Static causes frizz though. If you live in NYC like me, you’ll almost always have frizzy hair because of the amount of electricity in the air. It’s like that in most cities. People only think humidity causes frizz but it’s also static.
You’re absolutely right. They’re not the same thing. And as mentioned above, one leads to the other. When I was in HS we did an experiment with electricity. I thought I had frizzy hair that day prior to the experiment, but that machine proved otherwise. Ions will tame staticized hair more easily than frizzy hair caused by other conditions. My frizz is caused by static mostly. The other part of the cause is the fact that I have too many split ends and need to go to the salon (which I’m pretty sure uses ionic hairdryers in the first place) since I can’t cut my own hair.
the woman with the red hair isn’t brushing her hair right she’s basically ripping her hair you’re suppose to start from the bottom and go up if that makes sense and yes i have curly hair so i can kinda relate although my hair is way more curly than hers i still can

you actually should brush curly hair (coming from someone with curly hair) as brushing your hair helps to stimulate your scalp and helps with hair growth. If your hair gets super frizzy when you brush it, i recommend brushing it when it's wet.
As a curly haired girl, you can brush your hair just do it while your hair is wet and has product. I brush my hair with a flexy brush and there is no pain at all.
If she learned how to brush her hair correctly, she could have had better hair. You NEVER start from the top. You're supposed to start from the bottom and work your way up to the top. After that, she can feel free to add something to smooth it down and straighten it afterwards. Not brushing curly hair isn't gonna do it any good, it's eventually gonna get bad tangles and gunk in it. Either take care of your hair or shave it off. Live with two women with curly hair, one has real curls but she straightens it and takes care of her hair, the other super wild frizzy curly hair. No excuses. This ion thing sounds fake...not a beauty student here, but rather one that has taken a few chemistry classes. Hydrogen bonds are those that allow us to temporarily change our hair texture. Hydrogen bonds can be changed by straightening, curling, etc. and they are “reset” when the hair is moistened with water because water is primarily hydrogen. Ionic bonds can only ever be changed with perms, keratin treatments, and more invasive solutions that work by permanently changing the ionic bonds in the hair. Certainly not something a brush can do.

I have a tip for anyone with hair prone to tangling, or thick and curly hair. Always start brushing from the ends of your hair, then work your way up. Ideally use a wide toothed comb to thoroughly (start at the ends) comb before brushing. Or use a detangler.
They say on that Instagram it also works for afro hair, yet I've still not seen anyone showing those images, videos. This was cute but missing thicker, denser, curlier, kinkier hair types.
If you have thick curly hair, brush it right after washing it. Brush down, then brush both sides and back of the head towards the top of the head and then brush down again. This removes all fallen dead hair and hairs that are about to fall out. After that, leave your hair to dry naturally. I have thick wavy hair that is also frizzy and have fought bad hair since I was 11. I later in life found out that most frizz is actually curls and waves bouncing off each other after they've been brushed when dry. Brushing wet hair helps prevent frizz as the hair is straight while it is wet.
What they don't tell you in the ad is that is synthetic hair, which is waaaaaay more staticy than real hair so the reaction is more dramatic than it would be with real hair.
The girl with the curly hair at the end of the video. The ionic brush side looks so much better and tamed. Or was the last part filmed before she brushed it 👀
why r there so many mean comments? they t trying to inform us and for everyone saying the girl with curly hair brushed her hair wrong it said on the package to brush your hair from the root down so... KNOW YOUR PLACE
Red hair girl being negative, then the woman with short hair brushed it and it looked okay but they made it seem as it didn’t, the other hair with straight hair wast even brushing it she was pulling it like outwards literally doing both
The ginger-haired lady is right about brushes being hard for curly hair and creating frizz, but please, just use a comb instead. I have curly/wavy hair and using a comb is so much better than having knots in your hair like she does. Also, don't yank the brush/comb through your hair, it'll destroy your curl pattern and rip your hair off! I highly recommend brushing/combing wet hair after you shower, then let it dry. Once it's dry, you're curl pattern will be untouched and silky smooth.
I feel like they should of grabbed a small amount of hair and brushed, I actually want to try this brush for myself. My hair is like the second girls hair, thick and wavy.
The girl with the red hair wasn’t giving the brush a fair chance. She should have brushed her hair on both sides first. Then go through with a tiny section at a time and go very slowly as if your straightening your hair. That’s how to get it to work
I have the straight fly away hair like the first girl and would like to try this to see if it would help with the static electricity without having to use a dryer sheet
@ everybody who saying the red hair girl is "brushing too hard" y'all must not know what it's like to actually have curly and or coily hair. things such as brushes and combs doesn't glide through our hair. especially the thicker it is, bc if you know anything about hair that isn't thin or straight. your hair has the tendency to knot up quite a lot at the ends, hints why she's holding her hair closer to the roots so she can pull the brush through the slightly knotted ends. she has all rights to give a negative review for clearly they design this brush not having all hair types and texture in mind. quite literally everyone in the brushes ad have type A hair. idk why she even bothered showing up, getting a paycheck somehow ig
All these damn ignorant comments about the girl with the red hair. ''She is soooo negative, she doesn't do it right, doesn't she know how to brush her hair??'' U don't clearly know anything about curly hair so pls. Poor girl just lost her curl pattern there.
It's not that hard to put your hand under some water, shake out all the excess water and then run your fingers through your hair. That's what I did. The instructions mean your hair should be somewhat damp. Like that stage where you blow dry your hair but it looks dry but when you touch it, it's still damp. I've used it for my hair, and it's honestly amazing. It's not as dramatic as the instagram video, but it works. You're supposed to brush your hair regularly and then use the ion brush. It's not gonna work on it's own, don't expect it to.
The instructions say slowwwwwwly root to tip. Actually in images redhead had nominally less static on the ionic side. Plus split-ends are not flyaway. Heavy damaged ends are just really hard to control. As a wavy redhaired person, I use horse grooming products. And except my ionic/thermal 5 inch round boar-bristle on porcelain brush... use combs. BTW my goal is always to have my hair appear straight for larger part of the day. My profile pic has no hair product, simply slow brushed with my hi end groomers brush by Royal Blue Duchess (no longer available. They had a smoother that was to die for.. I wish I had bought a pallet!!) However this brush type is a NO! Brushes with those stupid scalp protector bubbles can ruin your hair if it is thick or curly!
Curly hair CAN and NEEDS to be brushed. If you don’t do it it’ll knot and mat. The only thing is, you don’t do it while dry. You wet your hair and use hair product, that way it won’t break the curls and make it look like you just did to yours. 🙄
Can someone tell the red hair girl that if she wants to have defined curls, OBVIOUSLY you don't brush curly hair, you put combing cream on it and push it gently from bottom to roots , like that's rule number one on curly hair care
I bought it just now I'm a guy with curly frizzy hair that gets frizzy over any little heat, I'll see if this actually works when my package arrives. Anyone else try it out ?

Or was the last part filmed before she brushed it 👀
love the sound effects, someone is definitely a Nintendo fan!
Here's a thought, why is fizzy a huge deal?
Because most people don't want to have frizzy hair. Simple as that.
it’s annoying
monzorella1 I have straight hair so I might not give the best definition but basically, it’s hard to make curls pop with frizz.
Moral of the story: this only works on pin straight hair...go figure 😒
Imagine thinking frizz and static are the same thing.
why r there so many mean comments? they t trying to inform us and for everyone saying the girl with curly hair brushed her hair wrong it said on the package to brush your hair from the root down so... KNOW YOUR PLACE
Omg I just learned about ions in school!!!!!!
I think I'll definitely buy this as I have exactly the same hair as the girl with straight and fine hair
Red hair girl being negative, then the woman with short hair brushed it and it looked okay but they made it seem as it didn’t, the other hair with straight hair wast even brushing it she was pulling it like outwards literally doing both
Will it keep down my hair antenna?
Rubbing a dryer sheet on your hair does the same thing
Hhhhhhjjj
Please try it on people with hair that's really frizzy, not with hair that's already maneagable.
So relate to frizz, especially in humidity lol
The girl with the red hair wasn’t giving the brush a fair chance. She should have brushed her hair on both sides first. Then go through with a tiny section at a time and go very slowly as if your straightening your hair. That’s how to get it to work
Omg listening to the red headed girl brush her hair is like nails on a chalkboard!
Same 😢
Is the ionic brush heated in anyway? Are the bristles or the paddle heated?
kashmira priyanka not heated, just a brush
@@kitt3521 thanks
I have the straight fly away hair like the first girl and would like to try this to see if it would help with the static electricity without having to use a dryer sheet
the curly-haired lady is right.
I have thick curly hair. But I only brush when its wet cuz when its dry it causes frizz
Yes! You are not supposed to brush curly hair
Step 1: have straight, fine hair 🙄
😁
Does it come with batteries inside it already?? I did not receive a Manuel
All these damn ignorant comments about the girl with the red hair. ''She is soooo negative, she doesn't do it right, doesn't she know how to brush her hair??'' U don't clearly know anything about curly hair so pls. Poor girl just lost her curl pattern there.
The hair literally looked the exact same. They are saying it helped knowing damn well it didn’t.
Leave in conditioner is good for static hair
The white chick with the brown hair is trying to make a problem out of nothing 😭
Will the brush heats our hair?
Oh no honey..... the girl with the red hair has curly hair..... why would you brush your curls out?..... -__-
Cause some people don't like their curly hair. Just cause you like it doesn't mean she does.
i love koizumi reset brush i think you should do a review on it 😊
Ironically, red hair on the right side became way smoother to the end of the video)))0)
it was a shot from before she brushed that side
The first one’s hair is flawless!! Why is she here
Chelsea, I can relate to ya...
Any time I sweat FRIZZ and it doesn't help that I sweat like a pig
kyle doesn’t even have frizzy hair are you kidding
static...she stated it pretty clearly
Are you daft? She said STATIC, not frizzy.
I am a science student and I can say for sure that "charging the ions" is not a thing
Atleast not what you're trying to say
Chelsea is actually stunning I'm so jealous
I wish I had bought a pallet!!)
However this brush type is a NO! Brushes with those stupid scalp protector bubbles can ruin your hair if it is thick or curly!
I have very curly hair and I only brush my hair when it’s wet I use lots of conditioner
Curly hair CAN and NEEDS to be brushed. If you don’t do it it’ll knot and mat. The only thing is, you don’t do it while dry. You wet your hair and use hair product, that way it won’t break the curls and make it look like you just did to yours. 🙄
Lol love the 80s music in the background
I also tried that experiment but doesn't work. It has little result for my hair.
The brush sorta seems like a straitnger?
*LOVES FROM TURKEY* 🇹🇷❤️
The first girl had great hair in my opinion. Especially compared to mine.
young american people did not know what an ION is? Now I really believe that the americans were never on the moon
The REAL test is to test it on my hair ;) (I have veryyyyy curly and frizzy hair)
I really enjoyed this video because of the sound effects and because my hair is always super frizzy and cause I’m 12
*my hair looks like a lion’s mane lmfao*
living in florida with naturally curly hair sucks so much because of the humidity ughhh
