The Late Vince Karalius was picked for the 1958 Great Britain ashes touring team to Australia and New Zealand and played a large part in the Historic 2nd Test and subsequent series win against Australia.
Vince played at loose forward in the 1956 and 1961 St. Helens Challenge Cup winning teams at Wembley. He also played for his home town club Widnes in the 1964 Challenge Cup win.
He was the first forward to be inducted into the Rugby League Hall of Fame.
It was my privilege to interview Vince and to get to know him, sadly for such a short time. I know that this is a view that will resonate with everyone who was equally privileged to meet a truly inspiring human being.
Farewell Vince, you will never to be forgotten.

Where he was from means absolutely nothing.
According to my late Dad. Vince was and will remain one of the finest players the World will ever see from an era when money wasn't king. . A Class act

Yes my Friend! Forwards now in Oz Teams they have Brazilian JU Jitsu Men teaching the Forwards how to do what's called the Chicken Wing etc. etc. Get rid of them as the Game needs some Freedom to be a Dave 'Cement' Gillespie, Les 'Bundy' Davidson could box on. Steve 'Blocker' Roach etc etc. I have lost interest as the GAME is over Refereed.

Great Admiration for the Gladiatorial Way Vince played! What a Champion and I'm a Proud, Respectful Aussie. Derek Turner, McTigue, the list goes on for the way they played. Jack Wilkinson etc . etc. And Dick Huddart. They Played Hard, drew in the Defenders and pop the pass to the on coming bloke running through. Aussie Big Artie Beetson with that monster backside could do it, drew in around 4 Defenders, Twisted and popped the Ball to a Forward running off him. Where in Gods name has this type of play gone???
