the airport at work, so Japanese coming to nz's winter, that is also a way to escape Japanese summer heat.
John, please bring Kanae to Yatsuo, Toyama and do a livestream there. Onegaishimasu!
I and my late wife had had 3 children 6 grandchildren 4 great grandchildren i would have had such a nice sweet girl kanae as my daughter or granddaughter she could have read me bedtime storys
Hey John and Kanae, my parents wanted to go to Japan through tour packages, but I noticed some of the packages that go to the usual popular tourist locations seem to stop at a Jewellery store in Nagano. I've been on tours in some other countries where they would try to "force" people in the tour group to buy enough before moving onto the next destination. Should I be worried about this in Japan?
I’ve never heard of a company tour in Japan by HIS or JTB (sanctioned by JNTO) that required people to stop at a store. That does happen in a lot of Asian countries but never heard of that in Japan. A companies reputation is more important than a few yen in kickbacks and commissions. Perhaps it’s changed? But it depends on the cost of the tour. Perhaps a super cheap tour is paid for by ads, commissions and kickbacks. I’d pay for a repeatable company if you can.
@@onlyinjapanGO Thanks for the info! (On a somewhat related note, there is a Japan Festival going on near Toronto, Canada this weekend....and luckily enough, JNTO has an info booth!)
How come two videos? One is shut down??
You and your wife make a lovely couple.
John. I was watching some of your older video's and came across your wedding day. 1. Kanae, You are an absolute "Beautiful Bride" ! 2. John, you are a very lucky man to have married Kanae ! 3. I wish you and Kanae a happy and long loving journey through life.........Rick. Pittsburgh, PA.................I hope I did not misspell "Kanae"
It's definitely cheaper in Japan than in Singapore.
Coming to Japan next week. Will be in Hakone too. Is it safe to go, as you mentioned a volcano?
Introve82 you’ll be safe. The warning level is always set at the lowest level. Sometimes the steam vents get active and they close that area (jigokudani). But there’s plenty more to see there. If you can swing by Atami I highly recommend it.
Greg Helton Thanks Greg! 👍🏽😊
Introve82 you’re welcome. Jikokudani is worth seeing so check conditions before heading out there.
Greg Helton Thanks for the suggestion. I’m there just under 2 days and have the Hakone Freepass. So I’ll see how far I’m able to go. 👍🏽
Introve82 enjoy the two days. I lived there for 18 years and missed most of Japan. You’ll get a small flavor of Japan!
What about Singapore? I hear they're a clean nation.
Why is Yamanashi called Yamanashi when it's obviously NOT yamanashi? 😁 Okinawa?? Hmm.. Wouldn't it be pretty hot in the summer?? I must admit, I like the music. Natsukawa Rimi, Yanawaraba, etc. Wouldn't it be more popular in the winter?
iskandartaib I think it stands for mountains and pears.
🤔...Giant bubbble + Hawai'i trip.
Correction on spelling: Shaboten Zoo
They go to Hawaii
Sapporo, Hokaydo
Cool video, when will you have kids?
Maybe pick up more interesting place to walk and talk? I mean this is Tokyo!
I rotate topics. I’m sure to do another “walking tour” this week but over covered many areas in Tokyo already which you can see in the playlist :)
Any suggestions on where to go next?
asians looking 4 discount its in our blood lol
Next those visitors will invade - for good.
You talked too much in this episode had to mute you sometimes and you focus the camera on yourself too much.
What do you want him to do? This channel is all about John giving us information about Japan so it is obvious that he talks a lot.
Not everything John says is interesting to me and focusing the camera on himself I equate that to someone who likes to look in the mirror at themselves, I rather see the background scenery he's talking about, just giving tough love, been watching Johns vlogs fo for quite awhile, even before he got married I like him and they're a great couple and Kanae is pretty and interesting, if u ever watch Mark Weins he doesn't present his family too much but focus his goofy face and eating expressions, so annoying, sorry John but I love most of your episodes!
Roby Geroca . Nope.
@@themontephone875?
His live streams are pretty much like vlogs... What is he supposed to show when he's answering questions from viewers or sharing advice? John showing himself makes it's feel more natural, like he's talking to us.
