I like that he said "not competing with food resources" so we don't take food from animals or people. - happy flying and greetings from Denmark. The country of green thinking :)
Thats superb, its really great to see that Boeing is doing its bit to preserve and protect environment. Bio fuel will prove to be a great alternative. Boeing is really innovating !!! Good job folks .!!!

Because the Biofuel industry is so advanced today, biofuel making can use more oil than what is in the Biofuel . For example , the tractor can use more oil than just normal jet fuel .
The 747, sitting on the ground, covers more ground than the Wright Bros first flight. There were probably nay-Sayers back then that thought, "Human flight for Dummies." Fortunately, there are dreamers who have the courage to look for something good in little achievements.
yes, they do not, however it puts stress on the engines and the airframe, besides, that is actually fuel in-efficient because now you have a dead weight producing drag instead of thrust allowing it to achieve those high speeds it was flying at, and get to its destination much quicker and spend less fuel in transit.
that could just be the blades rotating at the speed your eyes take take pictures, you see, your eyes take a bunch of pictures and send them to your brain and it makes your conscious-ness see it as a steady motion, the blades could be moving fast enough for your eyes to see one, then see another in its place.
Candidate KC-Y tanker: Twin engine (GE-90/PW4000 series engines) 747-8 freighter with extended upper deck, shortened empennage (747SP length) to lighten airframe, with KC-46A tanker facilities. Install winglets for increased efficiency and reduced turbulence for outboard refueling aircraft at refueling pods at the previous outboard engine wing stations. Cargo in the bottom, PAX on the top with fighters in echelon formation across the ocean to the FOB.
that's not the problem, the problem is the infrastructure that is required to transport, refine, and produce fossil fuels. what's gonna happen to that, and how do we convert to bio-fuels. America alone has tons of gas stations, that's a lot of money to replace or retro-fit.
Boeing cares about mother nature!
Boeing + Eco=

Polluting less and NOTTTTT worrying about conflicts in the MIDDLE EAST affecting the supply of fuel.. This is A GREAT DEVELOPMENT..

I'm smiling, because there is hope

It's a great leap forward..to make aviation better
This is needed, considering the light bill at their seattle plant.
Boeing cares about our Mother Nature. Awesome :)))
Does anyone know how far this new fuel can travel without refill compared to what they use now?

1 of the 4 engines wasn't turning. At 0:24
Will "big oil" allow this? -they have lots of govt. control unfortunately.
They don't need to use all 4 engines at all times.
An alternate to fossil fuel(non-renewable) is needed, thus bio fuel(renewable).
GO BOEING!!!!!!
Instead of choking plants with contaminated various diesels and fuels, lets just cut 'em up and inject into our combustion chambers :D

Boeing the leaders in the future of travel.
Bio fuel all the way.
I'm going now go become a hippy
so, let's just not try... To hell with it all.
