@jeremy usborne Here you go mate
What is the maximum height of each wall thickness if it was free standing
Good explanation thanks 🥰
Thank you for your comment. ;)
I feel like I've actually lost brain cells watching this 🤔
Dout cleared 👍
Do I have to build wood framing inside of the brick walls?
no, brick walls are strong enough without reinforcement, if the building is single floored. if youre adding more floors, then i suggest steel reinforcement rather than wood. wooden frames are installed when we are making drywalls or walls with stone masonry
You will if you want insulation. Concrete Masonry Units and bricks have an R-value of less than 1. Standard insulation has an R-value of 16 to 24 depending on the type and thickness. Your building code almost definitely will require you to have your walls be of a certain R-value. So in that case, you will have to frame interior walls so the batting has somewhere to go and for the drywall to attach that will go over it.
Mark, how thick is wall?
its 230mm for a one brick thick wall, half brick wall is 115mm
"Depends"
Thanks for the video ... I have a half brick house structure built already.... In area where all our build with half brick walls.... I’m confused how would I build wood roof structure on it ? Can you help with some advice please
you can fasten the roof to the brick wall with the help of a steel frame which will be nailed to the brick, for secured roofing.
I'm an Architect currently studying Construction Mgmt
True
Sorry but this should be self explanatory for most people over 10 years old. What about mortar? 10mm is standard in the UK.
Wat kind of crap is this.. there is absolute no measurements in place
thanks; but i needed wood walls
Hahaha
