Baguio is basically a city. Nothing is grown there! 😂 It's biggest taxpaying income is ( believe it or not ) electronics followed by tourism. Highland crops such as potatoes, carrots, celery, etc., are grown in the outskirts of Baguio up the mountain trail through Benguet and Mountain Province. This is also where the gold and copper mines are.
Of course. When speaking of veggies from Baguio, people don't mean the city, but the surroundings (maybe to talk about Benguet province would be more accurate). People at the market understand what I mean 😉 Products from there are often labeled "Baguio".

@@labluechannel yes, you're right... 😀
Philippine wine is a myth I guess. Most fruit are from China. Here in Bukidnon in the highland of Mindanao we produce plenty of Pineapple and vegetable to be sold to Luzon. pineapple cost here 30p/kg in the market.
It's not real wine, you are right. But they do make fruit wine from grapes in La Union. It only has little alcohol and does not taste like real wine. Those fruits and vegetables, for which the regions in lower elevations are not ideal, are also grown in mountainous regions of Luzon. I'm not an expert on this, but always learning. I found this (apparently from 2016) on the website of the Philippine Senat:
"Pineapple is extensively cultivated in the country. Large plantations on Mindanao mainly export the fruits while those on Luzon and in the Visayas supply the domestic markets."
@@labluechannel Havent seen any large scale grape farming here in Mindanao.
