Haven't tried out the product yet because I see people complaining of getting dull complexion after using this particular serum and also because of my facial hair. And it contains EGF, too. So yeah, I too, am pretty scared. Haha 😅 Although it improved laugh lines for some but nah.. I just can't.

I'm a new peptide serum user. My skin is combination sensitive. Recently I bought a peptide serum from The Derma Co, and it's stinging my face every time I use it. I've used it on a clean face and followed it up with a moisturizer, and it has stung. I've even used it after the Cosrx Snail Mucin essence, and it has still stung. I'm keeping it simple and not using any other actives with it, but it's still painful. It isn't leading to any inflammation or textures, but I just wanted to know whether peptide serums in general are supposed to sting or not. And if not, then what am I doing wrong and how can I use the serum properly so that it doesn't sting.

Some amino acids and small peptides excutes/irritate nerve endings, especially in sensitive skin U can try a soothing cream which has Oat straw extract like aveeno Apply aveno then cleanse with mild hydrating face wash then use peptide serum and if it stings again apply aveeno Also use less about of peptide serum to build tolerance If it still stings then you can stick to some other serum which hasn't free amino acid aspartic and glutamic acid
