"We gotta put the bottom skid plate on. I'm going to do that real quick."
Yeah right. You left out the best part where we could listen to you screaming and cussing.
Larry Campbell ha! You know that’s right!
Thanks! I just picked one of these up at an auction and will be changing all fluids and filters before putting it into service as a utility vehicle for an underground gold mine; this video was helpful.
Glad I could help!
Helpful video. Thanks. I agree with another comment that it was much easier for me to use my oil extractor. The oil filter is very hard to reach behind the battery. I got fed up, disconnected and pulled the battery out for access. The larger HST filter is incredibly stubborn to remove on the first 50-hour service. I however did not replace the smaller filter until both were off for leverage and access to the larger forward filter. I too noticed no drop in UDT fluid level in the transmission and a bit more than a quart required at the front tank. Worth mentioning: don't forget to grease the zerk fittings on the suspension A-arms --- maybe greased at the factory or dealer PDI, but maybe not. Very few UA-cam videos on the X1140 which is peculiar.
Thank you! I agree. I need to do a followup grease and fluid top off video.
Great video Tim, changing my fluids today and was scratching my head on some of the fill and filter locations. Thanks!
Good luck! I need to lube mine and hope to have a video on that soon!
Great video - i'm gonna be getting one of these eventually. Thanks for sharing!
My pleasure! Take care.
Thanks so much for a very easy to understand tutorial. Just took delivery Friday 7/24/20 of a new RTV X1100c so will need to do the 50 hour service in a bit. All the Best, Gregg
Glad it helped! Good luck and enjoy your awesome machine. Take care Gregg!
Very nice tutorial. I hope you are all staying healthy.
Thank you very much and you all as well!
Great video on the kubota!
Cooper Family Homestead thank you!
Thanks Tim. Great video
Thank you.
Pretty awesome tutorial.
Thanks Sunnie!
Great video many thanks
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks!
You have to be careful. I have seen the hydraulic fluid over filled many times in the fire service. The reason it is under the front seat, is because it should be checked with all hydraulics contracted. When extended, there is more fluid in them and that is why the tank level will be lower.
Thank you very much!!!
Thanks for sharing
Thank for watching. Have a great day!
Thank you
You're welcome!
Thanks for the great video. Just a heads up, your HH150 link isn't working anymore. Might want to update it so you aren't missing out on the revenue :)
Thanks for the info!
Nice video, I agree with Terry, didn't quite get those part numbers, you think you could post them in comments. Also a video on lubrication for the RVT1140 would be nice
I updated the part number on your last comment and the description. I will have to do one on Lubrication for sure!!! Thx!
jeez I can only dream about owning one of those. Someday
They sure make quick work of chores!
I use a fluid extractor for the engine oil... waaay easier then having to drop skid plate
Great idea! Thx!
Problem it will not get 100% out and the bung seizes on if not used. The bung has a magnet that needs cleened too. I slap a powerful magnet on the filter body which works too.
@@conmanumber1 cool idea.
@@jaytomson7052 Jay, at the hardware store in kitchen joinery hardware there are really strong magnets the size of a coin. They hurt if snapped on fingertips by accident
They are used to close drawers and cupboard doors.
Awesome video, looking to get a kubota RTV our local kubota dealer doesn’t have any he said prob be in June they will have some.
Love love mine. Not a speed demon though.
Where did you get the storage bag behind the seat? We get our delivered tomorrow and I bookmarked the video for reference. Thank you
Thanks! I ordered from Amazon

What did you use to fill the hydraulic tank? After changing the filters on my kubota it was completely empty. Which I thought was weird. Thank you for the video too, very helpful.
That’s weird. I used the oem oil super UDT2.
Informative video. I have the same machine in Camo. I have noticed more of a buzzing or humming sound when I start it colder weather here in Michigan that comes from the rear of the machine. Any ideas. I can send a video.
Have you cleaned the arrestor? There are instructions on it (muffler).
What is with the two OIL fill caps on top of the motor. The one you used to fill the motor oil then there is a second one a few inches away but on a lower spot.
Chris, sorry for the delay. I really don't know. I have only used the top one.
How do you like that hitch, I think it is a design flaw that they have the receiver mounted so low.
Yeah wish higher but works well.
Great video. What made you get a Kubota instead of Kawasaki or John Deere or Honda 500?
Love the hydraulic dump bed and tractor like reliability!
Why didn’t you drain the hydraulic fluid when you changed the filters?
It didn’t call for it. Fluid will last a long time.
Hi. Amsoil filters and oils exceeds all factory specifications and out perform all. Will Kubota accept this?, I use Amsoil as i hate having oil lying around farm.
Hmm not sure! I may swap after the warranty run out. I know it really doesn’t matter but like to stay with it. I’m a sucker.
Nice job.... I was looking to see if you damaged a soloniod or something on the rear end lol
Ha! No. This isn't my first rodeo!
@@RidgeLife you're a pro.... At least in video you are
@@HomesteadingNorthernMichigan Ha! I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express!!!
@@RidgeLife that one went right over my head lol
I imagine it's a commercial lol
Are you still happy with your machine? I am considering going from a Honda Pioneer 1000-5 to the RTV - 1140. Thanks
Love it! Well over 1000 miles now.
The fluid you lost during filter change will not show until you run the hydraulics to fill the filters up
Good point!
Hi Tim, I do have a question regarding the trans filters, I getting a different part number on the suction filter (yellow) HHK 32-16770 is the part number I'm getting from my Kubota dealer, you were a little fast on reading those numbers, but none of them sounded like this part number, the other two were correct
I got these from the Dealer as well. They provided the following: Engine Oil-HH150-32094, Large Hyd- HH3A0-82623 and Small Hyd- HHK70-14073. I see what you mean though as when I search Messicks, they list a different model for Hyd. Weird. They user manual doesn't list the part numbers unfortunately. I will have to confirm on my next oil change. Please let me know if you find out otherwise! Thx
Does anyone know where the oil pressure switch is?
Hmm no sorry!
Does this mean you can rip through the woods on another live?
Ha! Not yet. This was filmed before the rear end issue but will be back at it soon! Thx
decided after watching your video to do mine 1120, 2021 model. I ran into a problem as the small filter was fine, but the larger was a bitch. Had to go to Napa to buy another filter wrench. I could not get initially, the larger without taking off the smaller. ( a lot of fluid lost as a result) my old wrench and my new one would not allow me to attack the filter from the bottom, just the center area due to the configuration of the filter tool. I had to attack it from the center as a result, very little area to work with. Could you please tell your model or exact type of filter wrench used. The issue I found was the silver colored inlet or outlet metal tube caring hydro fluid would prevent my wrench from grabbing the filter as yours did. Hopefully this makes some sense. Thanks, Robert TN
Sorry. I got it at auto-zone though.
You do know you can put that dump bed in float mode and pick it up manually
Yes ma'am. Pretty cool feature thank for mentioning it!
I do y recall u pulling the transmission filter off 🤔
I did oil and two hyd filters.
Hey brother, my headlights are not working but every other light in the dash is working would you know why does it have a relay or fuse?
@@sergiorangeljr9160 sorry man. I sure don’t. No issues here so far.
I can see you doing stuff, but there are no captions so I have no idea what is happening. I see a big red funnel. Are you making funnel cake with all that oil?😂
Ha! Some people actually listen to the videos instead of laughing at how Google translates my hillbilly dialect. LOL!
@@RidgeLife 😂😂I'm not "some people".
Tim, how about reading the filter numbers faster, and then please don't list them in the comments. :-/
(Tough crowd...) :-)
Ha! Sorry about that!
@@RidgeLife We love our x1140 also. Thank you for the video.
I updated them in the description. Sorry for late notice. These were from the dealer as some have said their dealer gave them different parts numbers for the hyd filters. Please let me know what you used?
