I always grew up in small towns where they did not receive all channels yet so there was one channel with entertainment. One of which was America's Funniest Home Videos. Thanks Bob. You are the man!
I did a show on WHFR 89.3 FM in 1995 called "The Sunday Country Stroll". We had Jill's album "No Regrets" (I also have a copy). I interviewed Jill in late May of '95 and I did ask her about doing the theme song to "America's Funniest Home Videos". She kinda knew I was gonna bring that up.
We've got laughs from coast to coast To make you smile Real life flubs of each of you To capture all that style And you're the red, white, and blue The fun and things you do America, America, this is you Stories from friends next door They never told You might be a star tonight So let that camera roll And you're the red, white, and blue All the fun and things you do America, America, this is you!
I love Jill's voice! ❤ She's what made the original theme so memorable and Bob's stint as host the best! Okay...I'll be real...Bob's jokes were tritely tiresome and lame, however, his voiceover narratives that accompanied the clips are what made them amusing - even before the climaxes! 😊
I loved him, i couldnt wait for the show to start so i can laugh and watch Bob Saget. even the show wasnt the same after him. RIP Bob. Your big fan from North Macedonia, Europe
Now THIS is the TRUE America's Funniest Home Videos Bob Saget will forever be known as the KING of Home Videos God Bless You Sir and Thank You for your contributions to the entertainment industry, R.I.P. Mr. Tanner
I stopped watching this show the day Bob stopped hosting it. He was the best host and the did the best voice overs. I'd wish they'd run a marathon of when Bob first started hosting the show, till his final show.
RIP.
She co wrote "I'm Gonna Be Somebody" by Travis Tritt and "Noone Else On Earth by Wynonna. She also coukd be heard diring this time on Toyota commercials.
It is the late, great Charlie O'Donnell, the first announcer of the game show _Wheel of Fortune._ At the beginning of the game show, the audience would chant "Wheel...of...Fortune!"
Does anyone have the song The Lasting Kind performed by Jill Colucci and James P. Dunne? lyrics I can’t believe I’m really here beside you A dream I thought I’d never realize Words just can’t explain what I feel inside of me From this moment on my heart belongs To no one else but you Dreams have a way of coming together And the one I wanted most is coming true My heart is feeling lighter than a feather When you look at me it’s plain to see That we were meant to be Just let this feeling last forever They say true love is just too hard to find If ever we’re lost we’ll find our way together I’m going to stay around Because the love we found So few could ever find… The lasting kind I can’t remember what I did without you The best part of my life has just begun All I ever do is think about you So let’s make a vow Right here and now And together we’ll see it through Chorus Music by Jimmy Dunne Lyrics by Norman Saleet
That was just the original studio audio recording, with Jill lip synching & the other guys just pretending to play their instruments. Look at the drums. Listen to Jill's voice here, and then go search "AFV saget theme clear", and tell me it's not the same exact audio track
it wouldnt surprise me if that were the case but the drummer is absolutely playing. You can see him making contact with the hi hats and snare. You can easily muffle a guitar but not so much drums.
No, that would have been very expensive to hire her for every episode, especially since she was seen on camera all of one time, and also technically complicated to set everything up for a minute-long song for every episode. She sang it once in the studio and that's what was used every week.
It's very common for TV. Far less work for the technical crew to have to deal with, guaranteed perfect studio quality sound, and all the performer has to do is open and close their mouth at the right time.
In Remembrance to
Bob Saget the American stand-up comedian, actor, television host, and director.
(born: May 17, 1956 - died: January 9, 2022)
The National Anthem for us 90s kids!
This is nostalgic! This should of stayed with America funniest videos just stayed with lyrics
Nostalgic 🤧
I’m so glad Jill looks exactly like she sounds :-D
You right 😂😂😂 Exactly like I thought she looked, lol
She sounds shiny. Must be related to Edward Cullen.
That she is so very glad:)
@@maestrobjwa90 - She still sounds exactly like this now. Only her hair is different 🙂
In Memoriam. Bob Saget RIP Thanks for laughs in 90s. Will never forget you.
I enjoy Jill Colucci's theme song of AFHV better then the new version! Never tired of hearing this song!
the theme song for the new seasons is lame. i wish ABC would bring her back
Not lame It Sucks 😔.
I agree with you.
This video makes me sad. It feels like just yesterday this was the world we were living in and in the blink of an eye it's gone.
Back when we heard the sound of a saxophone coming from nowhere.
It was 9/11. That was the tipping point. It's when the West became irreparably cynical.
I know what you mean but at least we got to live it
Yeah we had it good back then.
I feel the same. Just seems like life was more like life back in those days
I always grew up in small towns where they did not receive all channels yet so there was one channel with entertainment. One of which was America's Funniest Home Videos.
Thanks Bob. You are the man!
Should use this in tribute to Bob Saget, God rest his soul
That's what I commented on another video. Why have we lost so many legends lately? :(
ua-cam.com/video/1nu9PEou3eg/v-deo.html
Imaging if Nicole or Amber had sung this on the Masked Singer.
In loving memory of Bob Saget.
Rest in Peace, Bob

This is one of my favourite original theme songs of AFHV, also rest in peace, Bob Saget.
We've got laughs from coast to coast
To make you smile
Real life flubs of each of you
To capture all that style
And you're the red, white, and blue
The fun and things you do
America, America, this is you
Stories from friends next door
They never told
You might be a star tonight
So let that camera roll
And you're the red, white, and blue
All the fun and things you do
America, America, this is you!
Ladies and gentlemen Bob Saget
A real live look* at each of you
The Funny Things You Do*
What a beautiful voice Jill has
I love Jill's voice! ❤ She's what made the original theme so memorable and Bob's stint as host the best!
Okay...I'll be real...Bob's jokes were tritely tiresome and lame, however, his voiceover narratives that accompanied the clips are what made them amusing - even before the climaxes! 😊
YES!!!
Bob was the best had a beautiful smile seemed positive most of the time sad he was taken unexpectedly at age 65 😭🥺😔💐
The drummer is loving it.

Bob Saget will definitely be missed and remembered!!!
Before Vine, before UA-cam, before TikTok... we had AFV.
Now THIS is the TRUE America's Funniest Home Videos
Bob Saget will forever be known as the KING of Home Videos
God Bless You Sir and Thank You for your contributions to the entertainment industry, R.I.P. Mr. Tanner
It's nostalgia like this that makes me think after I leave the simulation I'm like "Run it again."
Every Sunday night, this was the way to summon the family for an hour…memories from a bygone era…
Jill Colucci did a fantastic job here!
She’s an amazing singer
5Bye Far the best Intro to Americas Funniest home videos. And this was the best version period
Wow Jill looked exactly how I used to pitcure her singing this! She was a cutie!
God this song brings back too many memories
Rip Bob :(
RIP Bob Saget! He made AFV!
I stopped watching this show the day Bob stopped hosting it. He was the best host and the did the best voice overs. I'd wish they'd run a marathon of when Bob first started hosting the show, till his final show.
I love this theme song 🥰
Love it!!!!
Rest In Peace Bob Saget

This Version of the theme will always be the best
And to think we will never hear an announcer introduce Bob Saget ever again! We miss you already Bob! 😭😭😭☠
That announcer was Charlie O’Donnell instead of Ernie Anderson.
this song has no right to go this hard. She nailed it
The best AFHV
back when videos from America was fun... now a days tho...
Enjoy the moment you live in now because you will miss it soon.
I’m here for tributing bob saget he passed away yesterday
ABC needs to bring her back to sing the theme song for the newer seasons.
She co wrote "I'm Gonna Be Somebody" by Travis Tritt and "Noone Else On Earth by Wynonna. She also coukd be heard diring this time on Toyota commercials.
I love those tracks too!
“I love what you do for me….Toyota….” 🎶 🙂
Also sounds like Charlie O'Donnell filling in for Ernie Anderson.
It is the late, great Charlie O'Donnell, the first announcer of the game show _Wheel of Fortune._ At the beginning of the game show, the audience would chant "Wheel...of...Fortune!"
R.I.P., Bob Saget.
I remember watching these reruns late on ABC Family. RIP Bob Saget 🪦💐
Damn, ska punk has always been awesome.
She really is a good singer !!!
I always wondered who sang this. Thanks for posting.
She also did Something's Happening Here on ABC and America's Watching ABC promos
And the old Toyota slogan: "I love what you do for me..." 😊
Jill is awesome!
RIP Bob Saget
Rip 🪦 Bob Saget
A part of the 90s died with Mr. Saget.
Lol the opening drum fill is out of sync with the live playback.
Amigo Bob siempre te recordaré con esta música.
This is not for bragging but when I was I BUDS the Lt, used to play this threw the loud speaker every time we did a mistake.
Does anyone have the song
The Lasting Kind performed by Jill Colucci and James P. Dunne?
lyrics
I can’t believe I’m really here beside you
A dream I thought I’d never realize
Words just can’t explain what I feel inside of me
From this moment on my heart belongs
To no one else but you
Dreams have a way of coming together
And the one I wanted most is coming true
My heart is feeling lighter than a feather
When you look at me it’s plain to see
That we were meant to be
Just let this feeling last forever
They say true love is just too hard to find
If ever we’re lost we’ll find our way together
I’m going to stay around
Because the love we found
So few could ever find…
The lasting kind
I can’t remember what I did without you
The best part of my life has just begun
All I ever do is think about you
So let’s make a vow
Right here and now
And together we’ll see it through
Chorus
Music by Jimmy Dunne
Lyrics by Norman Saleet
Perfect❤
God I miss female vocals sounding like this!
1991, Sonic The Hedgehog Launched On Genesis, Game Gear And Master System.
_T2_ was the #1 Movie of the Year and _The Silence of the Lambs_ won Best Picture
The time before UA-cam

Kids this day won’t remember that old catchy theme song
They need to bring back this theme alfanso talk to the producers
Work queen, I thought this was sung by Bonnie Tyler
her voice reminds me of Rogue from the 1992 X-Men cartoon.
OH man Who Knew? LOVE THE CALOOOOOOCH!!!
0:51-0:54 - *Charlie O'Donnell **_(Wheel of Fortune_** announcer):* Ladies and gentlemen, Bob Saget!
Wt..a..stylish...song..I love..AMERICA..
Wonder if Charlie & Jill ever met in real life.
FYI, the announcer was Charlie O'Donnell.
yep the legendary voice of Wheel of Fortune
0:21 everyone in that video submission is dead now
That’s Charlie O’Donnell substituting for Ernie Anderson.
Didn't she also sing two ABC promos from 1989 to 1991?
She sang a LOT of promos all over the place.
AFV, the original fail montage.
Or the granddaddy of all internet videos.
Wow, she looks like Joy Behar. Also, where is the saxophonist at 0:47 ?
Hey, don't take the bassist, guitarist and trumpetist out of the equation just because the saxophonist isn't there 🤣
Did she sing this live during every taping?
I am not sure. Despite she lip-synced it to the recording.
No, that would have been very expensive to hire her for every episode, especially since she was seen on camera all of one time, and also technically complicated to set everything up for a minute-long song for every episode. She sang it once in the studio and that's what was used every week.
She did this live every week?
No
@@MattJr4793 Yes she did
Airdate?
Season 2 Episode 13 January 6th 1991
Modern AFHV needs a revamp of this song! Instrumental is so boring!
I'm sure that is her voice, but was she lip synching?
Probably, but honestly lip syncing is ok for music videos or most other visual recordings, but for concerts, ppl will most likely know.
I hate the fact that she's lip syncing 😮
