    did he just freaking make a skin of clay and put it on top of the muscles he modelled??

      I love how he sculpt tge clay one by one so if a beginner want to stop the process they can still do it. Like the one in his hands and feet video, he's going to make a hand pulling a sock on a feet which is going to be hard to add details but he make the feet so detailed even though he's going to cover it anyway. When i watch that i know if i can't di the sock park then i can just stop in the feet sculpture. Amazing

    I know it's to have a better idea of bony landmarks, but why not just sculpt the body from the outside/in instead of inside/out? Just seems like a lot more work just to say to say you did so. Seems like if you already have a good eye for form and are good at sculpting you wouldn't be required to go through so many extra steps. Kind of like method acting. If an actor is already a good actor then why stay in character the whole shoot and not just jump into character when the director says action. IDK somebody interject.

    • @dumby3207
      @dumby3207 6 років тому

      Viiking 01 idk for my sculpting almost comes naturally. I’ve only sculpted a few times. I think what you’re talking about can be done but you sill have to visualize the bony forms in your head? Laying down the muscles and anatomy will make your statue look MUCH more realistic just because the “skin” will lay on top naturally like a real person. But just like marble carvings, it can be done that way too. Marble statues almost have this more smooth and fatty look to them because of the lack of anatomy and structure. It’s just a matter of style I guess. Lol sorry for the word vomit it’s 1am and I’m bored watching sculpting videos
