Downtown Phoenix is the central business district (CBD) of the City of Phoenix, Arizona, United States. It is located in the heart of the Phoenix metropolitan area or Valley of the Sun. Phoenix, being the county seat of Maricopa County and the capital of Arizona, serves as the center of politics, justice and government on the local, state and federal levels. The area is a major center of employment for the region, with many financial, legal, and other national and international corporations housed in a variety of skyscrapers. Major arts and cultural institutions also call the area home. Downtown Phoenix is a center of major league sports activities, live concert events, and is an equally prominent center of banking and finance in Arizona. Regional headquarters for several major banks, including JP Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo, US Bank, Bank of America, Compass Bank and Midfirst Bank are all located within or close proximity to the area.
The City of Phoenix defines Downtown as the area between 7th Street and 7th Avenue, from McDowell Road on the north to Buckeye Road on the south.[1] However, the majority of downtown development is concentrated in the smaller area surrounding the intersection of Washington Street and Central Avenue (which is the point of origin of Phoenix street addresses and numbering).

its easier to stay clean when your downtown has so few people walking around but it could be like 114 out

Had an unexpected layover trying to fly back home to Memphis from Vegas in 2019, we were put up in a hotel by the airport and found out the Arizona Mills Mall was in walking distance, so the next late morning we went there, walked around the mall and had lunch , then walked back to get our stuff and caught a later flight home. So we want to come back and see more of the Phoenix area one day soon, especially downtown like this video..
Thank you for watching my video.
I look forward to your trip to Phoenix once again.

This video must have taken place on college spring break or at a time when the Phoenix Suns were in town and the local bars were full being entertained watching 'em hoop!

Does Phoenix downtown usually have alot of people walking? Is the downtown lit and active in person?
I miss phoenix too much…
Doesn't look like much is there but it does look nice.
Thank you for watching my video.
It’s because Phoenix downtown is all corporate. If you’re looking for pubs, clubs and other social places you have to go to Tempe. They are working on making Phoenix downtown feel more lively but it’s not there yet.
How warm is it there in april? Too warm to be outside? For a city of 1.6 million the streets same desolated, where are all the people?
You should put the Temps on screen
5:10 only right!!
Very nice city
The city 🌆 I live in
16:25 Car accident!!
UA-cam Teezy T Phoenix. Guy spits the truth about it.
I’m staying on Roosevelt Row for a couple of months in Nov/Jan, will I need to hire a car..?
Any advice appreciated.
Thank you for watching my video.
I think you should rent a car.
@@GMCBlvd Message received Number Two…may I politely enquire as to where I’ll be driving to..?
@@troytempest290I know this is after your trip but I just wanted to say going practically everywhere in AZ requires a car because there is no metro and stuff like the light rail doesn’t go far, mainly for college students like getting from campus to campus, and its run down and unsafe for many.

We are rhe 4th largest city and fastest growing in the U.S.
Anyone know how the cost of living is in Phoenix on average?
Expensive but not as much as California.
It's pricey if you want a decent apartment could run you from 1300 and on up for a one bedroom. Anything cheaper is scummy apartments.
Your bill is now $10 trillion dollars state of Arizona
More of a suburb downtown than a real city downtown lol
I hope you can remove the "4K" thing at the corner next time
why are there almost no people on the streets. The city has no live
Its because of how wide it is. I agree that I wish Phoenix was fuller - but this is how lots of the states are in the US nowdays because they aren’t made the same way as something like Seattle with a market, or any old city with a plaza. its just on a grid. Phoenix is used alot for business, so when there are big buildings around your not going to see many people especially during the day when everyone’s at work. also not really in the summer because its so hot. Certain areas like Rosevelt row are going to have alot more peope walking. If you ever do visit, I would recommend planning to be there on the first friday of whatever month you go because thats when the montly First Friday festival is downtown. That way you can see the community way better.
