Superb job! I used to love seeing parcels trains in the 70’s and 80’s when I was spotting - such a great variety of NPCCS around the country with LMS BG’s on the Western, Southern PMV’s at Crewe, etc. Didn’t know about this one though! An unusual prototype but well worthy of a such unique model.
Not many photos around of parcel/postal trains, I guess because they mostly ran at night. They are one of my fascinations. Got quite a lot of material on them. My mate Bryan feeds my interest as well. He was heavily involved from the late 70's onwards. Being an avid spotter, he recorded many interesting things whilst working for BR at the time.
Your channel gets even better with a class 52 Western 👍🏻My favourite diesel locomotive even though I'm from Manchester. There was just something about them I loved. Saw them all bar 1058 Nobleman ☹️ Take care and cheers for some fantastic modelling tips. It's got me going again on my layout lol 😂 Stevie.
What a great video and demonstrates your knowledge of the railways AND your skills. This would be totally beyond me and I would be completely hesitant have a go st this from fear of screwing it up. Thanks for sharing👍
I've been watching your videos for a while. As you model the era that I also model, as well as a bit of SR 1930s, that's the green stuff. You know your stuff and do some wonderful modelling. I have a question for you, is Railmatch Rail Blue paint as good as any to use as I find Precsion paints a bit to 'Blue'
Railmatch is easily accessible to me as the local model shop stocks it. Like the yellow, I find it needs an undercoat of something similar in matt for it to stick and cover. The again, my painting skills are probably a bit archaic and need updating!! Only use Precision paints occasionally as I don't have much in stock, availability? Something I'll change?
Your channel is so interesting and informative. It really makes me want to attempt some of your work. Love it.
Thank you 👍

Charlie I might have mentioned somewhere else, I read a lot of books and listen hard to people I’ve worked with. Acquired knowledge!
Could be one of your best👍

Also going to be doing some off era stuff soon as well, just to broaden my horizons, not sure what I’ll do with it after though??
