I've seen tons of videos explaining the asdr on amp and short stabbing the filter, but my baselines always sound like diarrhea (no joke, check my soundcloud haha). Thank you for making this video. This was very informative video mate. I just tried out a couple of things with the resampling technique you showed and I can already tell that this is going to be a part of my bass designing process. I have been looking for a way to resample and add the 'warp types for basses inside serum for quite some time and I think this technique combined with sampling the transient part separately can work really well in achieving that.
yeah man it seems to be a really handy technique! i’ve got some nice results from it, if you download the competition pack on my server there’s a collection of waves made with this technique:)
Did you try to create bass with two oscioators 1 and 2 where the oscilator 2 is a sine wave creating the sub and is automated to duck each time with an LFO assigned so when the kick hits sub goes flat, and where the oscilator 1 is giving the body of the bass only , without the first fundamental in it

That's a nifty technique mate! I'll start resmapling my basses now and see whether that steps up my game.

it would be better for the phase of the sound to start from upper pitch to lower for an easier phase alignment later or in the process.

i have done in the past but it’s not a technique is use these days

essentially it’s a heavily dispersed saw :)
for some reason it doesnt let me drag the audio into the osc 1 :((((
try right click the audio and press ‘crop clip’ then try again

you can create the exact same waveform with just eq and any plugin that causes phase shift, such as ablutions eq3 or any multi band plugin.
