This time, I visited the "53rd Kanuma Satuki Azalea Festival 2024" held in Kanuma City, Tochigi Prefecture.
It's the ultimate festival for azalea enthusiasts, with renowned trees from all over the country making an impressive display.
About 300 pieces were exhibited, allowing us to see various special Satuki azalea bonsais from both Japan and abroad.
During this period when azaleas shine the brightest, the leaves are brimming with vitality, and the flowers bloom dazzlingly, creating a magnificent landscape as if dressed in garments.
The venue, "Kanuma City Flower and Tree Center," is a paradise for gardening enthusiasts, offering not only azalea-related items but also seasonal flowers and trees, various bonsais such as chinese junuiper shinpaku and pine, gardening materials, landscaping materials, and more. Additionally, the vast premises include a barbecue area, dining options, and a bonsai café.
Although the location is remote, it's a place I recommend visiting at least once.

I'm sorry, but I'm not knowledgeable about how to grow satsuki bonsai, so I can't provide an answer. I apologize for not meeting your expectations.

I am Japanese and live in Japan, but I am not a bonsai artist.
However, I love bonsai and also grow them myself. I mainly cultivate pines and chinese juniper, but I am still a novice.
Therefore, I really love seeing the wonderful bonsai created by my seniors. I enjoy sharing these amazing bonsai with others.

I don't have videos of my own bonsai, as I don't yet have the skill or works that are worth showing. I apologize for that.
