Fantastic video. Thanks Captain Mark. My brother is getting wed in Cyprus in October (flying to Paphos with Easyjet from Manchester) and my 87 year old Nan who is terrified of flying is coming. I've shown her the previous one and will show her this later. It's a massive help. Thanks again 👍
Thanks for the video my anxiety is starting to calm down im not really an active traveler but since i moved abroad inhave to flight to see my family and my daughter whenever I’m in the airport or just waiting for the plane I’m shaking a lot of question in my mind about the planes since i watch this video it give me a chill to calm down … shout out to all pilots out there for doing the great job to keep us safe
Another great video - cheers again Glorious Leader. Was talking to a friend yesterday ho has a fear of flying and pointed him in the direction of these videos- such a worthwhile repository of info.
Thank you so much for all those videos! I used to fly from Dubai, Qatar and Turkish airlines with only positive experiences. I have now been in Europe for almost 4 years feeling crazy turbulences and radical turns which may be scary. Could you please cover 3 topics in other videos: how pilots change planes / manufacturers / sizes of planes and how to they get trained for it; turning radically - I understood from some other videos that either Airbus or Boeing are allowing to exceed the max limit of turning while the other one is blocking it; are cheaper airlines investing in “cheaper” and less good pilots or are standards all the same? And maybe a forth point: who is responsible (airline or the airport) for checking the airplane for damage before it takes off? Thanks a lot! There was one more but I need to remember that one later :)
Honestly I would love to have seen this video before my flight to and back from vacation. I think most of the fear of flying is due to how low of survival rate in a crash is. The brain always tries to gauge the worst possible scenario, like some single critical error was made or a critical malfunction occured, for example due to service crew negligence or cutting cost on the ground (or you get shot by some wanker in an AA installment) and then ther is literally nothing you can do to avoid a terrbile fate, while usually having enough time for regretting gettning onboard.
Thanks so much for this valuable information I have a fear of flying and will never fly at night so hence it costs me a lot more to fly during the day. Also the rest of the info was really interesting for me too 🙏🏻
Unfortunately the viedos of air crash has left peoples scared very much.I just watched many of thede videos, but after seeing this viedo i got back my confidence and now ready to fly.
Sir, I was hoping to hear from you about transoceanic flights in particular. There were sevwral things you mentioned, particularly in the first video, for which the solution was to find the nearest airport. But what do you do when youre flying over, say, the Atlantic Ocean?
Excellently explained and very nice video production. I feel much safer flying in a commercial aircraft than driving my car on the motorway, thanks to the dedication and expert competency of Captain Mark and colleagues like him.
Ugh nothing is helping. It’s the climbing on takeoff and settling in. I’ve avoided flying since 2011 but have a short 2hr flight tomorrow. Very nervous. The last week has been nothing up upset stomach and anxiety
@@colingoyette3051 I felt the same having just flown back on Thursday last week. I hate the take off and had practically convinced myself something was going to go wrong. Alas, it didn’t and I’m still here! You’ll be fine!
I was searching for a great video that I've seen in the past about fear of take-off/landing when I stumbled upon this video here, so I'm watching it 😅 but I'm also still afraid of take-off/landing, I just manage it better and get on flights anyway, and I'm fine otherwise, even during turbulence. Knowing FACTS about airplanes and flying helps me a lot.
Thank you so much for making this video. I'm flying for the first time in 8 weeks and absolutely shitting myself, but you have made me feel so much better. about it. Thank you 🫶🏻
Don’t the planes also glide pretty well despite their weight? I feel like people think without engines they’ll plummet. I feel like I heard a story of that where they didn’t have gas somehow or the engines wouldn’t rev fully and a pilot just managed to get over this hill and then make it back to the landing strip. They also had another one where the computer messed up and it made them nose dive and they were able to shut it off and didn’t know what was going on at first but eventually they shut it off and limped back to the airport but the plane survived immense g force when it kept forcing them to dive. And another a passenger noticed a crack on the plane and I think said something or maybe didn’t but the roof or part of the thing ripped off. One lady was sucked out unfortunately but everyone else survived.
Fantastic video. Thanks Captain Mark.

I enjoy flying, but the mother-in-law....ahhh, not so much! I'll be sending this to her. It may help!
My question what happened with Hawaii flight coming within feet of ocean, how can that happen
Cracking video boss
I love these videos.
Mark, are you FNC certified, if so any wild wind stories?
I went in there in a 757 years ago. Got a few mates who e had a fun day out there in the wind so I avoid it!
What about the stabilisers can they break off ? 😅
Has anyone got any further questions? No thought not. Thank you.
is this mark from peep show?
I need my own TCAS I am a clumsy mofo
What if people try to hijack? How easy is it to knock out pilots? This worries me.

I am partially afraid of flying. I am only that way when I am sitting in the cabin.
I was a pilot.
I'm the same way in a car.

I am a terrible flyer, one time the plane plunged suddenly and continued to drop, I was crying and saying goodbye to husband, so what is that about?
