Being emotional after all the trauma you've been through is only human. I'm glad you're able to literally release the toxins from your body by releasing the tears. Hugs to you...hoping the best for the home front repairs... Give Bruce tummy tickles.

My heart goes out to you and your family. I’ve been watching since when you started and watched your video when you want out after your father pasted. I lost my Uncle on Christmas Day so I do understand. Don’t apologize for missing someone you love, I’m having a hard time myself and cry a lot “hugs you tight” your an amazing person with a huge heart and you love Brucey so much 😉 he is an amazing dog ❤️ This year has been terrible in so many ways and to add insult to injury property and home damage for you. My prayers and healing white light I send to you all. These are the times that above all need to stay positive and rely on each other. You both and your family will get through this one day at a time with love and faith 🥰❤️ all my prayers and love from the Pocono Mountains, PA 🇺🇸

You are one of the really decent people out there on the net. Your fans can tell, and screw the rest. We are all glad you are okay. Like you said - Bad Year. But you and Bruce made this bad year a little less miserable. Your upbeat optimism and Bruce's boundless energy has helped keep a lot of people's spirits up. Thanks for that.

Sir, Thank you again for these videos which have been instructive, and therapeutic. Sharing your emotions was appreciated for your transparency, humility and grace. I do hope you return to the camp by the sea, this time absent such stormy weather that tested your mettle along with some of the equipment. I appreciate the patience you demonstrate with whatever task is at hand, from setting up to tearing down and all that lies in between. What you say is just as important as what you are doing. Taking what comes and adapting, modifying and overcoming is what you do well while both informing and entertaining us with sights, sounds, and silence. As so many have shared, the sound of rain is soothing offering serenity when other things demand so much from all of us. Bruce is the best companion and fellow adventurer. Stay healthy, stay strong.

Tony,, I thought about you and your dad all night and this morning when I woke up and got on to my computer for another day of work, I started to think of my dad who passed away about 15 years ago. I loved him very much and first introduced me to camping when I was very young. Your tears and wishes that you could have been with him is his legacy to you. And you can rest easy knowing that the winds of changing time and space will once again at some point bring you together again. It will bring us all together. And look at how many people love you and how many of us you reach. I am sure that everyone that took time to make a comment feel like they are your friends and this includes me also. btw, I love the 3 hour videos!!! count one more vote for that!! Cheers my friend!

Having spent the last 25 years in emergency medicine & bring a parent I can tell you this. You have feel bad for not physically being there with your Dad at his passing but he knew you were there with him. You were with him when you could be & I am sure he appreciated that more then you know. Any parent understands when their children grow & start a life & family of their own that becomes their priority, as it should. I am glad you & your family are doing ok & surviving the struggles. Im sure your heart feels better getting that off
Your chest. Thank you for taking a night away & sharing it & Brice with all of us. Continued prayers for you all & your hoke situation. Hopefully everything turns out ok with your insurance company. 🙏🏼♥️

Sending you a big hug Tony. You can become emotional when ever you feel like it. You just do not know how your camp outs got this old lady through the lonely winter months and being shut in because of covid running rampant.
Now with the delta virus, even though I'm vaccinated, I'm still pretty much on lock down, you and Bruce make my day and very lonely evenings.

You were there. Physical presence isn’t “being there” for dying as much as leaving them with love & support. Otherwise those of us who have lost loved ones suddenly and without being able to be there physically would be sentenced to a life of guilt. All your dad needed was to know that you loved him. That’s what he took with him.
BTW, Cool head, that guy made for you.

I adore you and Brucie! Takes alot for anyone to open up and allow yourself to be emotional..I hope that it's been cathartic. Before the pandemic, I used to do alot of solo camping... but now I wish I had a furry camping companion too, especially as a woman. Please keep the videos coming, much appreciated!

I am 43 years old and I don't know much, however, what I do know is it is never stupid to love or care about another human being or to express that love or hurt over its loss. With that said, crying and mourning the loss of someone that you love is also not stupid, and if anything it is the purest expression of the gratitude you had for being a part of their life and equally them being a part of yours.
We have a right to be in pain when we lose someone who was a large part of our lives, so never feel like you owe your audience an apology for expressing your hurt. It takes a special kind of person to express the importance of another person in their life, and anyone who would give you guff for it, really needs an eye opener.
Life is simply too short to pretend we are strong when we are not, to pretend we are brave when we don't have to be, or to force our pride to over power our priorities. True strength comes in the discovery that we really don't have strength without one another being a part of each others lives. My heart and kindest sympathies to you and your family in you time of mourning.

Hi mate. Based in London and have been watching your videos the last few months. Your openness and emotion is your strength and you should be proud of how you talk about it. I lost my Dad at just 22 in 2014 and I find the best thing is to talk like you do about it. He’d be proud of you. Keep doing your thing. All the best.

I'm new to the channel, I love your content. You're a very real channel, its raw, less edited and true to how it is.
I love camping and you've been a big inspiration so far in reigniting my desire to get out into the great outdoors.
I'm so sorry to hear about your Father and the storm damage. You will never forget but in time it is a bit easier to deal with. Thank you for sharing. Always here to listen if its needed even though you've no idea who I am....
Keep up the great work and I look forward to watching your future videos and seeing where nature takes you!
P.s. the rain really helps me sleep so I'm sorry that I often fall asleep to your videos 😂😂

Top bloke, top dog, top content. I lost my step-mum in March 2020 to cancer and the funeral was held during the first Victorian restrictions. No one could hug anyone. It was 2 people per pew spaced 2m apart and only 12 people could attend.
I'm sorry for your loss, mate. Talking about it and crying seem to be the best way to heal. That took me 40 years to learn. It can be very cathartic if you let it run it's course.
Good on ya Tony, keep living life and please keep posting these vids.
    Cheers from Oz.

I'm going to make a comment before I've finished watching the entire video because you just said something that both irritated and saddened me. You said 'Stupid' about getting emotional over your Dad. There is nothing stupid about being fragile over loosing your father. I lost mine last November, and I was sitting here crying with you. We both loved our Dads and we will both miss them terribly. As it should be.
Now - according to the playlist, it's Cigar Time. I need my cigar. I've been waiting.

Another great video...I felt the emotion when recalling your dad's passing and the destruction from the storms and I send appreciation for your sharing and was happy to see you embrace it and let it pass. I think that the reason you may have comments about the rain is because in some of your vids you have clearly made the sound of the rain on the tarp take precedence. Such was the case in the very first vid that I watched and it hooked me immediately. I am watching from a 21 inch screen and didn't see or hear the rain on the first day although I knew from your and Bruce's appearance that it was so. I am not familiar with NZ at all. What kind of wildlife might be drawn to your smells of delicious food? The break you took around 1:11:33....great visual and sound of the fire burning while you were off camera!
