    So often these videos are made by very experienced campers. It is nice to see a beginner’s real world experience.

      It’s been quite the learning experience. Thanks for checking out the video! I’ve still got plenty to learn and I hope to be able to share it along the way!

    Thanks for sharing this video. It’s helpful. I always wondered if they were easy use. Looks great and your warnings are well taken.

      Thank you for commenting and checking out the video. PahaQue is a great company and I’ve really enjoyed using their awning. After doing it a couple of times and getting used to it, it’s gotten easier. I love it!

    I spiral split pool noodles from Dollar Tree 🌳 and put them around the guide lines to keep myself and others from potential decapitation 😁 also helps with the door giving me someplace to secure it mostly open with a strap, but not rubbing on the visor 🧢

    Nice video showing the functionality of this apparatus.
    I’ll just stick to an EZ-Up secured with four pieces of rope and four stakes.

      They have a nicely build EZ Up style room made just for the 320 too. I would like to get it eventually. Has walls and whatnot to basically make another room. Then I’ll put the visor on the other side. EZ Ups are absolutely a must have in most occasions haha

    Awesome tips! My campers since 2008 have all had cassette toilets rather than black tanks. Totally agreed, so much easier to deal with and quicker. I’ll have to use your sideways tip next time.

    • @ImOddRob
      @ImOddRob  Рік тому

      Thankfully I haven’t had any splash issues with the sideways method. While I’ve never had to deal with black tank in a camper, I’ve had to empty black bucket tanks while camping over the years. What a hassle!

    When putting the pole through the sleeve consider starting with the opposite end than you did in the video. This way if you need to pull from the other end you won’t be pulling the poles apart

    It gets easier each time you use it. Practice makes perfect. I also stand on the steps to pull it forward.

      Nice to hear! Before too long I’ll be able to get it set up in under 5minutes!

    Just use two small carabiners on the end of the support cords for quick attachment. Looks like a wear point when the door is open.

    Thankyou for showing how this works. Curious, you said you're 6'1". Any neck or back issues being inside the trailer since at it's highest point the ceiling height is only 5'9"?

    • @ImOddRob
      @ImOddRob  Рік тому +1

      I haven't really had any issues. However, I don't do much standing while I'm inside it. It's mostly sitting or layer. Kind of a mobile bedroom. I'm sure that it would be an issue for me if I stood a lot more in here, but I just do all my full standing stuff on the outside!

    Can you use it in the rain?

    Seems like a pain in the butt. First thing I thought when I saw these trailers is no awning and how do you get one.

      I’ve put it on by myself a few times since this video. It’s gotten easier to do each time. This one I ordered through PahaQue’s website pahaque.com and they have been really wonderful. Great customer service and really well made awning.

    Could always peg them and not use the slider rail things

    Too much work. There’s got to be a simpler one out there.

    • @ImOddRob

      After getting used to doing it, I can pop it up in a few minutes. If you do find one that is easier and as secure, let me know!
