Yes, shaved ice originated in Hawaii in the early 1900s when Japanese plantation workers brought their traditional dessert, kakigōri, to the islands. The immigrants used tools to shave ice flakes from large blocks and top them with fruit juice or sugar. In Pidgin English, the treat became known as "shave ice" and is also called "ice shave" on Hawaii Island.
different cultures have different versions of things. hawaiian shaved ice is better, its soft not crunchy, has good flavor instead of colored sugar water, and toppings like ice cream, red bean, mochi, condensed milk and fruit. its pretty similar to korean shaved ice, bingsu. i guess i'll put it like this. have you ever tried snacks from another country? like, say, japan. like those flavored kitkats and stuff. that's not traditional japanese food, but a lot of those are ONLY sold in japan, and are specifically japanese even if they're more modern. also korean corndogs which are an entirely different creation from american corndogs and are amazing
I live in Las Vegas. Where's this place located what's the address? Will somebody bring me one to my house please I have no electricity and no water I'll give you a surprise gift
