Matapōuri is one of the most iconic picture perfect in the country, known for its beautiful white sand beaches and clear waters. Over the past few decades, it has become more and more popular for visiting tourist from outside. This growing popularity has not come without effects on the environment and ecosystem, leaving the guardians of the whenua only one option.
