Hey, remember me. I'm the one that caught the bird. Well I actually caught a fish on the 1 inch Gulp minnows. Thanks for keeping your videos not only realistic but simple
You should get some powerbait trout worms to try on the realistic rig. Since they float well they might make for a good bait. Maybe even wacky rig them on it?
I don't think we have those yellow bass here in NY. Look pretty cool. Also, I think instead of poor mans dropshot, you should call it the realistic dropshot.
Im just glad i had no wind while fishing yesterday. Not excited about summer. Live in the southwest US. We get dry heat up to 107 degrees. No rain. Baking in the hot sun.
That was quite the haul on 1 Gulp minnow! Speaking of Gulp minnows, our local K-mart went out of business. I was able to get 5 jars of minnows for $2 apiece. I know you would appreciate that my frugal fishing friend.
Looks more like a fish fry party to me! 😅. What's the bag limit on those yellow bass!? I've never even seen them before your show. Look super fun to catch! Gulp minnow took a beating and kept going! Realistically impressive!
@@RealisticFishing ahem quoting Realistic Fishing, sir, there is no bag limit on these, Mr DNR officer, oh and you welcome to drop in on the fish fry! Byob. 😂. I checked, y'all state call it 'creel limit' but the limit is none and size requirement is none. Striper, hybrids is 2 a day 15" min. Learn something new from you all the time.
👍Those look real nice looking. I have the same problem here by me barely getting to 50 deg and at night still freezing but I can tell warmer weather is here for sure now. I catch fish by me that look kind of like the ones you catch but are solid silver I always called them silver perch and others do also here... they do flair out there gills like a normal perch...Now I am wondering what they may really be?
I bought my first jar of Gulp Minnows 2 years ago. Last year I opened it up. I have never bought live bait since. I carry a couple of jars of Gulp Minnows, Honey Worms, Asticots(for harvesting bluegills for catfish bait), and finally bought a jar of Night Crawlers. Night Crawlers, not so impressed with yet. The minnows on an #8 long shank hook will last me all day. Thats an 8 hook not 8/0. That was a great video demonstrating the Gulp minnows! I do truly enjoy your videos.
Thanks all you guys for real , gotta stop smoking I'm only 24, I legit got 2 mtb boxes and about 10 new hard baits from wish piled up at my house cant wait to get the smallies I got a creek that runs 50 feet from my apartment
@@RealisticFishing you should totally try that creek where you get trout and target smallies pound for pound prolly the hardest fighting freshwater fish
Hey, Alex. Where could I get one of those thermometers. I'd like to buy one. Thanks! It's always cool to see anyone have a good day on the water. It reminds me of the time years ago on the Susquehanna one March, during what was called the perch run, when I was catching them two at a time on blood worms. That was a great day, I tell you!
I have a 4 day weekend coming up and I am going to definitely buy some gulp minnows. Every time I see you use them it makes me want to go try them out. Good job at finding the fish!
Just went fishing here in Ohio air Temp was 48.I could catch shit...last catch was Christmas Eve and it was colder then.Glad when weather warms up this is killing me.
Never caught a yellow bass..... looks fun, great fishing !!!!
They are very fun to catch 👍
Almost not fair. Good thing you didn't give up. Slayed it.

I’ve never caught a yellow bass that I can recall. Awesome looking fish.
If you ever do, there are probably a whole school nearby 👍

Man they were stacked in there like cord wood! Great video!
I was happy to find the school!
New to the channel. Love it. What a day that was. Never saw a yellow bass. Good looking fish.
Thanks for watching Mountain 👍
Congrats on the 40k bro!!!
Thanks!
Was that the same spot where the oily water was? Yellow bass were slamming today!!
Yes, there was some oily water here in the fall.
Man you was slaying them today!
Oh yeah!
Very nice what size hook u using and which color minnow
size 8 and smelt... I think
Yellow Bass! Yeah we were hooking them Sunday at Lone Branch on Rooster Tails. Nice ones too. It'll be 70's by Thursday and Friday.
I hope the nights warm up too 👍
@@RealisticFishing That school of yellow bass is still there at Tyree. Caught 10 today in 30 mins till I lost my Rooster Tail.
Hey man good staff! Keep catching them! Well, have u ever tried rapala rippin rap lipless ever?
I dont think I have tried that one.
If u get the ultralight version it works great for panfishing too!
Some serious spines on those yellow bass
You aint kidding!
I might have to get me a jar of Gulp minnows to go with my jar of Angleworms
They are pretty good 👍

"Hey Alex, how were the fish today"? "They were ALL yellow"... XD
Except for the bluegill, he was blue.

Now that was a great day fishing 😊
I agree 😀
Like the video. How far do you have your hook
12 inches or so
Those yellow bass look like a lot of fun. Put up a he'll of a fight for the size also. Nice fish 🎣👍
I agree 👍
Nice video, where did you get that water temperature reader ?
Check the description "Buy and try yourself"
Good job man i can't get a bite either after 8 different spots in the last 3 weeks frustrating
Yikes!
not bad at all for the gulp minnow a lot of fish caught, that comment about the guy with his shirt had we laughing out!
I am not sure what he was doing 😅
we still have ice fishing going on here in Maine grrrr!! Waiting for ice out
Hopefully soon!
Where are you located we still have over a foot of ice on our lakes up here in minnesnowta
I’ve never caught a yellow bass before. Those looks liked knives for fins lol damn
Glad you found something to bite in that cold water. Gulp minnow worked better than live bait. Congrats on 40K Alex!
Thanks Dewey! I got your mail
@@RealisticFishing awesome!
Do yellow bass taste like white bass? Never had either, just curious. Never really had any type of fish ha.
Yes and yes. They are both good to eat.

First time seeing a yellow bass. I never knew these existed. Looks like a white bass except for the color. Good catches.
Same family of fishes 👍
Nice yellow Bass! We don't have those in southern California....
I don't think we have those yellow bass here in NY. Look pretty cool. Also, I think instead of poor mans dropshot, you should call it the realistic dropshot.
I like the sound of that...
Do you use circle hooks?
Not for this kinda fishing, but I have.
Awesome frkn video. Nice yellow bass.
Thanks Kevin 👍

yep
Another great vid, what hook size/type are you using?
Do you have a liter or is the hook directly to line? Plus what color minnow do you use?
Tons o' fun.

daaaaaaaang. Them fish were HUNGRY! lol
Heyyyyyyy - careful there! That was borderline unrealistic! :)
Video proof is always realistic
Lots of action...loved it!
Wish I could use a drop shot here. There are way too many limbs in the water and I would get hung up all the time.
Use it with a weedless hook like an eagle claw👍
man, those yellow bass look fun. i wonder if i can find any in kansas?
I have never seen the yellow bass before
Here ya go 👍
What was your set up on this bud?
That's a lot of yellow bass. Gulp is very durable.
I agree. I tend to do well on them 👍

Like watching your show. Keep on keeping it realistic.
Wow, really getting into em here. You da man!
Those are the days you live for!
Nice video as always. Keep it up!
Thanks!
Another who would have thought video. Those look like our white bass.
Same family of fish 👍
Try a trout imitation swim bait.
Why?
Bass are less active in the cold water. Maybe a swim bait will trigger it enough to strike due its size. Nothing huge but maybe like 3-4 inch
Nice, if they were biting that aggressive, I bet they'd hit on almost any moving lure.
As long as it was small enough to fit in their mouth 👍
That is a cool lookin fish dude
wood love to see a catch an cook video
It looks like it’s super fun to fish for yellow bass we don’t have them where I’m at near the Michigan Ohio border
Congratulations on 40k Alex 👍

You should try fly fishing for small fish, when the temperatures right

Hell of a good day! If you want to fish some north Georgia creeks, hit me up. I like to cast net baitfish and usually catch a good amount of bass
They're not shy to bite, they're just Yellow.
waca waca waca
I thred it on then put super glue to keep on much better than nothing and just falling apart or off.
superglue on gulp?
