Evan is the theorized name of the crying child. The name was first found in the fnaf security logbook by a redditor after completing the cross words code. So far it is the closest we’ve come to a canon name for the crying child.

Actually there is no confirmed name for the Crying Child. Chris is a fan-made name. The name Evan was brought to light when a theorist on Reddit used the FNAF Survival Logbook to find the name “Evan”. People are very sure this is the name of the Crying Child as it was the same book we found the name Cassidy for “The one your should not have killed”. But again his name has not been confirmed so all we can do is theorize. But everyone is allowed their own opinion 😉
