She did an outstanding job, the house and gardens are beautiful. I've been a Grey Garden fan since I discovered the Maysles documentary in the 80's - I adored Big Edie and Little Edie. You've done Grey Garden justice. Thanks for this exciting tour.
I think my favorite part of the whole episode is the fact that Liz complained about how the spirit of the Hapmton's she grew up with has been replaced by gaudy developments and yet here she is with the gaudiest, tackiest, least respectful renovation in East Hampton. And by the way- the tiles in the sunroom that she said are original to the house are NOT the original tiles. They were square, not octagonal. Trash with money.
Thank you for sharing Grey Gardens with us. It is stunningly beautiful. I think little edie would absolutely love it. I love all the color and pattern.

Great energy and vitality have swept in bringing color, beautiful fabric, animal patterns, bric-a-brac and a quirky elegance that manages to convey comfort, warmth and hospitality. The gardens are life affirming and joyous. So very well done!!

I love love love how Liz not only restored everything that she could, but that she also added her own touches. Whereas, some people that buy an old home with history just gut it completely and turn it into an awful modern home that looks nothing like it did originally. I am so happy that Liz honored the home's past this way. Thank you LIz!!!

The amount of water these gardens need. The vanity yet complexity of some people. The beauty of objects, patterns, and colours. There is so much to handle and absorb in these videos. They make me anxious.
When Ben Bradlee and Sally Quinn owned it, I watched a small tour and it was just a lovely home. They completely saved the home and restored it beautifully. This iteration has missed a few taste steps.

I like many things about this design but also a lot that I don’t care for but everyone has their own style and that’s what makes it their home! I am truly just happy that this house and the history is still standing!!

Beautiful. I loved the collections. The gardens. Being Italian I love Italian glass and the colours. Such a vibrant artistic home, every detail was beautiful. It made my heart happy and I felt joy just appreciating everything. It might not suit other peoples tastes, but Liz did say she adores colour. And so do I. Why not? We only live one life and it does not need to be grey.
It's very palm beach. I expect to see Lily Pulitzer to come bounding down the stairs. I love that she's fearless so that makes me like it. Kind of Iris Apfel.
Love everything about this home. Especially the kitchen area. Really appreciate the time and effort and finances put into it making everything top notch, and honoring the old while being true to their own tastes and preferences. And I really enjoyed Ms. Lange's narrative.
This is a dream come True! This is the first time she is giving a real look inside after she bought it and doing the gut renovation. Before this it was in very original condition being bought from little edie herself and alot of the original furniture renovated. As a huge GG fan i have been waiting years for seeing this new chapter.
I love the funky ecclectic style! I didn't think I would. But every detail is creative and has meaning. I really love the bathroom! The sink handles are amazing! It does work, especially when you think this isn't a museum, it's a space that has all the things the homeowner loves and it is really fun! It's fascinating to look at! All the details. Besides, the next owner one day can come in and have more subdued taste and it will also look beautiful! I totally get the concept of restoring and preserving a place while making it your own special place that suits your taste and is exciting to be in!

Quite the display of wealth! Can’t imagine what their other houses look like! Reminds me of the gilded age and the Vanderbilts.
exactly wow, rich out of their minds
I love love love how Liz not only restored everything that she could, but that she also added her own touches. Whereas, some people that buy an old home with history just gut it completely and turn it into an awful modern home that looks nothing like it did originally. I am so happy that Liz honored the home's past this way. Thank you LIz!!!
Gorgeous space! Not everyone’s cup of tea, but her keen eye made it gorgeous ! Not everyone is capable of that!
The outside and gardens look beautiful. Not a fan of the indoor decorating but everyone has to make their home what makes them happy.
Agree.
Agreed. It’s too much and very overwhelming
Well, that’s a beauty of interior design… She loves it and that’s what matters!❤
@@Lisa-sp5if looks like you didn't pass remedial reading
Agreed. Thankful someone restored it, but would have preferred it to be in keeping with the time it was built.
What a beautiful home. I love how colorful it is. Seeing this makes me want to watch Grey Gardens again.
Thank you for saving this iconic home. It appears well loved and lived in. Beautiful tour.
The Bradley's saved that house ; she just tweaked it .
Love Liz and her revamp of GG❤
Liz is one of the sweetest, most kind people ever. Her energy is amazing
I'm sure she's an amazing person, but her style is awful. Try to explain it all you want, but this could have been so much more on the interior.
@@princessblackie8350 her style is just that. STYLE. And if people don’t like it. They probably have none
@@dddddadadad1796 I couldn't agree with you more, I Love her style, I wouldn't change a thing.
@@sugarintheraw2938 thank you!
Such a high energy woman; I LOVE HER! And her home is an eclectic masterpiece of fun.
I think this restoration of GG is brilliant and the juxtaposition of colours, materials, collections and styles is bold and confident.
What fun. It’s beyond fantasy for me. I can’t get a contractor to lay even a single piece of tile straight, so what this woman had done is truly amazing. Love the trim, moldings, and the windows. Very nice kitchen too. Simple elegance!
I think it all works perfectly!!! Definitely a lot of of fun and absolutely beautiful. I think it's really cool that she knows exactly what she wants. What a dream home.
Beautiful home! Loved how your personality shone throughout the house. And thank you for taking us on a tour of Grey Gardens!
I saw the documentary on Grey Gardens & have a book too, fascinating! I’m glad the home & gardens were saved & restored. Beautiful & the gardens are just Heaven! ❤
Good for you, you’re clearly enjoying the house! The gardens are stunning and have little moments of surprise. Have a great summer!
I’m absolutely in love with how fabulous you have transformed Gray Gardens ! Love the colorful happy vibe throughout ! Thanks for sharing and inspiring us !
I am IN LOVE with every single inch of that place…the prints the colors the boldness and femininity 😍
Beyond dreamy🥰
What a wonderful tour! The best!! Thankyou…..I LOVE this house. I really appreciate the maximalist colourful styling. Not my style but …. I get it. It isn’t boring, it has personality and I would feel like I know something about the owner by seeing this home. You would always feel welcome and ready to have fun in this home. Bravo.
The amount of water these gardens need. The vanity yet complexity of some people. The beauty of objects, patterns, and colours. There is so much to handle and absorb in these videos. They make me anxious.
I watched grey garden’s documentary because of this episode. I felt like Liz fulfilled little Eddie’s dream.
Thank you for inviting us into your home….love the vibrant color pallet…so fun and unique…such an inspiration
She's fabulous! And she has done a great job with the house and gardens. I appreciate that she preserved some of the history.
Love the exterior of the home and the gardens. Everything else inside the home was... a bit exhausting.
When Ben Bradlee and Sally Quinn owned it, I watched a small tour and it was just a lovely home. They completely saved the home and restored it beautifully. This iteration has missed a few taste steps.
@@maddiek1980 Agreed. It was much better when the Bradlee's owned it. This is much to gaudy now.
Completely agree! I feel drained watching this episode….
I love it! It has an Alice In Wonderland/Hamptons/Palm Beach Vibe. I also adore layers and layers of color, pattern, modern, vintage and classic! Absolute Eye Candy🍭💠🍬🌸
agree...and I lean more towards maximalist (it just has to be done right...and not over done in every room)...too much. lovely gardens though.
The Summer Room.... and all the details you brought and used from the past. Love the colors and patterns and the recreated plaster palms. So beautiful! Well done!
I am a huge fan of the women of Grey gardens!
They were the epitome of old east Hampton and what can happen to a woman in that Era of the man being the Boss!!
I like many things about this design but also a lot that I don’t care for but everyone has their own style and that’s what makes it their home!
I am truly just happy that this house and the history is still standing!!
What a magical 50 minutes I just spent with this lovely woman! Thank you!
Fabulous Fabulous Fabulous!!! The flowers over fireplace mantle are chefs kiss 🤌🏽
Liz is ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTFUL ! What an adorable lady so generous and sweet to be showing us her house.
If I'm ever in the area I would love to thank her in person !
I LOVE this-the gardens, the house and especially Liz’s personality and presentation of it all. Thank you!
YES!
So much work went into restoring this beautiful home. I love a great renovation of old homes.
I feel that Little Edie was a good soul and that you made the beautiful dream world of her mind a reality, Liz Lange. You can feel her inner vibrance displayed in every room. I feel you captured the heart of this house. Everything sings like Big Edie! I really enjoyed this.
That house is amazing! Kudos to Liz for her vision and being able to execute it. That’s a dream house… a blessing;)
I have watched so many of these this has to be my absolute favorite of all thank you so much for sharing your home with us. You’ve done a wonderful job.
Personally, I like the fact that everything is so eclectic and not so obvious. Seems like a fun place to me. Not stuffy at all.
So Long Island summer and exquisitely precious home. Thank you for sharing your home, what a treat for us viewers.
Love the documentary, I think it was so sad . It’s great to see the house come alive again!💜
I love all the color inside and out. It's light, breezy, whimsical, and a happy place. Fabulous!!
There is nothing that I don't love. The colors, the patterns, art, dishes, furniture, flowers... ❤
Beyond words!!! Beautiful, gorgeous, original, amazing and magical only scratch the surface!!! Thank you for sharing your masterpiece 👍👍💕😃💕 I’m sure the Bouvier Beales would be elated!!!
What a treat to see Liz Lange share her labor of love in restoring Grey Gardens. She is incredibly talented and I feel like I should have paid admission to have her give this personal tour. Absolutely incredible!
Ms. Liz Lange thank you for sharing your outstandingly beautiful East Hampton house and all the intimacies with all of us that enjoy and like interior design/gardening and home renovations. You are a lovely, amicable, sweet, intelligent woman with a unique taste. Happy Summer 2024 and all the best.
One of, it not THE most lovely house and decorating I’ve seen on this channel💚
It just kept getting better and better for me🤭💯💚
