Disclaimer: I am not a regulated immigration consultant, I am just sharing my personal experiences which, I gained through applying my application for Canada. I came in Canada in 2016 as an international student, after that I applied my husband's open work-permit and my son's visitor visa. I also applied visitor visa for my other family members too. After, graduating I applied my PGWP and my husband's open work permit. Eventually after one year, I applied PR for our family and also, got approved. I uploaded this video to help others by sharing my experiences and knowledge. Question: One of my family member visitor visa extension got denied with a reason that they submitted application after their status expiry date but in reality they submitted 1st application 2 months before their status expired, but they missed attaching a form in the 1st application, so IRCC asked them to submit new application and by the time they submitted 2nd application, their status was already expired. So they had no other option. What would be the best way to appeal this decision? Do we submit another application with an additional letter to explain our situation?

Hi for example my mom get her visitor record, She stayed almost 1 year with me in Canada. Whenever She wants to come back to Canada, can she come back again or not? Maybe CBSA can ask to her why you stayed in Canada longer then 6 months, this supposed to be happen right ?

Hi Samer, Student visa is different. Student visa is a multiple entry visa and expired at the same date as of expiry date.
Hello very helpful information. But if my visa is going to expire in December 2023 cause that is when my passport expires, do I need to apply for new visa when I get my new passport or do I just apply for a visitor record?

- However they have also asked for a medical test (IMM1017). Is this normal as they have been living in Canada for around 6 months now.
- Also they have got the approval letter. So what happens if we don't submit the medical test?

I and my girlfriend are in a relationship from last 5 years she is going on a student visa in September intake her parents are not getting convinced for marriage due to me and my families financial instability can we do a secret marriage without including our families nor inform them as there will be a lot of difficulty in the whole process can we apply for spouse visa keeping everything under the cover please explain the whole process in one video please i am not getting any proper guidance as i was working in Africa from pas 6 years so we have been living in long distance now and then (I used to come to India in every 11 months) we are not prepared to stay apart for 2 more years please make video mam and put some light as we are planning to get married in jan after she appears for IELTS.

Depends on your situation, say if this is for your children then it will be as long as your visa/permit is valid.
