      @Mike Graham Alexi is a fun of Roope but he was just getting too drunk to play, then went in the studio and Roope didnt turn up, I love Roope tho, AND ALEXI USED JACKON so that is a stupid thing to say, he couldnt care less what Daniel uses but he got endorsed by esp as soon as he joined bodom

    I feel bad saying this, cause I used DR strings for like, 2 decades! But, I am sorry! NYXL are the best! It pains me to say this. I am very bias, and WANTED DR to be better. But these NYXL really are something special. The 10-52 are just perfect for drop C.

  • @Juicexlx
    @Juicexlx 5 років тому +2

    Weird preamp/amp combo choice that sounds lifeless. It lacks power & clarity in Live shows that I've seen (caveat: UA-cam compression does affect the videos' sound). But something is definitely wrong with Daniel's tone and we know that it isn't the guitars.
    Maybe he should go with a Marshall DSL100W head? or a Mesa Mark V? to counter the overpowering, Alexi's JVM410H crunch channel.
    There's no such mismatch of tones between Dave Mustaine & Kiko Loureiro. They both use JVM410H, but Kiko uses the Joe Satriani JS model as his lead channel.

    • @digitaltourbus
      @digitaltourbus  5 років тому +3

      Not sure what they could do to resolve this. This was one of Daniel's first tours with the band. Maybe they have resolved this already.

    • @Juicexlx
      @Juicexlx 5 років тому +1

      No, they didn't solve the problem, yet. Listen to this show at France's Hellfest, June 23, 2018. We absolutely can't hear Daniels' solos & the rhythm is fine as supporting ''noise'', but unclear ua-cam.com/video/UlT7OkeXJcU/v-deo.html

    • @borkophil6948
      @borkophil6948 4 роки тому +1

      @Mike Graham I agree with you. They put focus on Alexi (no doubt it was instructed from him) and he is loud/dominate in the mix. I don't believe that equipment is at fault here. Just Alexi ego.

    • @michaelgrahamwongacutemadness
      @michaelgrahamwongacutemadness 2 роки тому +1

      Alexi didn’t usually use the crunch channel if at all; he mainly needed one sound other than occasional delay and wah, but he probably switched off the gain-boost and rolled down the volume for cleaner tones. I don’t think Daniel knows what his guitar tech installed since not all of those have an H2-N; it’s hard to tell based on the logo color, but the lack of pole pieces of those neck pickups means they could be 60 or 85 which is definitely a weird thing to do when the bridge pickup is the ALX.
