- Revived Richards Sheffield Pocket Knife. Seems to be a Camp knife, but has only the Spear Blade, Can Opener and Bottle Opener/Screw Driver. Does not look like a fourth tool was broken or removed.
Tools could not be opened without a pair of pliers when I first received it.
Removed the rust and grime. Cleaned out the channels. Polished the blades and bolsters. Worked and oiled the pivots for what seemed like hours to get them hand pull able again. Cleaned and polished the covers.
I think it turned out pretty good.

Superb. ... I had umpteen of those very knives as a kid in the 60's/70's. .... Broke some, lost some! .... Easily replaced and always had one in my pocket. Fun wee knives in good times.
I'm sure they were a staple for many young fellas back then. I know I would have had something similar. I miss the days when you could go to a corner store and buy a pack of cards, a pop, and a pocket knife. Thanks for having a look and commenting. Have a great day!
Excellent example of a classic Richards Scout knife 🔥🙏🏼
Thanks, brother. Are you familiar with a version like this without a fourth tool, or do you think a tool is missing from this one?
Love those spears!! I think you took that clean up to the perfect stopping point. Nice and clean but yet still retains its vintage appearance...👏🏻👌👍 Great video, as always, my brother!! 🤟🙏🇨🇦💪
Thanks my friend. I like the old knives to still show a few of their battle scars. Have a great day! Good girl, Abby!
@@Pocket_EDC 💯👍🤟
Nice work cleaning up that camp knife. Looks good. Can opener is definitely better than before.
Thanks, brother. It's certainly in useable condition now. Have your letter done up. Holiday here tomorrow, so I'll drop it in the mail on Tuesday. Enjoy the rest of your day.
That is absolutely 💯 beautiful. Great 👍 job !!!
Thanks you very much, Steven! I like saving old things from the junk heap. Maybe some kind soul will do that with me some day. 😅 Have an awesome and safe Fourth!!!
Wow, that is looking good. Thanks for sharing and God bless.
Thanks Stan 😊 Thank you for having a look. Have a great day!
Looks great! Enjoy the Holiday tomorrow!!!
Thanks, brother. If you're up here, same to you. If you down south, enjoy next Thursday!
Looks great, you did a really good job cleaning it up. HT uses the same stuff I do to polish our knives, Mothers Mag And Aluminum Polish. I always have a bunch on hand because of the old car, it works magic on old knives. I have to be careful though, it can do too good of a job, I have to know when to stop, if not you will see it from space. Thanks for giving me something to focus on other than coughing, great video Todd, much appreciated.👍🇨🇦🇺🇸
Hopefully you get through this cold soon. Crappy to be sick for the long weekend. I'll look for that polish. I mainly use something that came with my knock-off, Princess Auto Dremel. I have Brasso and Silvo as well. Yes, be careful with that polish. Don't want the gleam too bright. Maybe cover the car next time Elon launches a rocket. 😎🤣 Hope you feel better soon.
Very Nice clean up and save. Boy It was pretty crusty-but no more!
Thanks, brother. I'm pleased with the result. Took a lot of work to get those tools to move freely. Have a great day!
A great looking camp knife!
Thanks, Randy. I enjoy a good camp knife. On the hunt for something in the Boy Scout style. Have a great Sunday!
Fine job shining that up
Thanks and thanks for having a look. Have a great day!
Great knife! I have a Boy Scout Pal from a old neighbor, from the 30's.
Wow! I bet that is an awesome knife and, certainly a significant piece of history! From a knife collector perspective, you are fortunate to have it. Thanks for checking out the video and commenting. Have a great day!
Awesome clean up on a good looking knife brother Todd 👌 👍 😎
I also have one of those, mine has a fish scaler on it!!
Thanks, brother Terry. A fish scaler would be a cool option. I've not found one on-line like this, without a fourth tools. Have a great Sunday.
Good job on that one bud! It came out really nice. Also good job cutting paper on camera. Teach me the ways! Lol
😁😂🤣 I think that was pure luck. Almost tried it with an axe this evening, but thought better. Thanks. I was pleased with how it turned out. Thanks for having a look. Have a great evening.
Where can you get a replacement lanyard ring
I've not found a place so far, though I haven't looked very hard. Perhaps Amazon would have something. With most restorations I see, folks will just buy the appropriate gage wire and make their own. Thanks for having a look.
Very Nice clean up and save. Boy It was pretty crusty-but no more!
Thanks you very much! It wasn’t the worst I’ve tinkered with but, getting those blades moving was a chore. Thanks for having a look.
