I’m sure you can sell it once you restore it. And if not it is a pretty sweet ride! In the meantime I’ll be enjoying watching you make it pretty again!
My favorite bike if all time. Rode mine for over 10 years before a "mechanic" messed it up. Riding a FJR 1300 now. I still prefer the turbo. Also, the fuel petcock is easily turned while sittinng on the bike. Never had to use pliers.
Fun bikes, I've had mine for 5 years now and have found if you double tap the warning button on the dash, the battery light will stop flashing for the key cycle, and these bikes hate sitting, no matter how nice the conditions. I drain my fuel tank before storing since they like to fill the cylinders with gas either through the petcock or the fuel return system. only found that out since I was lucky to get a service manual with mine.
Did you think about draining oil again and check for shavings before putting more money into it? Btw, for me yellow is the perfect colour for this bike.
Pretty cool bikes but they dont seem very collectable..People dont seem to want them..I have a chance to buy one for a decent price it almost seems like I'd be buying a headache..
I imagine that you figured it out, but it didn't sell because the yellow color is horrid and your price was way too high (even for one in great cosmetic condition with excellent paint). I owned four of these in the 1980s and have collected vintage cycles for the past 25 years.
It’s about time you made a video.. The shorts don’t quite cut it.
6:58 MG B GT (MG is the manufacturer, B is the model and GT is the variant).
It's good to see a video from you! I'm looking forward to the video when you replace that windshield! It drives me nuts every time!
I'm from 1983, so I'll be watching the whole resto!
I think the car was an MGB GT. I had a British friend in HS and he had a couple of them.
Looking forward to seeing you make this one nicer again…

So stoked!!! I'll be doing the same to mine along with you. Your such a huge help!
I hate selling bikes and cars. Really shows you how dumb most people are.

Kawasaki 2 stroke?
Dude your killing it. Drain the dang oil.
Why?

Those were quick even the NA xj650 was fast
Is it a Suzuki GT 750 sitting in your garage?;)
Three cylinder 2-stroke? Either a Kawi or Suzuki then. Shot in the dark, I'll guess a GT550.
This bike will be a Good Cafe Racer or a Scrambler

Brand new Yamaha Turbos they sold for $2,500 in CA. 👍😒
how wild would it be if you turned that thingh into a cafe racer
Are you sure you won't take that toaster for it? I'm afraid you're going to hurt yourself on it.
