I thought the concussion talk was bs, but after watching this video, I wouldn't trust my kid to these buffoons
I commented how he ragdolled Andonian only to be beat with takedowns & riding...called him overrated. Boy, was I wrong! This kids INJURED! SHAME ON YOU CORNELL!

Now the trainer needs to be let go if cause he obviously has a concussion 🤣 know what sport you’re helping and be sure you evaluate the athlete before sending them out there to their doom

Kevin sturred up the "Cornell's good ole boys club" hornets nest. I knew he would. Bravo to him for having the guts to stand up for a serious issue like this. Fact is, the video footage raises enough questions that wrestling fans (especially Cornell fans) deserve a full explanation. If the inside intel can explain what went on during what appears to be a "rules not fully followed" incident, let it be told.

Wow. That video was horrifying. Y'all are right. Cornell has a lot to answer for. and shame on everyone else in the media space who didn't even pretend to cover it. Damn. I kind of don't like Cornell for that. You know it's bad when even the ref is like hey, what the F is going on, why are we still wrestling?
These kids don't just go to these schools to wrestle. They more importantly go to further their education. Getting into and graduating an Ivy League school requires a lot of brain power, and at the end of the day, these kids can't fall back on their wrestling for financial stability but their education. His injury was treated with an egregious lack of care. Thanks for bringing this to light, guys!

My uncle back in the day fractured his arm and hs coaches made him wrestle. He had to tape the other arm because guys attacked it haha. These coaches need to realize it not in the athletes benefit, nor in their benefit to take risks like that!!! Come on Cornell coaching staff do better!
As shown on Flo’s video, the wrestlers go OOB at 2:36 left in the 1st period. Only 24 seconds into the match. We can't see what happened OOB, but the ref clearly says "Table!" and then makes the fist to the head signal. With 1:53 left in the first the wrestlers go OOB and Meyer stays in a collapsed position for a few seconds. Hard to watch. Then, at 1:16 left in the first Meyer moves to his left, ends up OOB and drops to the mat. . . at this point I'm begging for somebody to put an end to this match. Throw in the towel. The party's over. The wrestler won't make that decision. And, I'm guessing the wrestler may be incapable of making that decision. That's why we have coaches and trainers. Three match stoppages within 1 minute and 20 seconds of match time . . . why? Injury or no injury? The unknown nature of what's happening should be a flag. Err on the side of caution. End the match.
Cactus wrestling said a Cornell team insider told them Shapiro didn't have a concussion he just wrestled poorly. Also pretty disgusted Meyer & Ramirez ducked Chittum & Carr at Collegiate Duals after wrestling earlier. Robbing fans of big matches doesn't grow our sport. Haines NEVER ducks
I realize CTE is a problem with long term NFL players, but wrestling?? Never in my 40 years around and in wrestling has there been a concussion protocol?? Were supposed to be the toughest of the tough.. It shouldn't be an issue.. maybe for a 15 year NFL middle linebacker but wrestling???
