This is the textbook definition of Baus playstyle. He was 0/6, the Renekton seemed immortal, and yet it didn't feel like the game was over. Bauss getting all the waves, making the ennemy team waste so much time, and suddenly becoming insanely tanky and unbeatable. Impressive.
The thing is renek also had the same cs, it feels like you only need one bad play against babus to get him back, and it feels like he needs 3-4 badplays to lose
renekton doesnt scale, meanwhile sion is a monster late game, baus didnt allow renekton to pressure top lane and when things started evening out, got huge bounty and yiyi
Renekton is so bad against tanks tho, but only late game. Renek could've pushed his early game strat by building Eclipse BC to kill Baus but he didn't. Relied too much on Gore and Q heal when that's such a bad strat against tank Sion.

I love the videos when bausffs play with sion, it's satisfactory to see how the health of sion keeps growing through the game
Games like this make me believe in his strategy. Give their team a false sense of winning by allowing them to catch him top and wasting their time/ resources on him. By the time it's end game, he took enough pressure off his team that they're useful and he can scale/ catch kills and gold and catch up for the win. But then ofc theres games where his team cannot utilize his pressure lol
still you forget that hes most unlikely lost this lane gold wise
It would also need to have a belief in his teammate to survive and not malding while he's scaling to be so tanky in late game. But I guess if you solo ranked, doing the damage or contribute to objectives while Sion is being a distraction is good enough.
@@smokingbeard7796 He won in gold by a lot. 17.2k vs 14.6k. Both top laners had the highest gold on their teams. Baus had 4.5 items by the end, renekton had 3 items + long sword + broken stopwatch. Second highest gold in the game was 14.7k.
Also, renekton had 282 cs and 10 kills vs Baus's 293 cs and 11 kills. Baus's kills were mostly shutdowns and 300s while most of renekton's kills were against an inting Baus worth ~150 gold.
Baus's strategy snowballs pretty hard. The only thing renekton kept up with was exp.

its so crazy watcvhing him, the first 4 deaths just look like straight inting, but because of those four deaths his next 4 were so worthless that the enemy lost out on so much. its insane to watch it make sense as it plays out

This works because he plays a tank and despite inting, he can still do the job hes supposed to. Let him do this with eg an assassin and youll see a difference on the colour of the opgg

@thebausffs what do you think about moments like 4:58 (in game, 2:07 video time) where instead of pushing the wave into the enemies happy spot, instead you let the minions freeze. This way you aren't so far forward, and renekton may lose some exp.
baus freezes -> renek forces the wave to shove into baus' turret as a result -> standard renek dive on 6 with no counterplay due to xp lead -> baus loses 2-3 platings and the game is over. Now let's look at what baus did. Baus dies to shove wave and get renek low -> comes back to lane with wave prio -> uses prio to get crazy proxy value -> free win

@@kluasvt828thing is the 5/0 renekton couldn't really farm that well and he coudn't push a lead or he loses tower plates and tower itself so its not like the 5/0 renekton could really do anything, 5/0 renekton in low elo like gold and silver is going to get a free tp while the 0/5 tries to freeze an empty lane.
