Great video, but with one minor mistake: The high-score-music at the end wasn't composed by Jeroen Tel. It was made by Reyn Ouwehand and was planned to be the Game-Over-theme in the cancelled Deadlock-Game (ua-cam.com/video/JLxWoZPiKWI/v-deo.html). They just re-used it for the cartridge version of Myth ^^
What's going on with the graphics in this one? Most things are evidently stretched horizontally, but a few things (like the sword and the stars on the final boss) are finer.
With all my respect, no, clearly not. It's an impressive C64 game for sure, one of the best I think. But it's clearly below the graphics and music on Amiga, it's obvious when you look at the two longplays without any nostalgia factor (didn't play the game on any system back in the days). If I have one version to play, it will be the 16bits version (even if I'm ok to admit the main character on C64 seems to be a little bit more smooth to control than the heavy warrior of the Amiga version).
@@104d_3rr0r_vince You're right, it is smoother on C64. But globally, I think the game is more impressive on Amiga. And if you play in PAL/60hz, the game is smoother, faster, and more playable.
One of my favourite games on the c64, and some of my favourite music. So good.
This game has a killer loader and intro theme.
Timeless. Jeroen Tel 🤘🏼

When the 8bit version kicks the 16bits in the ass.

@@iXien Never played it either back then. Yeap, 16bit has better gfx but I like the scrolling on C64.

This game have lot of similarities with "First Samurai" game :D
Another big like dropped 👍
Its frankly insulting that the only other song plays at the final boss. Imagine if every level had a song!
is this conan nes game ? but how ?
It's the same game - System 3 licensed the game out for the NES, and it got released as Conan
