misplacednewyawker People make mistakes. Some people have learning disabilities. Be nice. It’s actually more of a problem that you have a need to point it out to everyone.
Really didnt think Pensatucky would be the one to die. I also didnt think back in season one her death would affect me. But I was wrong, her character grew from being someone I hated to one of my favourites. I love this show, and I'm gonna miss it a lot.
This show was amazing at taking people you disliked or even hated and making them not just likeable but even beloved. And vice versa. Characters like Piper were likeable at first but then became so unlikable after a while. Same with Daya, Lorna and Bennet. The writers were great at making assholes understandable and seemingly nice people disliked. Which to me is VERY true to life. Life isn't Black & White or even Grey for that matter. It's a whole goddamned rainbow/spectrum of Grey shades in between Black & White. Life and Human Beings in general are FAR too complex to narrow down to good and bad. Life /People are complex, they are mysterious, they do things sometimes for reasons even they themselves don't understand. And the show does a great job at conveying that truth. The shows not perfect by any means and it IS lacking in a lot of ways. But there's more it does right than wrong. And for all those reasons I love it. 😁
You know it's tear jerking when one of the guards get emotional. But the one missing piece is Romano who sang in Suzanne's place in the season 1 finale.
I just can't NOT cry at this scene. Singing something as simple as a commercial jingle because it was your deceased friend's favorite drink and a source of joy in her life. It might seem like a simple, childish thing, but Suzanne sang it with the passion and heartbreak that made it into something more.
This is so symbolic with Dixon singing with her. The two people in her life who actually care about her well being. 😭😭 Also seeing Red and Freda interacting was nice while it lasted ❤
When she sings "Gimme a Dew!!!" at 1:07 & at 1:53, you can just FEEL the pain in her voice and soul. It's like she's asking God to please give back her friend. It was very brilliantly acted. She needs more awards for this.
Go back and look at Lorna singing at the end. It looks like the first peace she had in a while. Her story and trauma and trauma responses hit me so hard. I like how they revealed it slowly almost to the very end.
I love the character development in OITNB, for me it surpasses most TV programmes ... the writing and the acting is just absolutely superb and true to life . It’s real human stories , it’s life , it’s sad, horrific, bloody wonderful and hilarious all at once . I honestly think parts should be mandatory viewing .
Suzanne are such a strong person, she lost Vee, Poussey, Janae leaving for another prison, Cindy being released, Maureen, Taystee going crazy, Tiffany, Judy King being released. Its just so sad... 💔
Never realised it was so symbolic until I watched it again bc she didn’t sing the first time and I think it shows how much she’s grown up and she’s matured. Rewatched the show and they’re a lot of metaphors like Diaz getting whacked by her mum in the first and last season together powerful stuff. And how we all hated Tiffany in s1 and now we’re crying over her death
This show had me crying like a baby once again when Pennsatucky died. I love how you can tell what a better person she made Dixon, I can just imagine him going home and giving the bear she won a big squeeze and I adored her and Suzanne’s newfound friendship. THE EGG. THE SCENE WHERE TAYSTEE SEEN HER DIPLOMA. MY HEART.
There are possibly a handful of shows that genuinely mad me sad for days in my real life. The ending of OITNB clung to me in such a profound way. This was the epitome of good writing and acting.
This is one of my favorite scenes. It’s powerful, yet full of sadness and grief. Especially after you realize all the stuff that led up to this moment. Notable characters that grew over the course of this series either left, died, got estranged from their loved ones, lost their grip on reality, or have to spend the rest of their lives behind bars. It rips your heart out to see Suzanne put into a position where she feels isolated, and alone. All she wanted was a good friend, and a friendship that was simple and true. Just like the song. It’s quite poetic. It’s understandable that all of us wanted the main cast to succeed in the end, but that’s just how life is. You gotta keep moving forward, no matter what. That’s why I love this show. It’s not afraid to tackle difficult situations.
When she says, "..Give me my good friend..", I feel her pain.. Someone who I loved & cared about passed away Aug 15th, 2019.. I miss him sooooooooo much😣😭😣😭😣😭😣 6/10/56-8/15/2019
I’m still watching This show today and this scene still makes me cry 😢 like a baby 👶 Suzanne was losing everybody and just wanted Cindy and Taystee to make up poor Suzanne and although Dixon done some bad things he made up for it
I cried and cried on this episode I even waved at the end when they were saying good bye I cried when I seen tasty and Susanna at the ending teaching the class I was like oh yessss there back together woohooo but still cried
Lorna in this scene made me ugly cry. She looks so worn down. Nobody should have to experience child loss but her already struggling with mental issues I can't even imagine 😢
Give me a mountain and nothing to do Give me the sunshine give me a Dew Give me something simple and true All I need is sunshine and true refreshing Mountain Dew yeah Give me a river, give me a Dew Give me my good friends, give me a Dew Give me the sunshine, give me a Dew
I didn't cry.. Because I thought it was a regular song at first.. When I realized it was a mountain dew song I couldn't help but laugh from a hearty place
My God, The Grand Ole Opry couldn't hold a Candle to this performance. If this were the UK they would get an Award for "Best Single Performance". The Extras who are Older represent a heartbreaking fact that now more than ever Folks are growing Old in Prison. The Ladies were so good. The "Extras" on Wentworth (Australia) are also great!
blndrndmguy ok Lol, what do you think I was saying about Suzanne after Season 5? Yes Suzanne does deserve A Life Sentence, BUT NOT AT LITCHFIELD! She should be transferred to Bellevue.

No wonder why she won another Emmy for her work. She is truly amazing. I love The Extras. The ones on Wentworth (Australia) and even Bad Girls (UK) have been wonderful as well.
I'm from Peru and I spent two days looking for mountain dew in all the stores and supermarkets I found just to try that soda lol, today I found it, it was fun. And it all started with that oitnb chapter.

This is heartbreaking, Suzanne was losing everyone of her friends this season and you could clearly tell it was effecting her.
"LOSING" is an easy word to spell. How can you make such an obvious spelling error?
@@misplacednewyawker omg really? Do you just go through comments on youtube and correct grammar errors smh #getafuckinglife

Her character arc was phenomenal! I hated her until 7th season!! And in season 7 , we all fell for her
For me, Pensatucky had the best character development.
Ironic how Suzanne became the voice of reason. Trying to keep everything together. Such an amazing character.
No one bringing up the fact Dixon helped Suzanne and sang along with her 😭
You know it's tear jerking when one of the guards get emotional. But the one missing piece is Romano who sang in Suzanne's place in the season 1 finale.
The harmony was on point too.
My true ugly cry moment is when crazy eyes says “ you see, it’s breakfast for dinner for breakfast” and puts the egg on her bed. 😭
My heart melted for that moment as well.
True ugly cry moment for sure
That’s right. She knew she was gone and gave her the egg, ugh, so heartbreaking. She’s such an incredible actress.
“Breakfast for dinner for breakfast” smh tore up my heart
You can really hear the pain in her voice. Cried so much during this.
I sure wish Romano was there. Murphy too.
