I love watching the little guy taking this all in....this will be a memory he will still have when he is an old man. Good times he had with his family boiling crawfish and learning how to do it. You can tell he very much wants them to let him take part directly in some way of the process.....kids are just fantastic.

We get crawfish at the river in my husband’s hometown in Mexico and truly enjoy boiling them at the rivers edge. I need to take Louisiana seasoning mix to them so it can taste as delicious as these. I'm a rocky mountain boy but I lived in Lafayette, LA for a couple of years. Though the south just isn't my home and I don't belong there, the few crawfish boils I've been to will never, ever be forgotten. These are really, really good people with really really good strong family values and really , really good food. God bless America; all of us! My time in Louisiana was pure Lagniappe!

I would rinse without the added salt. I never use salt when purging, doesn't work tbh (also already been researched at LSU). If you want really clean crawfish, steam em.
In Sweden in August we have crayfish parties with crayfish cooked with dill and a shitload of salt. Served chilled and devoured along with a large amount of strong beverages :)
I mean it looked good and all but some of the methods they did I wouldn't recommend like when purging your supposed to leave them in longer and do it until the water is clear then don't pour the dirty water into the pot your using to cook them in. They just put all that dirty water into the boil
No they didn't. The dirty water ran out of the holes in the basket then they lowered the basket into the pot. Also, this video was edited so you don't actually know how long they let them purge for, i don't let mine purge for very long, only as long as it takes my corn and 'taters to soften (i cook them first for each batch).
I am truly amazed that it was prayer time before ur meal, I love seeing family come together n any kind of meal, I haven't had any in a very long time watching this make me want some, be blessed in JESUS NAME. Now I can dream about crawfish🙄

We like ours spicy, so we use way more crawfish boil than that. We also add lemons, limes, garlic, onions, beer and sausage.
