Wow, really solid video. Got a MF242dw yesterday at a great price, got it going, but was looking to print a test page, and ran across this older video. Your printer is more sophisticated then mine with it's touch screen, and document feeder, but I can't see any difference in getting mine set up to use. Thanks for a great video. :-) {found a French video to print the "User Data List" ~ 3 pages of fun facts... well, facts about the printer, and how it's set up so to speak} Works for me. Cheers

Many thanks on your video. I set up my printer with no problems tonight, just by following along with your instructions. What's your policy on keeping the box these electronics come in? Do you keep them or toss them?
Hi VancouverMagic, Glad we could be of help - Appreciate your comments! Small Electronic Items like this... Short answer - Packaging - 30 to 45 days. Longer Answer - Life of Warranty. For 30 Days - You'll contact the place of Purchase. After 30 days, you're dealing with the Manufacturer. Now if Costco sold this Printer, you'd have 90 days and so then you've want to keep all packaging for that amount of time. On Larger Items - Depends. Like in a crate or a FilmTools Video Cart - Immediate trash. Great Question - Thanks for asking! And Thanks for Watching! Hope this helps!
I was going to have my guru come and hook it up (I was tired when I had that thought), but after watching your vid, I feel more than competent to handle it. I'm planning on using the USB on my desktop. Tired of all the wireless stuff. I did miss the part on rotating the cartridge before removing all the orange stuff, so worried I'll have ink all over. Only one way to find out. "Carefully" rotate now before downloading the drivers. Thanks, BoB.

Hi@@popaki9484, Personally We prefer Canon. Did You know the original HP LaserJet Printers were using Canon engines! Fascinating! That was Our 1st Canon Laser Printer! Why buy HP when You can use what they use! Been doing this for a long time and love it! The only issue some Users have had with Canon is they complain about Configurations. Super easy. Just pay attention to the Instructions. Unboxing, Setup and Installation is easy. The Network Phonebook was tricky and counter intuitive but doable by following directions! That's a Test and Verify procedure anyway. Scanning from the Computer or Scanning from the Device. Both work very well. Just get everything installed and pay attention to what You see on the Screen! A Laser cartridge will still be good 5 years from now whether You use it or not. Does not dry out. Does not deteriorate! Better value. InkJet inks are way over priced and can dry out even if new. And those InkJet prints fade over time. Everything You've Outlined says this will do what You want. We've set up several for Clients. Good value! A workhorse!
