- अभिनेत्री रेखा ने 1986 में बीबीसी हिंदी सेवा को लंदन में इंटरव्यू दिया था. एक फ़िल्म के लिए उन्हें नेशनल अवॉर्ड मिला था और उस पर रेखा ने कहा था कि उस वक्त वो ऐसे दौर से गुज़र रहीं थी कि फ़िल्म में उनके किरदार में वही नज़र आया. इस इंटरव्यू में उन्होंने मेहदी हसन की एक गज़ल भी गाई. अपनी शादी पर भी खुलकर बातचीत की. आज रेखा का जन्मदिन है. इस ख़ास मौके पर पेश है बीबीसी को दिया उनका ख़ास इंटरव्यू. इंटरव्यू लेने वाले शख़्स का नाम है कृष्ण गोल्ड.

Several years ago, I worked in a reputed hospital in South Bombay, met Rekha when she came to visit another major co-actor hospitalized with cardiac problems.
She was very simply dressed, with no makeup on, looked as gracious then as she does now. Beautiful at heart, both inside and out….
