Glock G42/G43 +4 Magazine Extension

How to install a Glock G42/G43 +4 Magazine Extension by FAB Defense. These pretty cheap mag extensions work great and are perfect for adding +4 to give you 10 rounds and more grip to give you better muzzle control and better follow ups.

I would trust them for defensively use. I’ve put about 300+ rounds through mine with absolutely no issues. That’s included after being flicked out/dumped from speed reloading.

@jasonshink6589 yes, it was still working great and I had put approximately 500-600 rounds through them without any issues. Unfortunately it was cheaper to shoot my 9’s so I sold this G42 this month.

@Vegwop So it's a failure to feed issue. Sounds like a spring issue or possibly the follower? I'd pull it apart and double check the short extension spring and the little plate the factory mag spring sits atop to make sure they're not going crooked inside the extension, which will cause you to not be able to fill the mag to ten and with the bind it'll not allow the spring to push up with the follower. Also check to make sure the follower is sitting properly on top of the spring. If it's offset, it'll make the follower bind inside the mag. Hope this helps. Try and let me know..please.

If you have a grip plug installed, the magazine with the 42-10 extension will not fit into the magazine well. You will have to remove it.

Yes, great to mention and thank you. The factory mags leave that open and these mag extensions cover the grip plug so you don’t need the plug.

I can’t fit the 10th round. Fires fine with 9. Can’t get the 10th in. It even close.

@@909cobra hell nah. When you do get the 10th is, seating the mag on a closed slide is forcing the mag release out a little and twisting it.

I have a g42 but I git the fab defense for the g43, could I still use it

@Kyle Coberly On the FD website the one listed for the G43 says 42/43 in the description, so I would imagine it would fit. The one for the G42, states only for G42’s. Thanks for watching.

Is it necessary to apply a small amount of Permatex threadlocker to the allen screws?

I notice when I compare this empty mag to a Empty stock mag the follower (black thing at the top )
looks off (especially if you compare at them side by side from the back)
is this normal ?

Might try taking it apart again, (if you haven’t tried yet) and putting it back together. Make sure the bottom of the mag sits inside the grooves on the extension. Mine looks like factory.
