I feel like people hate Tom Cruise as a person but love his movies. He's undeniably a weirdo, but, hes' also a fucking movie star. The guy brings it every time, Edge of Tomorrow might have been the coolest action movie of last year and I loved him in it.
All the Tom Cruise haters really need to shut up already. Who cares about his personal life. The man is a genius on screen and has proved that time and time again
TheErebusGaming Who wakes up in the morning and decides to be an asshole about something that does not affect them whatsoever, like someone else's dress sense? Let her wear what she wants without criticism. Seriously, the world needs LESS of those kinds of nit-picky, mean-spirited, degrading, and void of human kindness put-downs. It does nothing other than shit on someone, and yet looking at the thumbs up, you see why people do it. Society rewards the bully. People like cruelty and belittlement, except when it's done to them. Let's be better than looking at someone and doing the 'laugh, point, and thoughtless put-down'.
I totally want to see more Les Grossman! I think Cruise probably is the biggest movie star alive and if it weren't for the couch and Scientology stuff more people would admit that. He's taking on all these action / sci fi roles and I think its not resonating with audiences as much because he can do it better than 95% of leading actors with one arm tied behind his back. As dedicated as he is it really is too easy for him to keep on saving the world. But with roles like A Few Good Men, Magnolia, and Tropic Thunder he is doing something else and challenging himself more.
atanu patwary Thank you. It was easily the most eye-rolling MI film. The stupid rabbit's foot and Michelle Monaghan suddenly being able to shoot like a pro after one second. And PSH going out in a lame way. Ugh.
I never get the hate for M:I-3..thats a great flick! It's got heart, great action setpieces, great oneliners, compelling characters, a great villain and it's compelling from start to finish. You know what, fuck this, i'm gonna put it on right now
It took me a while to learn to like part 3, mainly because it was more action oriented than espionage like the 1st one. Once you get over that and accept the "new normal" of the MI franchise, then they are great action movies. This is my order of favoritism from best to worst: Part 1 Part 5 Part 3 Part 4 Part 2
well I usually like amy but my god I will now question her opinions. Rouge Nation is my favorite MI next to the first. It is FAR better than 3 and better than 4. That opera house scene was phenomenal and I couldn't believe how well the film was directed. will be keeping an eye on this director now. The female protagonist was also amazing, whoever she is, we'll see more of her. Only weakness is, I agree, it's a bit too long and exhausting near the end. Villain a little weak but outside of that an absolute 8/10 and must see. and yes 92% certified on RT so Amy is not only in the minority but also plain wrong
I named my hedgehog Kubrick and everytime I hear someone mention Stanley Kubrick by his last name I'm like, "but he's a hedgehog how did he ...oh wait."
The villain in Ghost Protocol was the former Swedish game theory guru who was bent on nuclear war. He was a good villain, but I thought his character's motives were a little thin. Ghost Protocol is still my favorite of the series though.
Audiences really didn't go to see Edge of Tomorrow ?! Yes they did : $370m worldwide, $100m domestic, in 2014, it was the biggest Cruise movie he did in 3 years since Ghost Protocol. Audiences paid to see that movie.
Tom Cruise is such a great guy, I've always liked him. So what if he subscribes to a wacky religion, it's no less weird than any other established religion.
No, I know all about it. All about the volcanoes, and the soul-catchers, and the DC-8-looking spaceships. If Scientology had been around for 2000 years, and it was one of the 3 most popular religions in the world, and there were multiple scientology churches in every town in America, and suddenly some celebrities started subscribing to a religion about an omnipotent being in the clouds who magically made a woman pregnant with a guy who could walk on water and turn water into wine and that same omnipotent being created the whole Earth in seven days, then we'd think it would sound pretty weird.
0=Axel=0 EXACTLY! All religion is written by MAN, it is all FAKE because humans need to believe in something greater than themselves to feel accomplishment or to be able to live properly. LOLZ. Cthulu will come for us all.
I haven't seen the film yet (though I want to ASAP), but why would I be pissed because someone has a difference of opinion? My favorite critics aren't necessarily the ones that I happen to agree with the most; they're the ones who are the most challenging, and get me to look at art and culture in ways that maybe I hadn't before. I disagree with Amy Nicholson on many films (like Goodfellas, for example), but she's honestly one of the best writers I've ever read.
Nope nope nope. She loves MI3. I can generally handle differing opinions, but that is too stupid. It's like being an Episode 1 defender. Shouldn't be on a show with this general level of quality.
Hi Amy, thanks for stopping by. You are hard to understand so please, slow down, sit up straight, enunciate and project. Also please try to review a movie on the movie's merits. A movie review channel doesn't need a Tom Cruise expert, it needs an intelligent movie reviewer.
WTF kind of a silly line is 'there comes a point when a certain person becomes so famous he can't play the bad guy' -- REALLY?! Man that is such a bullshit argument.
The reason I find this movie the best is because it had some of the best action. Extremely likable characters. And it had TONS of mind games stuff instead of pure action. I don't believe you can say the mind games aspect was used as much in the other movies beside the first one.
Great point about Tom Cruise, Amy! I've been wondering when he's going to do some dramas again. And his movies has been doing pretty well lately, maybe not Avengers numbers, but people still want to pay. I think it's time he gets out of the blockbuster mode and flex the acting muscles. He can do anything he wants, to be honest.
This movie was amazing. So amazing I saw it twice, tom cruise has a sleek attitude towards this and I think the line up with jeremy renner, ving rhames & simon pegg was fit together so well. I said it was boring when I saw the trailer, I was so suprised I decided to see it again. It was very, very, very action packed and most of it was mild violence but some was actual violence. For a 12a it was very good. Amazing quality, actors, setup and more... 9.5/10
I fucking love Tom Cruise. I know, there were those few years where we were all wondering about his sanity... let's all just agree to have gotten over that. Dude just makes movie fun for your entertainment.
the best word to describe MI3 is forgettable. I've seen it twice. once a few years back and second time a month ago. I still can't recall anything outside of hoffman and one action scene. it's so by the numbers, generic, and cliche but in no way a bad film. To say it's better than MI5 is laughable having just seen it
I loved this movie and I think it's the best of the Mission Impossibles. It takes the best parts of the best movies and even some Daniel Craig James Bond. It's fucking awesome and you should go see it.
My problem with Cruise is that he seems incapable of making a sci-fi movie without ruining the ending. Hero's journey. Sacrifice ending. Followed by second inexplicable happy ending. Minority report is arguable, but War of the Worlds' ending is inexplicably awful. The pattern has become so predictable by the time he does Oblivion and Edge of Tomorrow that you can either stop watching after ending # 1 and enjoy a good movie or stay for the credits and have that good movie ruined by a tacked on unnecessary happy ending.
Whatever Tom maybe in real life, he rarely does a bad movie. His movies, to me, always has a decent if not a great storyline and great action sequences.
For me this is the best Mission Impossible Movie. But really the only one that is noticeably weaker is MI 2 and I like that movie in the context of the series too.
yeah this movie was great. really fun. it doesn't even need to be called mission impossible since it's more like tom cruise vs bad guys with the help of these guys
I love how she says M:I-3 is the best one and Alonso is just like OK. end of conversation, agree to disagree. M:I-2 was just awful and every one since has been utterly forgettable. Fun action-y popcorn that you walk away and forget 5 minutes later. There has not been a good mission impossible plot since the first one, and I'm struggling to even remember any of action set-pieces from any of them.
I don't think anyone has a problem with Tom Cruise the actor. They have a problem with the man, mainly because he's a Scientologist. I feel that now that Scientology has basically been exposed for the whole world to see, Cruise causes less damage. So I mind his kooky beliefs less, and can just enjoy his good sides.
Well, if the guy wasn´t that weirdo , he wouldn´t do those amazing stunts only for our pleasure and entertainment... so, cheers for him. And MI5 is the best so far. No critics would take away the satisfaction of watching this amazing action movie.
I thought this movie was good, but it was also pretty boring. There was far too much talking and not enough action. Don't get me wrong, there was action but the action sequences were way too short.
I still hate Tom Cruise. He freaks me out very badly. I feel like his character in Collateral is the closest to his real personality. He has these slaves on these Scientology ships shining his boots. He scares me so bad that I have nightmares about him. So when watching his movies, I get uncomfortable. He just seems manic in all his roles. Movie wise, End of Tomorrow was better.
May as well have watched 2 guys talk about football, while the woman tries to butt in to talk about pretty things. Good review, but lol @ the womans input.
What? Mission Impossible 1 by the great Brian De Palma along with Ghost Protocol are the best. The first one has a lot of great use of composition and direction. Why is it boring? Because it doesn't have a lot of cgi?
What a dumb review!! MI 3 is the best in franchise??!!!! Are you freaking kidding??!! No wonder this review got only 37,000+ views. She was such a creep toward Cruise the whole time! I mean, I get it you hate action movies, you don't understand action movies that much. But, that doesnt mean that you have to be such a creep in front of the whole world. Film critics should be unbiased. If you don't understand a genera, leave that review to others. You dont have to talk stupid and try to prove your " Vast knowledge" toward a film about which you dont have any idea. I'm sure she is one of that critics who thinks terminator 4 is better that terminator 2 because Cristian bell is their fav actor. Matt and Alonso were great as usual but she totally ruined it! A review point 6 for MI5?!!! WTF!! Really disappointed on "What the flick?!"
I feel like people hate Tom Cruise as a person but love his movies. He's undeniably a weirdo, but, hes' also a fucking movie star. The guy brings it every time, Edge of Tomorrow might have been the coolest action movie of last year and I loved him in it.
Alexander Forbes Yeah, Edge of Tomorrow kept me glued to my seat wondering the reason for the time shift. Emily Blunt rocked it too.
Yea, I hate him personally coz of his scientology crap but generally I like his movies, most of them r good stuff.
All the Tom Cruise haters really need to shut up already. Who cares about his personal life. The man is a genius on screen and has proved that time and time again
I've always liked Tom Cruise, the last bastion of the old school film star.
Rogue Nation is by far my fav MI movie.
I can't tell if I want to like Tom Cruise but don't, or I don't want to like Tom Cruse but do.
This explained how I feel perfectly 😂😂
Fangtorn I don't want to like him, but I do. Regardless of what we've heard about him, he's just got this charisma that can't be ignored.
***** No, but I have a copy of the English version somewhere, at least I did...
***** Was that sentence supposed to make any kind of sense?
Who wakes up in the morning and decided to put a blue napkin around their throat?
TheErebusGaming Crips, Beverly Hills chapter.

oldmoviemusic Well, someone had a shitty day, didn't they?
Trailer: Tom Cruise hanging off a moving airplane sold me.
But with roles like A Few Good Men, Magnolia, and Tropic Thunder he is doing something else and challenging himself more.
MI: Rogue Nation was great and just a ton of fun, that's all there is to it. I wasn't bored for a single second of this film.
Just because it had Phillip symor Hoffman doesn't make MI3 a great movie. It was mediocre at best.
atanu patwary Thank you. It was easily the most eye-rolling MI film. The stupid rabbit's foot and Michelle Monaghan suddenly being able to shoot like a pro after one second. And PSH going out in a lame way. Ugh.
I was ready to write off the M:I franchise before Ghost Protocol and MAN that movie blew me away. Excited to hear this one is also a thrill ride.
I didn't know amy was a crip...
On the topic of Tom Cruise I would LOVE to see him do another serious villain role like Collateral.
I never get the hate for M:I-3..thats a great flick!
It's got heart, great action setpieces, great oneliners, compelling characters, a great villain and it's compelling from start to finish.
You know what, fuck this, i'm gonna put it on right now
Daskaar I liked MI3, but so much of it felt like I was watching Alias with Tom Cruise.
It took me a while to learn to like part 3, mainly because it was more action oriented than espionage like the 1st one. Once you get over that and accept the "new normal" of the MI franchise, then they are great action movies. This is my order of favoritism from best to worst:

Hey Alonso, there's no 3D version. :)
Tropic Thunder is the only movie I was pleasantly surprised to see Tom Cruise in. Mainly because I didn't even recognise him
Tom Cruise is such a great guy, I've always liked him. So what if he subscribes to a wacky religion, it's no less weird than any other established religion.

Amy should be here on a regular basis
***** Anyone who has a different opinion then yours is wrong? OK.
marblee Amy's brilliant; Josh obviously knows nothing of her work.
I haven't seen the film yet (though I want to ASAP), but why would I be pissed because someone has a difference of opinion? I'm open about the fact that I love Tom Cruise, the man is a professional, never seen him phone it in.
Hooray for Swedish actresses of recent times .... Lena Olin, Izabella Scorupco, Noomi Rapace, Alicia Vikander ... and now Rebecca Ferguson.
I fucking love Tom Cruise. I know, there were those few years where we were all wondering about his sanity... let's all just agree to have gotten over that. Dude just makes movie fun for your entertainment.
Declaring the villain in Ghost Protocol was actually protocol is hilarious. Amy is awesome.
Wonder if Xenu liked it?
My favorite Cruise movie is still Last Samurai.
Sotai Yeah. Last Samurai is great.
The make-up artist makes Amy look like a zombie from TWD.
lmao
the best word to describe MI3 is forgettable. I've seen it twice. once a few years back and second time a month ago. This might be my favourite one. I certainly likd it more then ghost protocol.
Tom Cruise works for the International Monetary Fund?
That's the twist. He's the villain!
I loved this movie and I think it's the best of the Mission Impossibles. It takes the best parts of the best movies and even some Daniel Craig James Bond. It's fucking awesome and you should go see it.
No mention of Lemure and why she's noticeably absent

Is Amy ok? She looks like she has a fever or is recovering from a Cold
Gavin48 Or maybe she just looks like that.
jed52
She doesn;t normally look that Sweaty
The villain in this movie is Steve Jobs.
I like Tom Cruise :)
we need a ben and christy review, this movie is too awshum to short change GET THE WHOLE SQUAD IN!
This looks awesome! Unlike so many action movies, there seems to be a lot of humor in this.
MI3 is an episode of Alias... girl, you crazy.. Ghost Protocol all the way
For me this is the best Mission Impossible Movie. But really the only one that is noticeably weaker is MI 2 and I like that movie in the context of the series too.
Is Ben gone??!? Awesome!
4 > 3 > 1 > 5 > that which should not be numbered
bring Amy Nicholson back, whenever. She's lovely
Jarrell Jones she has a permanent whiny voice
I wonder now that this movie made 650 million dollars these three still think Tom Cruise can't bring people to the box office haha!
yeah this movie was great. really fun. it doesn't even need to be called mission impossible since it's more like tom cruise vs bad guys with the help of these guys
I don't know if I can trust someone who loves Tom Cruise as an actor.
He has his moments but come on
whats up the humans reviews?? there's nothing pass the first 3 episodes
serenityq26 I guess because it is a really mediocre show.
serenityq26 or even better, why no Mr Robot reviews..?
i personally love it and the guys seemed to be digging it. maybe they are too busy or the viewings are really low?
This movie looks amazing, definitely going to see it this weekend.
Always great to see Amy Nicholson on WTF. :)
I've never cared enough to watch a Mission Impossible movie, but this one looks interesting.
I love how she says M:I-3 is the best one and Alonso is just like OK. end of conversation, agree to disagree. M:I-2 was just awful and every one since has been utterly forgettable. More Amy- love at first sight. I am excited to see M! - Rogue Nation.
Yeah !!! No ! No! No! lol idk why but i hate when ppl talk like that it bugs me so much
Those BMW S1000RR's. My baby. ♥
Really like Amy, even though I missed Christy.
Tom cruise should play nathan drake in an Uncharted film.
It was pretty obvious that Ferguson wasn't going to be a villain. Come on.
Can we have Christy back please?
IMO, ghost protocol>rogue nation>mi3>mi2>mi1
I totally agree with everything that lady has said
Well, if the guy wasn´t that weirdo , he wouldn´t do those amazing stunts only for our pleasure and entertainment... so, cheers for him. And MI5 is the best so far. No critics would take away the satisfaction of watching this amazing action movie.
I thought this movie was good, but it was also pretty boring. There was far too much talking and not enough action. Don't get me wrong, there was action but the action sequences were way too short.
WolverinesNation92 Do you have ADHD?
Bow to the Tomato Meter!
A really good review.
Amy, you and I are >>>>>>>>>>>>here
I WILL NEVER WATCH A TOM CRUISE MOVIE AGAIN, EVER.
This is the 4th best m:i? Shots fired
Man, I only watch this show for Christy....
A 6 is wild
Hating Tom Cruise is so 5 years ago.
This was a great fun movie but Ghost Protocol was better.
I CAN'T WAIT!
Amy!
stop talking with ur hands silly amy.
does it look like she is covering up black eyes with makeup?
How many anti-Wal Mart stories have I seen TYT do and yet I see a Wal Mart ad before this video...someone should fix that shit
They (as in all youtubers) don't have any say on what advertisements proceed their videos.
IstahilIB that's unfortunate
I still hate Tom Cruise. He freaks me out very badly. I feel like his character in Collateral is the closest to his real personality. He has these slaves on these Scientology ships shining his boots. She's not good at critics at all. This movie was not a 6
Hey look a movie these guys actually like
9.1/10.
May as well have watched 2 guys talk about football, while the woman tries to butt in to talk about pretty things.
Good review, but lol @ the womans input.
It was SO fun, I saw it twice! :D
MI3 is the best
Rogue Nation, then MI2...the rest.
Meh
mission impossible 1 was the most boring one out of all of them
you're high ! the first one and ghost protocol are the best in the franchise (haven't seen the new one yet)
What? Mission Impossible 1 by the great Brian De Palma along with Ghost Protocol are the best. The first one has a lot of great use of composition and direction. Why is it boring? Because it doesn't have a lot of cgi?
Enrique Godinez right ?! the first was a great thriller/spy movie. Least action of them all but the direction was awesome
A review point 6 for MI5?!!! WTF!! Really disappointed on "What the flick?!"
Zero interest in Cruise or his movies.
juancho420 Your loss. Why watch the review then?
juancho420 Go watch Edge of Tomorrow and tell me that again
Did this piece of shit sequel actually deserve a review?
Sean Harris!
