This spoke to me. I just did a 30 day roadtrip with half the time sleeping in my suv and the other half in my tent. I felt like all I did was move stuff around to get to what I needed. Definitely going to work on minimizing. Thanks for sharing
ohhh- i totally did that too. about a year and half after that 2020 trip- i ended up doing a year on the road in that car and a teardrop trailer. but for the first 2 months, all i did was play tetris with all my stuff to make it more “accessible”. in the end- i noticed i brought too many clothes and a few “essentials” that i never even used for a whole year. i don’t go into all the stuff i brought with me- but i do show you my whole one year journey here, if you’re interested: ua-cam.com/video/suS0r9mNyxc/v-deo.htmlsi=uW2HeJL4ao6pUNk-
When I travel in my car - I don't listen to music. Nothing. I find that is a way to be in the present. Actually I don't listen to music at all, anymore. Silence. Have a great day! 🙂

Great video! I am about to start my life on the road here at age 40, and I have been planning this for about 6 years or so. I am in Utah, so thankfully I am familiar with the west where I will be spending the majority of my time. Quit my career last year and now the last step is just getting my house here sold or rented out. The concept of stuff reminds me of Fight Club's "The things you own end up owning you" and the book "Goodbye Things" where each item has a silent to do list demanding our bandwidth and attention. The freedom of minimalism is amazing!

hello! officially- no. i am currently couch surfing in between friends, while i get my finances in order to go back to traveling. but at the moment, i’m drawing out plans to do a buildout in the car, so i can continue to travel in the future. once i get moving on that, i’ll be sharing!

oh - i used to do that everyday after work. instead of cranking up my radio, i turned it off and sit in the sound of silence (not the song).
