Cool
Thank you so much for posting this song. Although I was only about 12-13 years old when this song came out. I remember recording this on tape when it came on the radio. It didn’t get much airplay in Detroit, so I was very fortunate to capture this extended version as the very 1st song on a brand new TDK cassette (I’m old). It was so clear and I cherished this song for years. I never knew who made it, so again I thank you for sharing that too.
Everyone do yourself a favor and put on earphones to really enjoy the sterophonic quality that was put into this work. Truly funky reverbing grunts, nice horn call and replies , and the guitars caused a gentle tickling of the ears throughout the song.
I love the the theme of the song because those were near the end of the disco days and I couldn’t participate by going to the clubs. So this song helped me to feel invited to “come party with us” in my pajamas at home.
Much Detroit love to all. I miss real music.
I was 14 y.o. when this number came out, imported records were extremely scarce here in Rome, 12" singles available only to DJ's, I bought this copy you're hearing here many years later. Yes, you could find Long Playings in stores but the versions weren't like the 12" mixes which have moro solos and extended time...
Excelente..👽👏
Everybody get on up and dance
Everybody come on, let's be friends
Everybody get up on your feet
Everybody (dance to the happy beat)
Sittin' there lookin' down and out
All your friends are out partying tonight
Inviting you to come party with us
Get on up, come strut your stuff, yeah
No pressure here for you to get it on
(Get it on)
Everyone here all night long
All we do is jump, scream and shout
So everyone'll say go ahead, go ahead
Everybody get on up and dance
Everybody come on, let's be friends
Everybody get up on your feet
Everybody (dance to the happy beat)
Go'head, go ahead
Go'head, go ahead
Everybody work your body
Everybody work your body
Everybody work your body
Everybody work your body
Now you know just how it feels
Don't hold back, just be for real
Everyone here, here from a different town
For just one purpose and there's only one
No excuse for you to get it on
So get on up, let's go ahead, go ahead
Go ahead
Everybody work your body
Everybody work your body
Everybody work your body
Everybody work your body
Oh go ahead, go ahead
Come on and strut your stuff
Go ahead
Go ahead
Everybody go ahead
So good, don't hold back
Just be for real
'Cause I come, I come to kill
Yeah, all right, ooh!
(Dennis Richardson)
Very good copy. Their is a nice profound beat sound I like. I think it's the song from Instant Funk that I like the most. Thx for your work to put it here.

After I transfer the record into digital domain I scrub off light scratches, vinyl pressing defects, etc. with lot of care trying not to kill the music. This take hours of work but it pays at the end.
Thank You Very Much for your nice comment ;-)
+OLDSCHOOLNEVERDIES I do the same ! I use Adobe Audition. I kind of became an expert to localize the clicks on the waveform, and to correct it with a function of Adobe Audition. It is very long indeed, but the results are there ! Bye.

I see we do same work with auto heal by Adobe Audition CC 2015 ;-)
Keep on with the good work!
