A word of advice to anyone planning to purchase the In Rainbows Limited Edition, be sure you get a copy that doesn't retain the looping scratch noise that is heard on side B which goes from "All I Need" to "Faust Arp".
2 years ago when I began my record collecting adventure, I was at a local record store of mine that recently closed down and surprisingly I saw 2 sealed copies of what I recognized to be Death grips government plates on the wall, I asked the owner how much they were and he said the one was a $60 bootleg and the other was a $300 Official copy. I scoffed and thought $300 was obviously a ridiculous price at the time. What a steal I missed out on.
Have you heard about that Wu Tang album that they sold to martin shkreli? If you're talking about expensive albums you might wanna look into that (it was only released on vinyl and it's only one pressing)
I have an uncle who is a huge Radiohead fan. About four months ago, I went to his house and in the guest bedroom where I was staying, there was something big on the top shelf in the closet. It was the box set of In Rainbows. Honestly, it doesn’t surprise me that he would have the box set, as he is really a huge fan

March 2021, Boise Record Store had a $550 vinyl copy of Blonde.
I remember buying Government Plates w/ the replica for 400 dollars about three years ago. Actually went and got my first job, a summer thing, to save up the cash. People thought I was insane, and given how fixed I was on getting it I don’t blame them for saying so. But I’ve known about the album since 2017 and still love it to shreds.
Today, seeing the cheapest available copy being the double of what i got it for makes me smile in a movie villain typa way. I’m never selling this, but it’s fascinating to think that what people thought was a “scalping” price back then could be seen as a steal now.
Holy shit, 1.5k likes 0 dislikes. That's the first I'm seeing that. Nice content, hope you get recognized more :]
i would love to see a physical music collection video
I would also add Bathory's self-titled 1984 record with the yellow goat on the front.
Waited in line for and bought my Government Plates vinyl in 2014 when I was 15. It will never leave my possession
still PRAYING Frank re-releases Blonde on vinyl just one day. i will cop it instantly if he does
Is that the fusion frenzy song in the background of the outro? Core memory unlocked
I'm here to say all Mach-Hommy Vinyls can be in this series
The album Ænima by Tool goes consistently for over 1k and has a listing of over 2.5k on Discogs
Madeon's Celine (12122017) is usually in the $500+ range now. Adventure is pricey too but not as cool of a story as Celine
Also Highly Visceral part 1/2 by the Psychedelic Porn Crumpets
Hawaii Part II by Miracle Musical
Most of the Protomen's early pressings and of course, Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum by Tally Hall. Although that's getting a re-pressing so that might go down.
Smaller bands with cult followings can be pricey
Also anything in vaporware/retrowave can just be...yikes
Floral Shoppe comes to mind
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard's debut EP Willoughby's Beach (numbered vinyl) has a median selling price of $671 and a max of $1375. It was limited to 350 copies. That's probably the highest (recent) album I'm aware of.
The G.A.T by Mach-Hommy sold in 2015 on vinyl for $3000 and then was resold on eBay around last week for $5000. None of it is even on streaming either.
yet again this is uploaded with great timing, as i just blew a hundred dollars on Mystery Skulls merch (although there was a sale going on, so i got like 7 albums and a shirt lol)
Hot damn, this ones spending-spending! Well I respect the hussle, lol. If you had to get one of these three, which would it be?
I have a signed first printing of Veteran by Peggy which I’ve never seen listed online. The non-signed version is listed for over 300
the pinkerton diaries which includes one book and only one cd (alone 3) *not counting the autographed poster,* goes for around $300-400, literally insane
Mach-Hommy is a really infamous underground rapper known for charging a ton for all of his music and also barely putting any of it on streaming. His cheapest CD ever was around $70, with his 2nd cheapest being $150 (The vinyl version of that release being $400). His most expensive vinyl sold for $3000 and was resold just a few days ago for $5000. His music is worth looking at.
Is his music worth a listen tho?
@@ultimadum7785 Depends on what type of music you like. I uploaded one of his songs unlisted at ua-cam.com/video/bDDzOwy6m8Q/v-deo.html
@@randalhopkins9984 I mean I like underground rap so I'll check him out. thanks for the link btw
Just about any mono copy of any UK Beatles album. Doesn’t matter what pressing it is a VG+ copy is almost always over $100
The beatles ep yesterday and today launched with a cover of the band covered in baby part and meat it was then recalled and is now very rare
