This mod has got to be the inspiration for artificers abilities, and for the whole spearmaster campaign. Litterally the slugcat is a messenger for Seven Red Suns, Moon hasn't collapsed yet, and the messenger is bringing a pearl to 5 Pebbles
It’s in the lore that this slugcat was sent before spearmaster. Spears lore mentions suns making a mistake by giving pebbles this pearl. This is also the exact pearI you find in chimney about breaking taboos. Also downpour was more slugcats mod before this. MSC was being developed before drought. 5-6 years ago compared to drought coming out about 3. There may have been some collaboration between the two though for sure, because RWs community was way smaller in 2019 and they could’ve collabed to make sure they stayed within lore. I think it’s just coincidence and you just happen to play as the slugcat just before speary. It would make sense why there’s a working moon in both. Wanderer takes place just before spearmaster in lore
@@yublockme with me now having played downpour several times over, I actually think spearmaster gets sent twice. In one of the broadcasts you can find, SRS says “Last time, Five Pebbles was very gentle and careful with removing it. This time, he simply slashed open the chest and ripped the pearl out. The messenger was struggling to stand.” Pebs also flat out says “Suns...? Why did you send the messenger here again?” Unless SRS sent out 2 separate messengers (which is totally possible, just not outright said) it’s more likely that our lovable spear boy was sent twice. Even with that being said, even if Drought isn’t canon, it’s too much of a coincidence to just be a coincidence. I did it on my playthrough and was blown away to see what happened when you first go to moon in this video. Though in this timeline the data pearl gets purged and so pebbles never gets the information and the other major events that of the game like moons collapse and the tot’s creation never happen

The working assumption is that the garbage down there is mostly from Pebbles' attempts at removing the rot. Garbage Wastes is the most dangerous during Spearmaster's run, as the garbage in question is still fresh and highly toxic, and thus before then, it should be unrecognizable. Perhaps it is an extension to Pipeyard or Drainage System, or something new entirely. - Waterfront Facility would still have a bridge connecting Pebbles' and Moon's legs. - Without the Rot, there is no reason for Pebbles to be consuming so much water. The "drought" would be due to less frequent rain. The tidal surge is less likely to remain a feature. - Without the Rot, Pebbles isn't consuming so much water, therefore Moon isn't getting starved, therefore Moon's superstructure is in good shape. - Moon being given the pearl does, in fact, break canon, so it is unlikely that Moon would even be reachable. (extra spoily spoilers below) If Moon IS reachable, it implies another timeline where the Rot never existed. Neither Pebbles nor Moon would have have fallen by the time Saint arrives. Spearmaster, Hunter, and Rivulet would've never been sent. Survivor and Monk would not have been recruited to help Moon. By the time Saint is found wandering the wastes, while there might be snow on top of Pebbles' and Moon's cans (among other high places), it wouldn't have managed to reach the lowlands. The warmth the two iterators give off would keep the ecosystem around them thriving. Indeed, if it were not for Saint ascending the two iterators, they might stand and continue functioning for decades to follow.

I have done no research about this mod, but I want to know if it was an inspiration for the team behind Downpour 🤔
The More Slugcats mod was the inspiration for downpour, in fact, they brought the More Slugcats team onto theirs to help develop it!
@@devboo this whole campaign is essentially an earlier version of spearmaster
@@lelagrangeeffectphysics4120 MSC was being developed before drought you can find people playing spearmasters campaign almost 5 years ago. The Wanderer in lore takes place shortly before spearmaster so it would make sense why there would be a working moon in both. Moon also mentions lore in the gold pearl you find in Chimney saying this illegal information was most likely was transported by pearl so that they didn’t get caught breaking taboo. I think that this is that exact pearl and the Wanderer is the slug that brought that pearl. I think it’s just coincidence since they were being developed at around the same time.
A Brazilian slugcat, very interesting

6:10 I think the lizard police is racist cuz he attack a black slugcat... or maybe he was attacked because having a grapple worm without a license is illegal
