Modern? most of Tim's playing style is pretty much just how people play classical music is not new. What Tim does, lot of classical guitarists could before him.
@@AlexandrBorschchev The TOD10n which has a low action, shorter nut and has a thinner fretboard. I have a nylon electric which is kind of similar and it’s much easier to play on that than classical. Ibanez even compared it to a classical guitar in their description.
Professional quality classical guitars like this ring like a bell. The top is much thinner than a steel string acoustic so it doesn't take as much force to make sound. Harmonics are much stronger on classical than steel string in my experience.

I started guitar In my 20s. Didn’t become a serious student of it until about 31. Im now 35. This shows me despite my late start, guitar is something I can continue to enjoy for years to come. The goal is to be able to do that.

Polyphia would have a hard time doing that. There's a reason they add all those effects that make the sound bad.
