My family had a lower model of this camcorder. The only difference being that there is no audio or video dubbing feature available. Also, we had a coaxial hookup that goes to that special port in the back as well. All in all, its not a bad camcorder.
ha i had something very simalar but a uk brand, i also came to have an 80s studio location camera from a defunct cable chanel. god it was heavy and had allsorts of unusual buttons and tricks. i had it uptill 3 years ago when i offered a good chunk of change for it. nice vid.
its not all that hard to convert things to litium ion. the catch is keeping track of cut off voltages if you are not using a battery management board. Most camcorders used "6v" which were happy running on 2 cells but you had to watch it. however the 12v ones were the best as you can run off 3 cells and most cameras would cut off just around the upper limit of the packs' required cut off which is 9.3 or so.. basically 3.1v per cell.
Always nice to see more of Ben's junk ;)
Nice, man. Never bothered with VHS camcorders myself in the 80s and 90s, I used 8mm, Hi8 and later a Betacam.
That camcorder requires VHS tapes and has a built-in CRT playback? That's a new feature.
I finally got my camera charger for my late '90s camcorder that I've got at a rummage sale back in April of 2014.
You could've said April of this year but hey I'm not judging how you type I'm just saying

Me too, a Ferguson. It came with a colour ribbon printer, not surprisingly the prints were rubbish.
Nice featureset!

I like my camcorder and talk nice about it.
Camcorder?) When you say camcorder - I imagine something the size of a palm. THAT thing is a full-blown camera :)
Something the size of a palm is called a palmcorder. This is a camcorder.
