Trying to prepare for winters rain with leaky windows on ‘03. Seems like a lot but gotta do something :(
It’s really not that bad. Just takes a little time.
My allen wrench was junk
Yeah that happens unfortunately. Even the bits I’ve gotten from Leupold, Eotech and some others are definitely not primo tools.
Exhaust cutout is easier on the walking money stack
Thx
Thank you for watching
OK, finally got it greased, very trick job. Used a thin needle Lincoln 5803 from Amazon. Rotate drive shaft till grease port down so I could barely see grease port, it is buried and it is hard to get the needle tip into the port, it does not lock on or anything, have to press needle into the port. with it at 90 degrees or straight up and down. Have to clean it off to see it. I could not get it lined up coming in front side of the carden joint, grease just leaked out around the grease port. With pistol grip grease gun, and long flex hose, come in from behind joint on rear wheel side of support bracket and angle needle into the port 90 degrees upwards Pumped in 10 pumps and red lithium grease came out the back of the ball (rear wheel side) carden joint. Horrible design, and I wonder how many actually can get this done right. I helped to come in from backside so I could see the needle and port better than being blocked by hand, The longer the flex hose the better.
Where did u get the seal kit from
Bought the butyl tape from home depot.
Can you use a hands free for the phone on it
Yes, although I haven’t used it except once.
@@figsoutside1981 good deal sir thank you
How did you get all the crud out of the bottom of the bowl?
I used a shop towel and either a screwdriver or something of the sorts. Kind’ve a pain either way, but not terrible.
@@figsoutside1981 Ever thought of using a turkey baster? :-) Diesel should be safe with a wet dry vac. I pulled several pieces of hard plastic that looked to be a piece of tube out of my filter bow when I had fuel issues going up WV mountains. I still suffer low power when towing. Not sure if stuff is lodged in the fuel line leading out of the bow or just my 07 5.9 megacab sucks at moving.
@hoobeydoobey1267 good idea on the baster. I replied to you in email.
OK, I finally found it again. IT is not on the cross joint, it is on the frame of the CV joint. I pumped a bunch of grease in like 20 pumps while pushing the broad needle tip into the fitting, but I am not impressed. I see a lot of grease seemed to have leaked out on the same side as the grease fitting, and I see none on the backside, so when it fails will be time for some new parts again. Definitely this a lousy design. Designed this way to guarantee future part sales. I had a DC joint on 62 Buick same kind of grease fitting, and I never greased it and it never failed.
Yeah, terrible design. That’s the way it seems like all companies for everything are going and doing. Just like most brake rotors are no longer turnable. Dumb!
in 2019, Dealer replaced front driveshaft when I got truck (2005 model). Is it possible the new one does not have grease fitting
I would not think so. It’s a non sealed joint so it should have one.
I swore I thought I greased mine on my 3500 dually 4 door a few years ago. But today jacked tire and looked hard and I see nothing at all like in your vid. I have worked on many cars and trucks over decades, very familiar with that, and I cannot see it. Only options I have is remove driveshaft to get better look or ignore it.
If you are still getting leaks,,,it's the $ 8.00 gasket behind the 3rd brake light guy's. First thing to cause a leak on 97-03 f150
amazon dont sale it
I am about to do this to my recently passed dads 2003 Ford F150. I already tore out the carpet and only the front two seats remain!
Sorry to hear about the loss! My condolences!
Gracias a tu video me decidí a comprarlas... 👍🏽
Can't believe its that much bs to reseal a rear window
Yeah, it’s a great design. Haha
FYI there is a difference Between this map sensor for boost $200 ish and the aviant sensor located on the air intake box. $100 ish .. make sure both are good .. 👍
For sure. Thanks! Thanks for your time and for watching.
Great video! Blow your nose next time though or do the “farmers blow” closing off one nostril, blow hard then repeat on the other nostril. I was more focused on you sniffing than the video!😂😂😂Good video though what I could gleam from it. It looks like a nightmare but in actuality is just a little time consuming. Thanks for the video!
Like to call them Snot Rockets! If I remember correctly I might’ve just been getting over a head cold.! Lol
My grill broke and I need to remove or repair, or replace... Thanks for the post. I had a cat 40 years ago that would do the same thing while I was working on my car. Same colors as yours, as well. His name was Pumpkin.
Thank you for watching.
I have one, Springfield dropped the ball on this one. CCI mini mag, 36 gr. HP do the best for me. But I love the gun just don't shoot well at all.
Yeah, it’s definitely finicky on ammo. My boy has about 150 rounds through it now. It has really pulled the groups in with the Aquila ammo. Still haven’t gotten around to do another vid with more types of ammo.
What size do you have and your weight.? Looking at the same coat have the extreme with cordura and its been abused and shows no wear. Thanks
My seat cushion is shot but the material is still pretty good so I'm going to attempt to replace the cushion. I like the idea of not taking the seat out of the truck. I'm going to try that also
Yeah, I held off on doing mine at first because of the dread of taking the seat out. Then really looked at and had the realization that I didn’t have too. Thanks for watching.
What about left and right
Dang, sorry for the super late response. Not that I’m aware of. Just up and down
The AR mag is designed to accept pcc mags like scorpion etc not pistol mags 😊
Can i find this on a 08 dodge ram?
Yes, you should have it on your 08. When you find it, mark it with a silver sharpie or some white out or something for easier identification next time.
Thanks very helpful
Thanks for watching
I got one in the sage colored stock a few months ago and really like it. I’m getting exceptional accuracy with Fiocchi Range Dynamics ammo.
Sweet. I’ll have to give those a whirl. We just haven’t had time to shoot since the vid. Sucks. Thanks for sharing info and watching!
Perhaps you could get footage of a larger load going down a steep incline.
I did one hauling 4 tons on my flat bed trailer about a year ago
@@figsoutside1981 What is the name of that video?
Banks Exhaust Brake with 4 Tons ( 4,000kg's) of hay. ua-cam.com/video/Rtbq9dunPek/v-deo.html Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and asking.
Great video. Maybe spray some lubricant or put some anti sieze on the threads.
Thanks. Yes, definitely put a small dab of anti-seize on them.
It actually axle nut has two Torx sir. The first torque is about 132 foot pounds to 149 foot pounds and this is on 2003 to 2005 dodge it doesn’t matter if it’s 2500 or 3500 4 x 4 then you spend the hub 5 to 10 times let the bearing sit and then final torque is. 263 foot pounds. I’m not going to use Nm You don’t want it over torque your hub bearings or under torque them you torque them at 300+ ft pounds that’s way over. You might’ve been thinking ( 357 Nm) Which is 263 foot pounds
Good to know!!
Boutta do mine appreciate it
I’ve been wanting to upgrade my dad’s 04 Dakota and this is perfect!!!
Thanks. Thanks for watching and Hope it goes smoothly for you.
I got the seat cover for my 2013 Ram 1500 for $23 and the foam part on Amazon for $45. Its a different pattern than yours, and I needed to get D ring pliers which were $14 on Amazon to attach the seat cover to the foam.
I'll just pay the 700 dollars.
You can do it man. You got it!
WARNING! Safety Violation! NEVER do mechanical work on equipment while wearing rings or jewelry. This should be common since? He is lucky to still have his finger! Also, when did he close the canister drain valve? Was there water or dirt in the drain bottle? How long between filter changes? What is the Cummins micron rating of the filter? Inadequate information to do a good job.
Hahaha, yes you can always loose a finger when doing simple filter changes. Might as well take your jewelry off when pumping fuel or gas and if someone is already pumping, you should definitely shut your vehicle off and coast in, that way there’s less chance of a spark with all the vapor. You always shut the fuel drain valve off when it’s done draining or you could forget it. And the vid is, “How to change the filter”, not choosing the best filter.
Also, yes, when I was logging, running hydraulic presses, or working around anything running I never wore my ring
Great vid!
Thanks man! I was probably a little too hot and tired when I did this one. Hahaha
Hey, i know this is a lkng shot, but just wondering how the dorman one held up?
So far so good. I’ve made several long trips and probably have roughly 12,000-14,000 miles on it.
Only thing that i would say is to start with the Front to line up the stitching line's with the edges and round over part..then pull it all tight in the Rear... But Thank's .. Gives me a good idea and starting point of what's all involved in replacing the cover...
Let me know how it works.
@figsoutside1981 it worked great..lined up the Front..stapled it..then pulled it tight...and popped the back in with a Puddy knife...
Sweet, thanks for the update and for sharing that.
Actions are categorized as fast, MODERATE, slow. Its a medium power moderate action
👍🏼
Life's too short for slomo.
Hahaha, life’s too fast
Need more dealerships here in the mid west states. Michigan
thanks
At first I was a bit disappointed at how much force it took to get the pistol mags in. Took leaving them in for several days to get it to loosen up some and now getting them out and re-indexing is a bit smoother while still having good retention.
Yeah, brand new is always a little tight with these. I’ve had pouches that fit amazing right out of the box. Then after having mags in them for several weeks, they sucked. Mandatory to run retention straps. Thanks for watching and sharing.
Good lookin out brother. Very helpful
Awesome this video didnt show me how to remove it. Just said it was a pain. LOL love these videos that waste time.
Gave you all the steps, but didn’t think anyone needed to see me turn the wrench righty tighty, lefty loosy.
Is the hub supposed to come apart in 2 peices? 😂 Mine did.
Ummm, No! Lol must be a custom piece.🥸
plastic gets tacky after a wile vanguard veo works well.
Cool. Thanks for the info.
Literally proceeds to not film the only difficult part.
Mine was overly simple if you’re talking about the wiring. Match red to red, purple with black line to purple with black line and so forth.
Suggestion. Mark the universal on the outside with a line ( paint or chalk) for quick identification for future. It also helps when rotating the universal to get access to the fitting
That is a dang good idea! I’ll be doing that this coming weekend since I’m going to be greasing it anyway! Thanks for the tip and for watching.
